Dear
@celestaseah , I am so sorry to hear about your recent ectopic. I feel for you because I myself went through a laparoscopy in Oct to remove my right tube and fetus. Tube had ruptured, I was alone at home and fainted when I got to hospital. It was the scariest experience of my life.
Now, after a month, my HCG has dropped from 7000 (on op day) to 100+ in a week, and then down to 55 before coming back up to the 120-130 level this week. I am wondering if anyone has experienced this after an ectopic? It is exactly one month after my operation, and I feel ok - no bleeding or cramps etc. Period also has not come.
I live in Indonesia and am hoping to go to Singapore next week for a second opinion (my doctor here in Indonesia suggests taking a Methotrexate jab to get my HCG down to zero but I am not sure about it, as I already had to go through a surgery and would prefer for the HCG to drop by itself. I have been recommended Dr WK Tan at Thomson - but I would much prefer getting a recommendation from someone who has been treated for ectopic pregnancy in Singapore so that I know the doctor has experience in this. Anyone has a recommendation?
Anyone with experience in this, is it possible for the HCG to drop to zero after it has seemingly plateaued?
This is such a depressing situation - my first pregnancy after 3 rounds of IVF and now all I can think about is to get my HCG back down to zero!
Please advise...Thank you so much!
