Welcome to the club.
Hehehe.... If u hv the habit of monitoring yr cycle, then u can start anytime now. If u hv not been doing so, then start from yr next menses and yes at least 3 mths so that u will roughly know yr No. of CD.
Don't need to monitor every day. When u buy the kit, there is instruction to guide u. But first of all, u must know your no. of CD in order to detect accurately without wasting the kit. The O kit I used is pretty expensive. The brand is clearplan. It is similar like using pregnancy kit whereby u dip the kit with urine and wait for few minutes. (I bid from yahoo auction which sells cheaper). Of course u can use those cheaper strips but I don't feel secure using those because dunno accurate or not mah...hehehe.... I rather invest in good ones.
U can oso use the below ovulation calendar for guidance.

I used both for guidance. First of all I use the ovulation calendar to determine my fertile day. Then I buy the O kit to test my LH surge nearing my fertile day to "catch" my fertile day to take action.

That is good enough. U go n jot down all the 1st day u hv recorded. Then go calculate the no. of cycle. Remember CD1 of this month till the next CD1 of the next month = yr Cycle Day.
For eg. CD1 falls on 1 July, then next CD1 falls on 1 Aug. Your cycle day will be calculated from 1 July till 31 July. That means 31 days cycle.
Yes the O kit is use for 1 time. Clearplan has 5 stick so can use only 5 times. So u hv to calculate properly so that not a single stick will go wasted.

Was down and out since Thurs.. BZ interviewing babysitters. Still cant find a suitable one, tho'. Same time running a fever, cough and flu but cant rest well cos BB also sick and cranky the whole time.

Charges are normal GP charges. Jasmine is a GP not a PD but she has a scanner in her clinic now and MTB can see her for antenatal! ^^
Normally, for myself, the bill is around S$30.. depending on the medication.
For the kids, its abt S$20 - 30... Din reallie take note of bill.

If ur kid has productive cough (flam: erm dunno correct spelling ant). Can buy "Nan Bei Xing" (North, South Almond Flakes). Pound them up and just boil in water. Dont add sugar or anything else. Drink as per water or use it for making milk. This will clear the flam and ur child will have loose, foamy! stools for 1 or 2 time (kinda like diarrhea) It works on my 2 rascals.

There are also the crazy moments. When sibling rivalry is raging or when they fight over the smallest things but the good overrides the bad.
Financially, we are not exactly READY but we are mentally ready to take on the additional cost that comes along with the extra mouth. It helps that both u and ur hubby has the same mindset. Gotta cut down on the meals at restaurant, gg to cinema, monthly shopping etc.... But the JOY of having another baby in the family makes up for everything. ^^
I am lucky to have good maid and a good mum. They both help to lessen my load and my maid is a ASSET since I work FT. Can't imagine life without either of them. ^^

How's your weekend? I just had a horrible one. Ariel keep wanting me to carry her during her nap and her nap is for 2 hrs each. My arms almost broke and i feel like just dumping her somewhere. If I put her down she will scream & scream. sigh!!

Just an update. I've popped! Was scheduled for c-sect on 28 Aug, but water bag broke on 26 Aug so had emer c-sect with GA instead. Ge-ge Jun Er was born at 8:21am & mei-mei Hui Shan 2 mins later. Jun Er was only 2.09kg & Hui Shan 2.34kg. They are not latching, so I've taken to expressing & supplementing with FM. At least this way I can know how much they are getting as I need to get their weight up.
I have a CL to help out for this month & she's very good - can cook & look after the babies single-handedly. Luckily the babies are feeding consecutively & not at the same time. Gives me a lot of time to rest & hopefully my BM will increase soon. Now can only pump 30-50ml a session.

Just an update. I've popped! Was scheduled for c-sect on 28 Aug, but water bag broke on 26 Aug so had emer c-sect with GA instead. Ge-ge Jun Er was born at 8:21am & mei-mei Hui Shan 2 mins later. Jun Er was only 2.09kg & Hui Shan 2.34kg. They are not latching, so I've taken to expressing & supplementing with FM. At least this way I can know how much they are getting as I need to get their weight up.
I have a CL to help out for this month & she's very good - can cook & look after the babies single-handedly. Luckily the babies are feeding consecutively & not at the same time. Gives me a lot of time to rest & hopefully my BM will increase soon. Now can only pump 30-50ml a session.

Luteal Phase is Day Past Ovulation. That means the number of day starting from your Ovulation Day till yr mense arrive. Frankly I dun usually measure my Luteal Phase. I just leave it at 14 days.
Ovulation kit is use to test your LH surge to determine whether u r gg to ovulate soon or not.

U can use to check. There are cheaper type where it comes in paper strips type. But it only tells u whether u r ovulating or not.
If u want precise check, it is best to consult a gynae to perform an ultrascan on your womb to check whether your eggs are normal.

For a normal couple, a woman should become pregnant within one year of trying. If beyond that, it is advisable to seek professional help.
Actually I was told that I had PCOS too before I had my girl. I don't even know it at all because my menses came every month but the flow only last 2-3 days at the most. So I thought I was normal since I menstruate every mth. Anyway we were not TTCing at the time too.
Its by chance that I went to see Chinese Physician then I came to know abt it. Thk most of u should have heard of the famous chinese physician at Jurong East?? I went to merely wanted to check on my general health. Also she said my hb had varicocele. She said we are a odd couple which both of us also had reproductive problem....kaoz...
Then I went to seek professional advise and was told I had PCOS as well as fibroids. Also we did a SM test (Semen-Mucous) and my mucous kills 70% of my hb Semens which chance of pregnancy is very slim. The gynae also confirm that my hb had varicocele. He recommended us to go for surgery but both of us decline.
We took some supplement and did not had any precaution thinking we are not so lucky to strike since both of us had problem... BUT after consuming for 2 mths, I was preggy with my girl which caught us in surprice.
Then before planning for our boy, we went back to the Chinese Physician again to check whether I had problem and she said I am healthy and my ovaries are active..... True enough, I was pregnant as planned.
In fact we were quite skeptical with the result of the supplement we were taking and hence did not had any precaution against pregnancy as we are not TTCing then. My hb still consuming the supplement and I had become lazy and stop liao....hehehehe... I am consuming other products and some slimming tea.... Until I finish all these stuff then I will take the supplement for maintenance.

We don't intend to sell our unit because we plan to clear the housing loan asap. Selling and buying again will end up re-financing again leh... I dun want to work till 70 years old to clear all the loan!! hehehe

oh... I went for post natal scan but gynae only say uterus back to normal. Never mention Ovaries leh... sigh! I also got problem getting pregnant as I got irregular menses before and Docs said I am not ovulating...so actually very luckily to get my girl.
