Dear all beloved mummies,
I have safely given birth to a healthy baby boy on the 30th Jan 2014 at 7am. Normal vaginal birth with epi. Labour was abt 8hrs totally.

Looks like my edd 1st Jan and my precious couldn't wait to meet us...

To the other mummies, all the best and hang in there.

For a first time mummy, my every inch of pain in labour was certainly a journey to remember and more than worth it for the precious miracle we have long awaited for....

Good luck to us and no sleeping for the next 3 yrs maybe ahaha...

Have a happy new year everybody!!! :)
Congrats Missyz on your cute healthy baby!

Congrats Missyz!! Rest well and have a good confinement. :D

Couldn't sleep the whole night. Had cramps and I timed them. They were abt 8-11 minutes apart..lasting usually 1 minute plus each time. Don't think I shd head down to hospital yet? Still bearable for now. Wonder what's baby's plan!! I wonder if the VE my gynae did yesterday triggered labour. Initially I didn't want her to check too but I also wanted to know if labour was near. I think since the weight is only an estimate, you should be able to have natural delivery. Don't worry too much about that!

Thanks ciakes. :)

VE can trigger labour. Heehee.. I hope your baby arrives over the next few days. No need to induce! If the pain is bearable, can wait it out and cope with deep breathing first. But don't wait until the pain gives you difficulty to walk too! Monitor and go with your gut feeling. Jiayou!! :D

I read about inducing labour and thought of you. Here are some ways:
1. Eat hot and spicy foods.
2. Lovemaking
3. Visualising cervix opening
4. Walk a lot.
5. A medium-hot bath.
6. Release any fears you have that might cause tension that can translate into a tense cervix.
7.Acupressure
8. Acupuncture
9. Take 1/2 tbsp of castor oil every half hr for 3 doses.

30 mins to the new year! How r u mummies spending your New Year's Eve? I'm all alone at home, hubby brought the puppy to watch fireworks at Gardens By the Bay East. It's only a 10-15 mins walk from my place but I don't dare risk walking too much, since I already walked around for dinner.
