Hi Angeline,

Kids of any age needs sunblock, esp when they are outdoors with plentiful of sun exposure.

you can try Avene Sun Lotion 50SPF (suitable for kids). U can get Avene products at major dept stores - John Little, Robinsons, Guardian Pharmacy.

yes, need...tt time i brought my boy to thailand, i also apply sun block for him..the sun is just super bright..

i m using mustela sunblock for kids. it's a very small tube so can bring around anywhere n apply when needed.

Hi snowball32,

Thanks for sharing. I am also looking for sunblock suitable for kids and adults. Tried California baby sunblock, but it's too thick and difficult to apply on the skin. My skin feels oily and clogged after application.

Is the avene sunblock suitable for adults too? Is the lotion light and easy to apply on? Do you know how much does it cost? Thanks in advance.

Hi Moorspa,

Avene sunblock is also suitable for adults. The SPF50 is also for use by kids (they have printed on the packaging that its suitable for kids). Its non-greasy and easy to use (lotion like) (my kids have sensitive skin. Cost is ard $40+. 1 tube can last me ard 6mths(for 2 kids use weekly for their swimming lessons and some outdoors) U can try John Little now which shd have 20% discounts offer now.

snowball, lasery2k,

Babies after 6 months may apply a considerable amount of sunblock already. Currently my daughter (7m) is using the California Baby SPF 30+ “No Fragrance” Sunscreen 2.9oz. It contains no irritants and is non-allergy to baby's skin, so you don't have to worry about skin rashes or other issues. Apply a small amount on areas exposed to sunlight will do as it still blocks out UV.

You may purchase it at www.agapebabies.com at SGD$29.00. It is cheaper than Watsons or anywhere else you can find.

Hi Angeline,

Just to share, currently I am using California Baby SPF 30 sunblock. it is thick and not easy to apply. Personally, I find it too thick and not easily absorbed by the skin. I hv researched on the Internet for Avene sun lotion SPF 50 after snowball32 recommended it to you, and it has a lot of raving reviews. It is made in France. Alternatively, you can try out California Baby sunblock lotion, the lotion is thinner and easier to apply.
