Divorcing & maintainence

Ive a court order for maintainence. but he have not been paying for 4mths in 2011 n 4mths in 2010.

ive been giving him alot of lead time as he claimed he got debts from banks n etc

until today i check his cpf then i realize his income for sep n oct was more than 3k n nov 2k.

i very fuming mad.

any idea if he really owe bank debts.
will child maintainence be given priority first?

hopefully there will be real cases to share w me.

if you have a court order for maintenance and he is not paying...you can get him thrown in jail, if I am not wrong..??

Hi Grace, if he's not paying or stopped paying or even irregular payments of maintenance, u can go to family court to file a complain. Then they will will summon him to court to question him y he hasn't paid. U will have to present to the court evidence of his payment and tat its been lacking for how long. Was there an agreed Amt to start with? Like in ur order? Then u juz need to fill in how long he hasnt paid.
U'll have to go thru mediation first to settle things peacefully, if cant u will be presented in front of a judge and he will decide. If ur case is more complex or serious, u will have to go thru a trial where both sides need to present evidence on y he can't pay etc.

This guy has change his address and contact number, the court ask me to find his contact before going to file a complain for the payments of maintenance. But I could not even find his frens. so is there any alternative ways???

I cant afford a pi dear.. somemore he alwas job-hop.. think cant be help right.. really felt helpless as my son grown up le and wanted to know who is the father too though i remarried. Therefore i really want to find him out so that i dun feel bad for my son.. dear mummies can help me check if there is any other ways.. thanks..
