Accuracy of edd

Does anyone know if edd will be normally exact or would it be earlier or later as i m lookin out to engage a confinement nanny?

this is ESTIMATION date, so you can give birth any time around this date. I heard that only 5% of birth happen exactly on EDD. Unless you have a planned C-section which can be scheduled exactly on that date (providing no other complications occur along the way).

I think at max 1/3 is sui sui on the EDD date. Most will either fall before or after the EDD by 1-2 weeks. (More common is earlier by 1-2 weeks of EDD, especially those going for elective C Section)

Fm e edd date given it will be 2 weeks before or 2 weeks afta..so it depends..

usually 2 weeks beforehand but it reaslly depends...
usually gynae will not recommend beyond 40th weeks esp if your baby is big size or of healthy weight already else the labour will be long and painful if the baby is too big

stated down ur first n last day of menses... so e edd will b accurate...
