2WW - for those TTC-ing

Hi all,

I'm a guy, and not sure if I'm the only guy here. I would like to check does the 2ww means 2 weeks after period due or 2 weeks after O? thks.

Thank you lemon tart. Actually for my case, we are not trying for baby yet. My partner and I are engaged, and planning to wed early next yr. However, she just missed her P for a week already. We just did a blood test yesterday and turned out negative. We are just extremely worried coz we dont wanna shotgun as our families are both quite traditional. We just wanna find out if the blood test is conclusive enough. At least if that's gonna happen we have some reaction time.

blood test shd be more than conclusive. think ur fiancé is too stress with the wedding planning. her period will be here any time soon. sometimes can delay up to 2 weeks when stressed
 
Yes, she say she is abit stressed esp recently we are going around for our wedding prep and she has been exercising more lately. But usually she is quite on the dot. We don't want it to happen so fast as our families are rather traditional. And I will not know how I can face her mum if that happen, so we are kinda stressed. The test we did yesterday is close to 1 week after her P due.

don't worry, if blood test is negative it is usually is. so for now u just don't "touch" her loh if not u stress also hehe

In fact we both wanna get married and start a family. However as someone from my side just passed on last dec, we gotta wait one year. We are just praying her P will come soon.

I also think that if her period is one week overdue and the blood test still shows negative, it should be negative.. Probably too stress :) bring her out for more dates to relax more ;)

Just to confirm, so if blood test done like almost 1 week after her P due is conclusive enough? Don't wanna have a case where the blood test show negative then end up positive. We will not know what to do man.

its is conclusive enough if u didn't get intimate with her further before her period starts. in the event if her ovulation is late and u and her still did it, then diff to tell. so i suggest wait till her period arrive.

there are many scenarios, for now just don't touch her.
if u got intimate with her anytime 2 weeks before her original period, u will still stand a chance. unless the last time u did it was 2 weeks before her period was due and thats the last. then by right 1 week late it is conclusive
 
Joewong: hopeful mum is right. to allay your fears, you may want to backtrack and count the days when u guys BD and see if it is within the danger zone. There are some days that are virtually impossible to get pregnant, e.g. few days before and after her period.
 
ya but just worried she ovulated late, and u all did it when she ovulated late then blood test won't be able to pick out so soon. but i think looking at this it shd be a false alarm. lol ya if u can give us dates we can help u guess with our "expertise" :)

hmm well basically 1 mar shd be the day that she is fertile. but since her period is late means u didn't strike. then again we can't guess when she ovulated. and if its 16 mar, tmr is just 24 mar. lets hope she did ovulate on time and she is just late. if by end of 28th march her period still not here then do a test again if still negative she is just very late.. but for now no more sex.

I would rule out 20 Feb and 16 March. 1 March got chance. her period supposed to come by 16 march..that's why you guys are panicking right?
 
if u used on 1 march..it should be ok! 1 March is around the middle of the cycle..around O time..so if u used protection it should be ok.

Haha lemon tart, I know is ironic. But can't really find another forum suitable to discuss such matters. Me and my fiancé also want to have kids one day. But for now is just not the time yet..

Last qn. If 1 Mar is the danger zone, and * touchwood anything happen, the blood test yesterday should have picked up right?
 
joe wong: yes I think the blood test should have picked it up. so.many days le. I assume u guys also used a pregnancy test kit and it showed negative?

HPT is quite zhun de. unless u tested too early. but from 1 March to now, definitely not too late. so to conclude: your fiancee is not pregnant. trust the blood test and HPT!

sloshysoupy: your comment made me smile so wide! honestly I wished I didn't have answers to Joe wong's questions cos that would mean I am clueless about all these pregnancy things. just the way I was all my life until this Jan. I picked up a lot from this forum and reading online. still half wishing I can find myself pregnant without all these charting and bbt taking.
