Hi Melly
Here are some answers to your questions.
Breast pumps - If you are working and intend to return to the workforce, then get a dual electric pump. Otherwise a single electric or manual pump should do fine, if you intend to be a stay-at-home or work-from-home mum. I used Medela.
Bottles - most brands offer 'starter kits' which may include about 3 bottles. You can get one of those for a start. Do note that bottles and teats need to be changed every 3 months or when they start to yellow. I used Pigeon bottles and teats.
Sanitiser - It depends on the amount of kitchen counter space you have to include this machine. Afterall, you will need to use it for a year. I received mine as a gift. The brand is Fralin.
Warmer - there are some brands that have warmers and bottle sanitisers in the same machine, so you may want to look ut for those. I randomly bought one from Tollyjoy.
Storage containers - Personally, I bought Streamline (milktrays) from Mumsfairy (online store). They look like ice-cube trays but actually meant for milk. The downside is that they are not meant for storing milk, but rather freezing the milk (like ice) before you transfer into ziplocks or milk storage bags. But I like it because every frozen milkstick is exactly 30ml or 1 ounce. Makes my life easier and more environmentally friendly.
Nursing bras - do get some of these during the 3rd trimester. Do note that most nursing bras look frumpy. Otherwise, some online shops do sell more modern nursing bras. However, do not purchase those with underwire as it can affect the production of the milk supply.
Nipple cream - for the 1st 2 weeks of breastfeeding when you would get sore nipples. This is because 1. Both baby and you are picking up the correct method to latch. 2. Your milk supply is determined during these 2 weeks, so you will like to have to pump after latching. So you will definitely go through some discomfort like engorgement and sore nipple.
Hot/Cold Compressions - good for verry bad engorgement (breasts have too much milk). Just apply and massage before latching/pumping. You can use hanky soaked in hot/ice water as compressions too.
The key to nursing is fluid and rest. Drink at least 30mins before latch/pump. Have ample rest. Stressful mums will not be able to get good supply.
