Hihi,

I am also a migraine sufferer from pre and post menstruation!! Didn't know of anyone that has the same problem as me ! I thought i was the only one. It was so bad that in the past I had to take panadol for the whole day. Like every 6 hours.

I had tried all sorts of methods...himalaya salt with lemon juice....100 plus mixed with water....exercise...non works.

I am now on health supplement which is recommended by physicians, i wouldn't say no more migraine but i can confidently tell you that the migraine attacks are alot alot alot lesser.

Hi,

Initially I didn't know that I was having migraine pre and post menstruation (migraine even attack during menses). After a year having migraine den I realise I had menstruation migraine... Wow... U sure ate lots of Panadol. Panadol does not work on me. So I was given stronger painkiller. Yeah I tried a lot of methods too but no work oso...

Oh wat health supplement are you taking now. So far doctor only asked me to eat Panadol/painkiller if got attack. I dunno what else to do. This migraine really affect my daily work.

I dunno if got any cure for menstruation migraine. I would like to take contraceptive injection but heard one of the side effect is headache; and if combine with my migraine I could not imagine wat will become of me.

I was given stronger medications too. Went to see specialist also. Did MRI, CT Scan....fortunately nothing wrong with me. Specialist gave me a medicine called zomig...and voltaren. I have tried all kinds of painkillers. So much that I have to take the painkillers with gastric pills.

I can totally understand what you are going through. The migraine not only affects my work, it also affects my daily lifestyle....family time with kids....

I have searched online the cure but there is no cure but methods to relieve. I am so so so desperate to try all kinds of methods to get rid of my migraine. My fren in Nuskin recommended me R2, it has many many other benefits besides improving on migraine. Initially i was skeptical. Until for about 3 months, I noticed the migraine attack becoming lessser and lesser. Sometimes there is no attacks at all for that month. Even my hubby also notices it. I am very very glad I found something for my migraine.

I read up alot and researched on R2 before I took it. I still have the information. Let me know if you are interested to read them.

Improve your health 1st then consider about your contraceptive injection. =)

Oh.. u even wen to the specialist. I used to take ponstan painkiller, help to relieve de migraine but only for awhile den it does not wrk. Den now i was given naproxen painkiller, hope dis will last longer.

R2? Hem i shall read up on dis. Can share de info on R2?
How do you purchase R2, from ur fren or doctor?

Dats y.. my priority is de migraine... really cant take it. Btw i read up abt menstrual migraine and i saw migraine with aura too. U know wat dis aura tingy about?

You asked for contraception for migraine sufferer.

Have you asked your doctor, or have you tried the pill? The pill sometimes work wonders for all the associated side effects of menstruation. So far I have had friends taking it for a variety of reasons, including the non-sexually active ones!

It is like a hormone regulator - controlling things from like pimples outbreak, rash outbreak, severe tummyaches, etc. You can research and see if it had worked with people with menstruation migraines. I have a feeling the pill might work, or at least in some cases. And, it is also a contraception!

I havv not consult any doctor yet and still sourcing which clinic/hospital should i go.

I hav not tried de pills. I do google wat migraine suffer use/take for contraceptive. Hem. Some give good review and some mention it gets worst so im abit sceptical.

At first i tot of de injection but aft reading up, i find dat most will hav bad effect aft de injection and the worst part have to endure it for 3mths.

I tinking if de pills too but still 50-50... i dunno which doctor should i go to for consultation.

Hi lady_ekin,

I too suffer from migraines. I was on the Pill (Yasmin) for 2+ years due to endometriosis. I found the Pill neither lessened my migraines nor worsened them. My migraines remained the same in terms of pain and frequency.

You could consider going on the Pill. The side effects are different for everyone.

Some medication for migraine will render the pill (or similar) ineffective. use condom, lah!

I pm you .

If your migraine is associated with premenstrual syndrome (PMS) you may find that the combined oral contraceptive pill or the injectable contraceptive can help reduce migraine at this time in your cycle. As these hormones switch off the normal menstrual cycle the natural fall in oestrogen does not occur so premenstrual migraine should be alleviated or reduced.

I was nervous about trying contraceptives due to concerns about side effects. A friend suggested Dr. Regina, and I'm glad she did. Dr. Regina took the time to understand my situation and suggested options that suited me well. If you're dealing with migraines and need advice on the right contraceptive, I highly recommend talking to her.
