Baby sleeping on stomach

Is it okay to put babies to sleep on their stomach? Someone from this mommy group is saying that I can put my baby to sleep on the stomach when he can move his head left and right. Is that true? Because last time what I heard from my PD is that we are not supposed to. Unless baby ownself turn, than can..

You should just follow the advice of your PD. If it were me, I don't think I would be able to rest knowing that my son is sleeping in a position where he won't be able to shift on his own, or that could be potentially dangerous for him
