Ohh.. I guess the med is based on individual condition? This cycle 2 doses for me, 2 doses for hubby.. Last time only once got 3 doses each, abt $110..
 


By doses means only one time per dose or its by week ? Hmmm hb wldnt agree to see

The TCM i seeing is from 同濟醫院， infertilty section. Med + consultation is $35 per week. Quite ex, right?

Min81: So do you need to 煎药? 1 cycle is for a week? What is the consultation hrs for Dr. Chan on weekdays and weekends?

So your current tcm is abt $140/mth? It's abt the same as what una and kitkat are paying so i think not too exp.. 1 cycle means the whole cycle from day 1 of menses to end of 2ww.. I bought the electric ceramic pot from him.. Just throw everything in, add water, turn on and it'll beep when done.. Very convenient, no need to watch it.. It's also a double boiler, which i use to cook the chix essence.. I think consultation is 8.30-3pm from wed to sun.. If u going on wkend mornings, i suggest reaching by 7.30 am.. There are chairs outside the shop for pple to sit in the queue..
 
min81: Thnx. I stay in north, think really too far and out of the place for me to visit Dr. Chan. I will stick to my TCM for now coz only c her for ~5mths. Maybe take time to c e effects. :p
 
kitkat, at glenE, confirm not that cheap for consult ! ive seen that gynae in person before for work related issues .. hes quite good looking !!! the photo doesnt do him justice .. he has a boyish look in person ... hehehe .. dont think i can open my legs if i see him ... =X
 
Feel so down today... how come some pp juz get preggy so easily?! And the most irritating part is they dun really like kids... y is God doing this to me?! And my hubby not 2 keen oso... somemore my last af was only 1 day followed by spotting n this mth cant detect +ve opk... is this destined? !

Ya distance is an issue.. Actually i wanted to see dr su in bukit batok initially but gave up in the end cos i stay way in the east.. You're right, tcm takes more time to tiao our body more gently then western med, have faith and gd luck!

Min81 & una, dr chan will normally gives me 2 packets of med before o & 2 after o. Recently he added bai Feng wan to add after o which costs $30. He gives dh 3 packets of med during my fertile period. All hav to brew.

Wimt, I suggest u stick to your tcm first. He / she is more familiar with your body conditions.

Ladies: Ever heard a woman is considered "dirty" during the period, ~40 days after she just delivery? If u visit her during this period, u r banned from visiting temple and praying to god? My sis gg to deliver in Feb and I wanted to visit her and carry my new born niece and if it true, I will be banned from praying 拜太岁

Old wives tales have it that if you carry a new born baby, u may get the 喜气n boost your chances.
 
Wimt: heard tt 拜太岁 can be done on behalf.. So maybe can get your Mum or hb etc to hlp pray on ur behalf? Then ya can visit ur sis and carry your niece?
 
Ladies, wanna ask about the CB Digital OPK... can we buy the refill after consuming the test strips? Or to buy a new set together with the test holder? I search but don't see any refills for sales.

Are you talking about the CB fertility monitor? Only need to buy the test sticks when u finish, don't buy the monitor again.. You can get it at guardian/watsons, etc but very exp.. Most of us buy online.. You can check out

Hi ladies,

I'm currently 16dpo, tested just now with a cheap opk strip.. There's a faint line beside control line.. Does it mean anything? Cos if it's not, then i won't waste my clearblue hpt.. TIA!!
 
min81>> You tested using OPK? For OPK, faint line still means -ve. In order for OPK to detect +ve pregnancy, test line must be as dark or darker than control line.

I usually go on weekdays, been quite fortunate in tt i usually will start queuing from the second row of the chairs when i arrive ard 9-10am. the last time i went, they were turning away people who arrived after 1+ not sure if its a 1 off thing or tt they start having shorter consultation hours alr.
 
min81>> If you wanna save costs, you can try testing again tmr morning using the cheapo strip OPK. If the test line gets darker, then it may be possible that you're pregnany. But you should definitely confirm the findings using a HPT. Actually, you're already 16DPO. Most likely a HPT test will show +ve if you're preggies. You don;t have the cheapo strip HPT to test out?

No symptoms, that's why not very hopeful.. But nothing to be done at this point too.. Trying to stay positive.. Actually hubby doesn't want me to test.. He remembers i was also a few days late on my 1st mth of tcm last yr too..

Same here.. I try to go on wkday mornings.. Last mth i went at 8 am and was 2nd in line..

kitkat, it's a simple plan on when to BD (day by day of the cycle) for those who have successfully gotten pregnant before, it maximises the chance of fertilizing the egg. Seems like success rates is about 40%. More info here:

-"Try" every other night starting Day 8
-Buy 10 ovulation predictor kit sticks
-Begin ovulation testing on Day 10
-When test is positive, "try" that night, plus two additional nights in a row
-Skip one night, then do one last "try"
-Take a home pregnancy test 15 days after your ovulation test was positive, if your period has not begun
-If your ovulation test never goes positive, continue "trying" every other night until Day 35, then do a pregnancy test if your period has not begun.

Statistics coming in from women who write me show that about 40% of post-miscarriage women will get pregnant on the first try if they are faithful to the plan, about double the number of the normal population who are not on the plan. This assumes, of course, that you waited for a normal cycle to begin after your loss, and did not begin trying before having a period after a miscarriage. Many women do not ovulate in that first cycle.

Hubby is actually not keen on me testing.. Cos he remembers last yr, my 1st mth on tcm, af was also a few days late.. I'll just test w/o telling him.. Haha..

Sorry, not preggy, af just came so no need to test.. Am disappointed but the negative opk yesterday helped me managed my expectations.. Will try again naturally this cycle, next cycle will be ivf already.. Gd luck to all of us here

pooh85, u can use opk to test. if no dark line for few days since the first day u tested positive opk, probably ovulation already over.
I have watery cm everyday after o..
