i bought baby clothes from mothercare tampines n harbourfront. went thru all the 50% off n even under boys sections. more worth when got discount. but no sizes for the fanciful skirts! ;(
Nowadays mostly i get from Mothercare and Esprit baby coz of their quality. Fox Baby nice but quality not tat worth for prices so always end up tak beli.

yup, u can check out the saturday afternoon to evenings classes. most times will have at least a class if not 2 or 3 depending. With good coach, by Pri 4 can get gold or gold star. Some pri or sec sch have swimming prog but usually by then, its abit late. Dont forget to pack snacks. I remembered I was always hungry after my clasess! hehe..

On Friday, I brought farah to playgym and shakil to hwa xia for swimming and then spent hour or 2 at mothercare harbourfront... Bought a pair of shoes, apron bib and vcds. Nak beli swiiming shoes and trunks for shakil but realised that mothercare UK is so much cheaper so apalagi, i suruh my mum beli lah rather than spend so much here..I geram dgn baju2 dia!! And the strollers!! Temptation betul. I esp like the Sports Phil & Ted's. There's actually an attachment at the back for double stroller. Saver boot space!

Yesterday my hb's fren pun ternampak my wedding pics which we took in Korea kat Expo bridal fair. We took the package from Style bridal. Last year, my hb's solo pic was made into a huge poster...apa lagi...flying up hi lah my hb tu! heheheh

I sent my girl for sunat when she's around 2 mths old. other den bc there's nothing else tt she needs. Tapi aftr sunat, I standby Susu/Plain Water just in case dia pekik satu bilik.

My girl's hair pula very lebat, than aftr cukur rambut terus punya lambat to grow! I tried wearing my girl the same pink lacy stuffs too, bt smehow she seems so funny in those dresses! Hahaha smetimes tgk dia pakai skirt/dress mcm tersiksa gitu.

Dr Elly at Banyan Clinic say boleh skrg kalau nk tindik, bt not advisable. Hw much does it cost pat Dr Balqis? I called up Banyan Clinic and they charge $25.

u just make sure u ada warm milk for her during the short procedure...just to pacify/calm her down...masa i antar my girl dulu...i nak "cabut" tak sampai hati tengok but the doc n nurse paksa i tengok then they will do it for her...hehehehe....luckily she only ngek jerr...macam zu nya girl jugak...pastu tido after i gave the milk..slight fever at home, my mum cakap dia terperanjat agaknya...

actually u should jus ignore those who kept asking pasal its jus a "formality" agaknya to ask even the obvious...my girl look boyish when she was a baby and people lagi ada tak tanya but jus call her "ah-boy" though she's dressed in pink...dah nampak girl pon ada tanya girl or boy....
My boy pulak people presume he's a girl...now dah nampak boy pun org tanya dia boy or girl...u sabar jer lahh...hehehe

These past few days very hectic and tiring cos my kids are sick...Sarah who is already in P1 is teething!!!!!hehehe...sampai demam dah 4 days, penat jaga budak tu, malam jer temperature go up...nasib baik doc said its her last tooth...and the brother pulak kena infection on his hand cos he grazed it somewhere and it became worst after he keep on scratching it...even develop a fever too....penat maknya menjaga~!!

hehehe....the starting of parenthood memang susahhhhh....banyakl skali torns and bushes kita nak kena cut off....my time wif my hubby very limited cos i worked when my baby girl was 4 mths...start at 10am reached home by 11pm...so when we do have time we will jus go for walks in the park and buy snacks to much on while we chat about our present life and what we plan to achieve in the future....thats how me n hubby are...always hoping for a better future...
As long as we have the same goals to make our family and marriage work, we can be happy...when my hubby merajok if i spend too much time on the kids..kenalah pujuk...biasalah..hehehe
During "war times" i will keep quiet pasal nak cool down and layankan my emotions, takut kalau bukak mulut...lain padahnya pulak...my hubby didnt understand this dulu so i actually had to explain to him on wat to do when we fight...to just let me be quiet first...Now dia dah pandai...kalau ada hal ajerrr...dua dua diam...saper cool down dulu will pujuk the other and vice versa....

i think it's really up to the parents. but i didnt do it because i'm afraid my daughter might not be comfy with it. sekali, kalau dia tarik2 telinga dia, macam2 boleh berlaku. telinga boleh berdarah, the earstuds may come off lepas tu dia masukkan dalam mulut etc etc etc. so, we'll only tindik if she wants to when she's much older, maybe in primary school.

pasal girls being mistaken for boys -

my friend met this nyonya dalam lif. nyonya tanya, 'boy or girl'.

dia jawab lah, 'girl'.

nyonya tanya, 'are you sure or not?'

Abt time with hb memang la susah nak adapt. Lagi lagi me and hb kite dah biasa just 2 of us for 9 yrs. Then now ade member baru pulak. For us initially memang takde "us" time, what with our long working hrs and hb travelling.

But when hb is around we tend to eat dinner outside after work most of the time. so tu lah aje time kite together-gether. Its not quantity la, its quality. Kalau pasal hb jealous dgn baby, i tak experiance bec my boy tu memang hb punye intan payung..

im still looking out for potential buyers now...my curent buyer tu banyak reasons for his delays so im not waiting anymore..if he wants he can call but im already free from the contract so ......buyers here i come!!! hehehe...besok im going ahead to sign my exercise otp to buy that house...dont know how my agent nak handle ... ikut jer lahhhh..reno kena put aside first until i sell my house.....penatzzzzz....

same with me- I just make her wear girly clothes and/or use hairband. minimum hairband. if they say boy - I say 'alah pasal rambut pendek' in firm voice and end the conversation. i find as first time mum- lots of times have to develop thick skin. nanti dah biasa. agree with mamaliz, sometime people dunno wat else to ask/say except those std questions.

flames nanti warm up insya Allah. first few mths kena layan babe dulu hehe ;) later get less demanding. having baby pun build a new kind of partnership/bonding experience. maturing too.

for me,it helps that i train my baby sleep at 8-9pm gitu ard age 4-6mth so got time after that.

need some feedback abt Child Care coz need to plsn in adv and survey abit.
Anyone send ur kid to Iman Kindergarten? which centre? I have the Simei Iman in mind but the current licence is 12 mths. Read that if 6 or 12 month licence usually have some problems. The Pasir Ris Iman is 24 mths licence but out of my way. But even Simei, is quite far even tho is a slight deviation from my way to work.

Another one i have in mind is PCF in front of my home. Tat one means no travelling for Ayuni and also no need to consider buying a car.

Any advice? Put her in the PCF until 4 yr then transfer to Iman? dunno if good idea. i have a feeling if i dunt send ayuni to CC when she 18 mth, we will still be stuck i n chai chee. feeling the cram abit. hehe..
Also, how in adv to be on waiting list? need to be kiasu just in case?

So far when she was a baby and esp aft i shaved her head, ppl did question but not for long..Tak kisah pun apa org think.. malas nk layan!

time with hubby:
i hv no prob with that so far cos my hb pun understand but we still do go out as a couple esp since my mum in law is very kind to babysit them. In that sense I really appreciate her cos that way I can also hv 'me' time too.

child care:
I realise that some need to register in advance. I like Carpe Diem for their programmes but must see the branch. Cost is not bad but hv to pay extra for enrichment.They believe in multiple intelligence. At the moment, I'm putting farah 3x a wk in Cherie Hearts in the afternoons cos they include enrichment activities like kindermusik, Acts of Life and Japanese class. I have surveyed many centres! Some others I also like is Lorna Whiston (far and no vacancy til 2010), Agape @ one-north (got pool play and gym play). Sasha mentioned Mindchamps but v ex ($1080) and only in HDB hub.
After what my colleague went through with Hijrah, we kinda became biased with such organisations but i hv to say that PPIS bt batok and Iyad are v good and the latter has a long waitlist!
You must consider the fees and whether u want half day or full day child care. FTWM will hv subsidy by MCYS - $150 for full day cc and $75 for half day cc.

My 2 cents worth..

There's another Iman at Eunosville and Jalan Tenaga. I've seen the Eunosville one -air cond, quite friendly env. But Amaar naps in the afternoon from 1-2 and their classes start from 12 plus. I'm putting him in Muhammadiyah Kindergarten now at Jalan Lapang (near the Mydin Mosque). The env is nice and the teachers are really patient with him but all his classmates speak Malay (he speak a little bit only)so he can't really communicate with them. I'm thinking of going switching to PCF/ Sparkletots or Cherie Hearts - still considering. There's also another one called Yasmine@Frankel ELC, near Siglap Plains. Which PCF you considering?

Anyone consider the Rightstart programme by TumbleTots (location and Tampines Indoor Stadium for east ppl)? For daily 2 hrs classes for kids born in 2006 (classes commencing in Jan 2009) ade bus service sekali.

But I was thinking nak ke my boy naik school bus. Other than that its inconvenient for my mom to send him bec she sakit kaki.

me plan to put boy in 'secular' school for playgroup and nursery. For k1 and k2 will go to iman at tampines. see how it goes. Currently he is attending weekly session for 2-3yo at tumbletots.

i send farah to cherie hearts myself. Whn i start work, i'll rush during lunch break to send her. No transport in the aftn unless i send her full day.
Before going for trial, I called the branch manager to arrange for an orientation of the centre which was last 2 weeks. In the end the teacher let us join in the playgroup class for 1 whole session to see how she gets along with the teachers and other kids. She enjoyed herself.
Last week, I stayed at the centre but did not follow her to class. Could hear her crying in class upstairs. Subsequent 2 days I sent her and left to the care of the teachers. My heart pains to see her cry but it's all part of separation anxiety. She cries on and off now but when it comes to enrichment classes she would respond and participate actively.
Brought her to trial gymboree class and she loves it. Nt sure if wanna enrol her for class or just let her play in the gym.

Yup aware of Iman eunosville n Jalan Tenaga. I work at Changi area so its total opposite where i head everyday. At least Simei is somewhere along the way. What kind of nursery is the Yasmine@Frankel ELC? its one of the nursery when i search for those with 12 mth licences. The PCF i considering is the
FENGSHAN SPARKLETOTS INFANT AND CHILD CARE CENTRE 184, BEDOK NORTH ROAD (in front of my home) and
SPARKLETOTS CHILD CARE CENTRE (FENGSHAN) 76, BEDOK NORTH ROAD (2 blks behind my home). Haven't gone for any viewing or apptment yet though.

2 weeks orientation is quite long. u mean for both u n your child? always hear abt 1 day trial. The PCF i considering put up a notice on entrance asking interest parents to make apptment on mon-fri during lunchtime to view. Seems like they only entertain us during the hr.
I definately gonna put her Full Day. If half day, need to arrange to someone to fetch and care for her the other half day n the cost is almost the same as Full Day. I find it more troublesome so rather have her stay put in Full Day. As for fees, standard fees for Full Day CC are $550. even with subsidy, its $300plus to $400. I looking for something is tat good enuff but wont go all the way to spend time travelling n extra money for fees to put her in the preceived good CC just becoz of method they use n how they 'advertised' the CC.

I still havent think about the separation anxiety part. Surely she will be scared in a new environment. Can be quite noisy too coz on saturday mornings we can hear them from upstairs n Ayuni is the first one to notice.

WHich Cherie Hearts is Farah attending? My workplace got some coporate discount but the discount not very significant i think. Need to check again. Either $50/mth or 10% off whole year fees or somthing like dat. But the only ones near my place is either Limau Garden or the Lorong Melayu one. U ever check out the Limau Garden one?
