You could try making a family photo collage or a video montage for him and something practical like a briefcase/wallet that he needs.
 
You can design and make passes such as BOY NIGHT'S OUT, 2 hours of Master Treatment, or something that he likes to do but need "CLEARANCE" from you.

A good best birthday gift for your hubby is a good pair of compression socks. It help to relieve his leg muscle tiredness, via a good smooth blood circulation flow..helps for anyone with feet problem too, especially man who doesn't remove shoes in office...pls pm me with. contact no, if you wish to see the product.

Best gift amongst all types.
 
Knee length comfortable good quality unisex compression socks...everyone will appreciate it..we need to take care of our feet too.

There are websites such as shutterfly.com where you can purchase photo gifts such as calendars, notebooks, mugs, even iphone cases with photos that you send in. I kinda like the latter, cos it's so practical and your hub can look at the photos of you and/or kids all day long. :) Also pretty affordable, depending on what you buy.
