FTM on a budget for confinement

Hi mamas! FTM here and trying to be realistic + budget-conscious.

I’m considering hiring a confinement nanny for 7–10 days only (not the usual 28 days) mainly to:

• help during the first few days post-delivery
• learn basic baby care (bathing, diapering, soothing)
• get some guidance on breastfeeding
• allow me to rest and recover a bit

After that, it’ll mostly be just me and my husband. For those who took short packages (7–10 days):

• Was it enough for you as a FTM?
• Did you feel overwhelmed after the nanny left?
• Anything you wish you’d known before deciding
