2WW - for those TTC-ing


Gals, how is your period flow like? Do you see yourself having lighter flows as you grow older? I don't know why but my flow has been v light of late.

my period is always lighter and shorter than other ladies...
my friends always mention how HEAVY they flow is, I never experience that except those months that i took TCM

No la, if u go poly to take referral is much cheaper at govt hospitals. Without referral is 1k plus

first time i told them i try TTC for a year but still no baby. then doc will advise you the procedure, and what to start first...
first consultation + ultrasound scanning - $280
blood test + clomid - $125

this is the gynae recommend by my colleague (her gynae more than 10yrs ago)..according to her, the price is still same when she visited her more than 10yrs ago...

actually i compare the charges with hamburger..she visited KK, not sure whether gt referral or not though...

oh ok thanks. may i know which gynae is this? I have tried for 5 months. Is it too kaisu to go for tests now?

i think can just go lo.. for me, i'm not in hurry to have baby so I try TTC for a year first...
normally if u wait for 6months, still cannot, can see doc le...

mine is at bukit batok - women's specialist. i seeing Dr Selina Chua, she also at Mount E.

I don't have referral letter. Ya.. First time cost me $400+, then i just went for the cd28 blood test on mon, $40 after gst.

I remember asking the counter can pay via medisave anot, she says cannot.

Now into 40s, my AF is 2.5days only. Excluding spotting. When 20s, my flow was at least 4-5 days. It will gradually dip. I think it's normal. Aging does wonder.

But best to ask your doc if you're concerned.

Yes... at my 'peak ' my flow is 6 days at least. Now 3-4 days then barely any blood left. I do notice after given birth the menses is lighter also. Lost too much blood at birth lol
 
I have this habit of putting aside my pads once cd1 starts. Last time need a lot. Now huh, halved!

After popping AF will lighten ah?

i havent reach 40s, my AF is arnd 3days excluding spotting... lol
include spotting maybe arnd 5 to 6 days only
 
My tcm says AF 4-5 days best. Too short or too long not good. Similarly cycles too long or too short also not good. Being woman is not easy! Hehe...
 
My last sinseh says too many days of spotting pre af is also no good. I'm one of them. Worst case is 4-5days spotting prior to full flow. He says my Qi is weak.
 
hihi, ladies. Congrats to those who striked! I havent login for a long long time cos it's super busy at work and I wanted to relax my mind away from tccing. Ask you all ah, does ovulation varies every cycle? Cos this time after I tried taking ba zhen, O came so much earlier than my previous cycles which it didnt happen before when I monitored for the past 1 year.
 
Yes ovulation day may change on some cycles for some ladies. Mine is pretty regular until post-ivf. Also experienced that on some cycles when i was on acupuncture. Came earlier on some months. Nothing to worry about, if you are.

Your ovulation came earlier also means your cycle will be shorter this time since LP is about the same for all cycles.
 
I used to have q heavy flow and five days period. Now it's only three or less. And I can't even soak up one pad for each day so depressing. How come my body become haywire the moment I wanna ttc. This problem only started few months ago. Tcm says I not enough blood so I take iron pills but like no improvement

How old are you may I know? You might have mentioned here but I forgot. Age does play a part on this.

I shall ask my new sinseh if short af means infertility issue. My first 1.5days are still very heavy. Just that after that it gets medium to light.

Hi. My last sinseh is not a fertility doc but that's what he said. I'm switching to TSB too and seeing her on end March. Maybe you're seeing her before me so you ask and share here?;)

I'm doing yoga regularly at home. I did join classes but somehow can't keep up the frequency because I find it a chore traveling to the classes. So now I do at home 3x a week at least.

Hi redvel, do you follow any website for the yoga stunts or music? I did hot yoga many years ago but I didnt continue after that. Was thinking of going for CC classes.

i asked TSB about my menses cycle before,. she say is normal

after taking TCM, my spotting (add before menses and after menses) 7days, she say this is too long.. but never explain good or bad.. she just asked me take her TCM on CD5 regardless gt spotting or not.
 
I do like CC classes last time because it was near my place and no gimmick. I like it when I could just walk to a class, rather than to drive to somewhere and park. Hahah ok excuses. But I really prefer the comfort of my home to do yoga. But of course being at home means can’t have hot yoga.

I’m at advanced level but these are some fundamental ones which you can do at home regularly (so long you already have the basic practice on yoga before). These give good stretches and improve your overall strength. I also do a short meditation before I start the physical yoga.

Basic Sun salutation:
Good for strengthening.
Fertility poses if you wanna try.

Musics i use:
There are certainly many helpful videos out there. Can google for those that suit your level.
 
Period came. Need to make appt for hsg test liao... Can i asked how's the pain like? Will it be ok if i go alone? My hubby is unable to take leave....

Veromon is soooooo young.

Hamburger, different people are going to share their different experiences on Hsg. Mine is on the extreme end where my pain was excruciating I wanted to cry. My hubby couldn't be with me so my sis accompanied me. She herself has experienced super pain from the procedure too that was why she wanted to be there with me just in case it would be the same for me. I didn't believe it would be that bad and I was wrong. I was so glad I came out of the procedure seeing her as I hugged her to get some comfort.

You may be lucky like most other ladies.

Chloe_ng, oh you are in zumba? Seems like my frens around are all zumba fans!! I am so tempted to try hehe....

Oh redvel, that sounds like a painful experience.. Sigh.. Why is it so hard to get pregnant?? I feel that there is nothing i can do to expedite this ttc journey.. Married for 2 yrs liao.. I am suddenly very fearful of this coming cny! Expecting lots of qns on this!
