I agree. Forums are here for parents to share and support one another. Nobody should ever put another parent down and make him or her feel bad or guilty.

FM is also food. Some people give FM by choice. There is nothing wrong with that too!

Sometimes breastfeeding can do more harm than good when mummy gets overly stressed up over the supply. Some can persevere but some mummies just have to give up for the sake of her sanity. Babyhood is so short. Just do what's best for both mummy and baby. Enjoy the bond.

Yup. She is having her maths and english holistic assessment. Graded story retelling. Chinese listening comprehension was last week! Still have spelling and tingxie!! Then school holiday coming soon! Yay!!

All these are pretty foreign to me. During our time primary school was much more enjoyable..

I partially confirm my baby gender at wk 14 and confirm + chop during my early scan at 18 weeks.
Don't think need wait till 20 week if baby is cooperative.
I always talk to her and tell her that we are scanning today haha
 
my scan last wk ..dr didnt seem sure. dont have the 3 clear lines (for girl) nor the protruding "banana" (boy) . so dr guess is girl.

I agree also. this is my #1, I also dunno I will have enough supply anot.. my sis also shared with me, those breastfeeding forum really very competitive, take pic of their milk storage, condemn FM. wah very stress..
I rather not join.. luckily I got my sis to share me with her tips

my friend shared her supply on FB ok... one full load of BM in mini freezer ( full capacity pacakge)and she still complain not enuff :s anyway i normally ignore cos she like to tell the world how blissful / fortunate she is etc :D

Ya! I drank FM till i was 12 years old. Hahaha..

My #1 was on FM and my #2 was breastfed. To be honest I really don't feel a vast difference between them. That's for my case..

In the past I joined to seek immediate help when i had plugged ducts or milk blisters. But come to think of it, i rather go to kellymom website now. Much more informative! So now i didn't join any. They are too hardcore!!

i cant tell the diff too lolz but of coruse those 100% BF for all kids will tell you big diff...u saw the article on bf i post earlier this morning ...
 
i drink FM till i was 2+ ? hahaha. i was my mum #1, she dunno how to express the milk, then engorgement very painful, ask doc for med then wala~~ no more milk hahahaa

i think u are better off not reading those FM-bashing threads. I think FM will be my savior at night cos...I plan to feed FM at night so I can sleep siah

some pp just love praising or the number of likes on their post. :)

My sis supply also quite a lot, i call her dairy cow, very bad i know hahaha. Good thing is! if i don't have bm, i can borrow hers to give my baby first haha
She pumps and don't really latch coz she wanna monitor intake plus we can help her feed baby. i love feed her baby but she drink very slow and love to watch tv... haha

I saw! Haha.. I believe there are benefits when we breastfeed. And the said benefits help motivate us when the going gets tough. But giving FM does not mean that there is no benefit. There are always pros and cons to everything. It's purely a personal choice.

To be honest it can be really tough for working mummies to continue pumping when they return to work. Some have the privilege of their own rooms, meeting rooms or nursing rooms nearby still ok. But minority has to pump in toilets and eat at the same time to make full use of lunch hour. Very ke lian leh! Really kudos to those mummies. That's why the article says many do not breastfeed after 6 months.

^5 me too ... not that i wan to sleep mroe lah but baby can sleep better cos dun get hungry easily and i can free the time to pump

my boy dun like to latch too he will fall alseep lolz so the only way is feed bm via bottle ..to monitor how much he drink

yah lor i have to express in toilet during lunch hr .. bo pian that is why i can only do it for 6 months only cos the more i think about it the more unhygienic i feel lolz
but now my company got nursing room but seem like hot cake

i wonder if it is possible to pump like mad ++++++ during the 4mth ML to freeze, then when i go back to work i gradually taper down the pumping , that way i can also feed BM for 6 mths

u freeze already so must see if ur baby like ur thaw milk.. My sis also very hardworking, freeze quite a few bags, then ended up her dotter don't like. ahaa all go into milk bath.... she say once u thaw, sometimes will have a very strong "rust" smell.
But it also depend on individual and whether your baby can accept.

yes it is true got that metalic taste/smell some baby will resist
 
Just came back from inspection. Wah, walked for only 45minutes but sweat so much. Luckily, 2nd tri I have more energy. 1st tri, I just stay in office do paperwork. Just do minimal inspection. :p

I juz signed another 10 classes with my current studio so I will finish these 10 classes first before signing up at Ziva.

It also depends on your supply right... If say your baby empties you for each feed then you won't have any additional to pump out for storing bah...

But I also first timer, not very sure, maybe the experienced mummies can confirm if you can pump excess out to store, or whether the bb will empty out whatever bm you have produced...

sounds workable... but during those months you are giving bm, you must also let your BB try on thawed ones... some babies dont like... maybe can suggest alternate fresh bm and thaw bm alternate feeding.

if BB dun like the thaw one at first, try the second time, persist...usually they will be ok...
