Bleeding after delivery

hi mummy,

It's been like one week 3 days after my normal delivery, I still have bleeding like bright red is it normal ? I'm not having any fever or anything just worried about bleeding too much or something I should take note of

Normal to have bleeding.. Can last up to a month. If concerned check with your gynae

It is normal. Mine was close to 1.5 months, I even had a big clot of blood on the pad once. FYI, the bleeding is called Lochia.

I bled for about 6 weeks, discharge was bright red the whole time. I was worried bcos many websites say after the first 1-2 weeks it should turn brown or clear, went to see the gynae and she said nothing to worry about. As long as it's getting less heavy, and you don't feel faint or look pale, should be ok! Just have to use up a lot of sanitary pads haha, and hope you don't get a "nappy rash" like I did!
