Hi Reiko, don't give up... It's easy to feel frustrated or even upset when u see everyone getting pregnant but not u, but it's important to remember not to let the TTC process possess u, such that it determines yr happiness and sadness, you would be missing out on a lot of other joyful stuff that is in yr life, love from friends, husband and family... jus know that we are blessed, no matter whether there's a BFP this month...
We also tried for 2 yrs, as a friend of mine rightly said about TTC, every mth when u see the blood flow, our tears also flow... I find that prayers help me to keep my sanity, and I try not to let what's happening around me affect me too much. Perhaps get a hobby or something to distract yrself?

Faith & Annie, maybe u all should go see a fertility specialist. i trying for 1.5 years and my AF is super irregular. then doc found out i have PCOS.
glad we went see a gynae, at least we know where is the problem. rather than clueless of where is the issue.

to be honest I am also not completely sure abt our "issue"... maybe it's just God's timing? hehe
But just to share our story, after trying for 1.5 yrs without good news, I went to a gynae recommended by my friends, he put me thru some tests and ultrasounds to ensure I was ovulating and tubes were clear. I know there's usually a hormone test done on CD2, but I did not do that one, possibly because my cycle is very regular, the gynae sees no necessity with that step. After it was all clear on my side, the hub went to do a SA at CARE and the result was he was suffering from severe teratozoospermia, morphology was between 2-4%, doctor prescribed him with supplements and vitamins and he took them for 3-4 more mths before going for another test.
The second test he went for, the results were better. For those familiar with sperm tests, I think there's 2 morphology standards, one of which is more stringent and one of which is less, I suspect that the second one is less stringent and the results came back that his sperm was normal. We tried IUI during September but not successful and decided to go to TCM Dr. Chan as he was near our place and supposedly well-known for male fertility issues.
Of course during all this time, we prayed very hard as we are Christians, and believe that we can do all the work, but life is an amazing gift that God gives according to His timing, as His plan for us is the best, no matter what other people say about our age, and warnings/advice given by friends out of goodwill unfortunately really cause nothing but fear and worry, especially cos I am reaching 35 next yr and hubby is 40 this yr.
So back to TCM, Dr Tan looked at our test results, and concluded becos I have a tipped uterus, volume of semen is very important, and he also give advice for me to lie in bed for at least 30-60 mins after BD. Previously I usually get up, pee and cleanup after the act because I am prone to getting UTI.
So I guess it's many factors but the most important is, even if nothing is going well, a positive outlook is very important otherwise, it's so hard for us to get past day by day...

Hi TTC-ing... hahaha my first test was clearblue! but done 1 day after AF's eta.
Test nr. 2 and 3 was the Guardian housebrand, 2 was BFN and 3 was invalid, not even a single line! haha
I was quite convinced I was not pregnant cos I had minimal symptoms thinking it might be the TCM that's causing the delay... But thought, Ok I will test with Clearblue one more time this morning just before i go see the TCM doctor again today.
I think maybe it's jus HCG level not high enough then?

Hi guys! Am new to the thread... I am also currently in my 2ww. If this month fail again, I will be gg for IVF in Jan. I am really praying hard. My DH has only 14million sperms and morphology is like only 1%. I had my OPK positive on the 24th Nov with clear blue kit and continues to be positive for like 3 days. We already BD like almost everyday thou its really tiring and stressing for both of us. Really hope this time we can make it. I am currently taking TCM from Ying Chuan @ Jurong East. Her meds actually helps to regulate me cycles.
It's going to be a long 14days wait......

Congrats jo78!!! Grabbing some babydust too~ ur symptoms same as my first pregnancy.. Tested all BFN at Hm with those cheaper kits and went to see GP to test too.. But my gut feel tell me tt I'm pregnant so went to kkh to do blood test and I got a final BFP!!! My daughter is coming 2.5yrs old le.. Im also trying very hard for my #2 since early 2011 til now.. Wish u best health and a sticky bean for next 9mths! Enjoy your pregnancy!!! Hopefully we all can join u soon! Lets all JIA you ladies here!

Hazel and Joce... are your husbands seeking treatments? Hazel, I went to see Ying Chuan once, but when she referred us to Christopher Chen and instructed us specifically to bring her scribbly paper to him, we were not so comfortable with her, so decided to seek someone else.
Very comfy with Dr Tan Kian Sing at Clementi, he's a jovial man and tells us our issues without making us feel hopeless about the situation, even hubby felt very comfy with him... Hope you don't mind, just sharing my experience...

Reiko, I think the longest I've ever experienced was about 45 min after my appt time, I never got a slot in the evenings which are the super popular timing, I think accessibility is a huge factor (i.e. the location should be convenient for you), otherwise it just makes the visits even more stressful than they already r.
Feel free to call the clinic and find out more? 6872 3237. If you have never been there before, the staff will recommend you see Dr Tan during a weekday afternoon/morning, which means you would need to take time off work.

Jackzel, I see... well it's good that at least she saw your issues. But perhaps other doctors can help you with it too? I think some ladies do still feel comfy with Ying Chuan and I have personally heard testimonies abt success cases with her (from my mum's friends, not in this forum), so it's not that she is bad or anything...

Joce, has he been forced to take icky strong chinese herbs before?
Guys probably find it hard to accept they are the one with the "problem", so icky herbs give them an excuse to not face the "problem" but actually these are rather common conditions that many men suffer from but still manage to conceive. My hb underwent weekly acupuncture treatments and the chinese meds prescribed were in the form of pills and capsules, much easier than the chinese meds I have to take! I actually grumbled to my hb last night, asking if we can switch, I wanna take his meds, and he can take my yucky powders hahaha...
Dr Tan has many male patients, all of whom are going regularly for acupuncture to improve their fertility, if he can go there at least once, he might realise he is not alone and will feel less taboo about visiting a doctor
Perhaps strike a deal with him, see the doc for 3 mths, if no improvement, u won't force him to go anymore? Men are like boys, need to motivate them one... hahaha
Sidenote: my hb's BD performance also improved after the supplements and acupuncture... good incentive to "lure" him to TCM? haha

It's a must for Dr Tan, he says BBT is very important for TCM. So even now, his meds is targeted at keeping my BBT high-ish.
It's also the first time I start using OPK, turns out FF and all my apps did not predict my O-date correctly, mine happens a little earlier than predicted!

Hey reikohopes, my period was heavy for first two days den lessen. TCM said after taking his medicine is normal. So dun worry. If not u can voice out yur concerns to TCM.

My friend went for her 2nd scan of follicle at cd10.
The doc say he is gonna abandon this cycle cuz not much growth on the follicle.
But it's only cd10. Why is the doc abdondoning the cycle so fast? Does it make sense?
The follicle maybe grow minimum, like 1-3mm like but isn't it too early to say he is going to abondon the cycle?
Btw, she said she took clomid 100mg.
Is it the growth of the follicle is not up to the Gyanes expectation then he wanna abondon?
Theres nothing they can do abt it meg? Rather den say to abondon this cycle? I listen already also feel so discouraging lo.. Not to mention she herself..

I got 25 strips of One Step Ovulation Test Urine Test Strip which I bought from http://babydustshop.blogspot.sg. Is brand new. I did not use them at all. I am letting them go now at $0.50 each. If you wish to get all of them, I willing to sell it at $10. Free normal postage. If you wish to have registered mail, you will have to bare the additional charges.
The expiry date for these strips is either 09/2013 or 11/2013. Sensitivity is 20miu/ml.

Strawberries, its possible. Cos if the follicle is measured at below 17 or so, it will not grow to the size of a matured follicle by CD12/14. Which means clomid didn't work for her. Also, if she's PCOS, gynae will not try to stimulate with jab as will overstimulate causing too many eggs at a time.

No problem conceiving? Hmmm, I'm not so sure about that. Although I conceived my #1 and #2 pretty quickly, I'm still worried for #3. My cycles are quite long (due to PCOS) and my O date is quite unpredictable. Last cycle, I Oed very late, which I read online is not conducive for implantation. This cycle even worse -- no +ve OPK at all! But then again, I dunnoe issit cos I tested with first morning urine. I'm using the Clearblue smiley face type of OPK and the instructions said that it's ok to test using FMU. But I read on internet that for OPK, we should test around 2pm? *Confused*
I'm hoping to strike #3 asap. Cos I have a medical condition which requires long-term medication. Although my specialist said the medication is safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding, my gynae prefers me not to take it cos it's a Category C drug. I also dun want the medication to affect the pregancy / baby in any way, so I'm going cold turkey now. So hopefully I can conceive #3 soon, then I can start medical treatment.
