I only remember avoid vit A supplements, no alcohol, no caffeine, no raw fish, no shark fins (cos of the mercury) though. We should be taking in more iron and calcium. Not sure why dr ask u to avoid milk and yoghurt?
 
I also think milk is a good source of calcium so a bit doubtful about avoiding. In any case, I think take in moderation should be fine.
 
Hi happy, with my first pregnancy, gynae told me must drink milk for calcium, and TCM foc told me to drink warm milk. So dont think milk shld b a problem, its a main source of calcium. Maybe u wanna verify with ur gynae what he means? Maybe he is warning against milk that has gone bad? Cos preggie women got ro b careful with diet, not to run a risk of food poisoning.

Am gonna be 6 weeks tmr! So far I have sore breasts, fatigue, mood swings and hot flushes. Am experiencing some nausea this morning as well. Seeing the gynae later!
 
Hi gals! Any recommendations for gynae? My sil recommended hers Dr Tan Heng Hao from KKH. So far he's got good reviews but I don't really like the idea of delivering at KKH. A bit of a dilemma 'cos I think KKH will be the most logical choice given that in case of any complications all the specialists are there. At the same time, most of my friends have delivered in TMC/Alvernia/Gleneagles. If you have any gynaes to recommend from TMC and Alvernia do share. Thank you!

I bought those magnolia milk, warm up and take half a glass at night. I didnt use direct heating method so should be ok right?

You might want to look for reviews on gynae near to your home or workplace so more accessible?? For me i going to Dr Adrian Woodworth @ CCK Clinic and choosing TMC to deliver :)

Hi lil ger, yes just warm up like that n drink daily its ok. I warm up with pot over stove. Just dun use microwave, radiation no good.
 
Oh dear sasandy, quickly go to ur gynae n get help first. Dun panic. Early stage will go thru implantation where the fertilised egg implants onto ur womb. Some pple will experience spotting n cramping during this stage. Dun tink of other tings first, just c ur gynae n meanwhile, dun let ur mood affect u. Cos bb can sense our moods n its not good to go into a stressful mode. Talk to ur bb and ask bb to stay safe. Hope all is well, hugs.

I'm having brown discharge today much more than before too! Getting worried also... hope all is well! I've been to KKH last week due to cramping & brown discharge, doc took blood test and the HCG level is low but doubling trend tho. (went last Wed & Sat for repeat test) Today the discharge is much more than last week. Worrying for me & hubby so we going down to our gynae this evening also...
 
I'm gagging more throughout the day and have a tasteless feeling in my mouth ... Calves r tired too.. Tough to be back at work today!

How's everyone today ?

Hi ssandy, don't panic. try to stay positive. sometimes we get worried unnecessarily. do keep us posted.

Hi Everyone...

I also just tested last week that I am pregnant.

Visiting a gynae on Friday to confirm and check on EDD.

This is my 2nd child. My first one borned in Oct 2012.

I'm still very excited and very careful not to get knock.. lolx.

Made my first appt with a gynae earlier and am wondering if I should change.

Consultation was about 10 mins and she did an ultrasound and I saw the little bean and it cost me abt $230. Gave me some supplements and told me not to travel cos it's dangerous.

I had red spotting last night, not a lot but when wiped the v during peeing can see the blood. Was worried sick so rush down to kkh O&G for a checkup. They took my urine to do hcg testing n also did ultrasound scan to cfm that I'm still pregnant. Phew. Heng both my twins r developing. So they just gave me a injection at my butt to stop the bleeding n also increase my dosage of hormone pills from twice a day to three times a day. Now on 4 days mc to rest at hm.

My friend shared w me that brown discharge is old blood so don't need to worry, red is a sign of danger. The gynae yest says any sign of blood is not a good sign. So based on ur own judgement call, do go n see gynaes once u feel something is not right.

Li Ger and Sasandy - I suggest u see ur gynae ASAP abt ur discharge . Some discharge is due to implantation and old blood which is ok, rarely it is a signal of distress and some cases (together with other symptoms) may b m/c... The gynae will be able to diagnose and prescribe u medicine to help.

On hospital and gynae , I'm most probably using my gynae at Tmc fr #1. I heard good reviews of gynae's at Kkh and the facility at glenageles. I wud have opted for gleneagles but I dun think my gynae delivers there. Choose gynae first n ask them where they deliver . Try out a few gynae during the first half of first tri , packages usually start fr 2nd tri ... Just sharing my thoughts :)
 
Sasandy - that's great news! And u must take the medicine diligently and take everything easy cos Preggies tend to tense up easily and it's not gd for bb :)

I'm nervous abt this sat first gynae scan , shd b w6 d5 by then . The prev m/c was at w6-7 :-( still haunting me

You dont nervous on sat k.. u stay postive too.. begin active in this forum helps me to get lots of support n keep me calm. Hope will do e same to u too.

I like to join this thread... Initially i tot i was end sept edd, but after confirming by gynae last week, my edd is 7-Oct.

First visit to gynae last week we managed to see e sac, now into my 6wk, so expect to see hb next week... Feeling excited...

Anyone here experience bad MS like me??

Hi all 2nd time mums, my first child is born aug 2012 :) am very happy to have a dragon n horse combination hehehe.
 
I called KkH this morning to book an appt. the doc I preferred is available earliest on 7 march. By then already 8-9weeks. Do u think I should book any doc who is available much earlier or just wait? So far I don't feel any symptoms yet except for lower back ache. (*choy choy*)

Our preferred doctor was also not available earlier. We went for the general team care for the 1st appt, 2nd appt. 3rd appt then will switch to TPS.

I would advise to wait but then again, we are so anxious to see the bb (or at least the sac). So its up to you. I would see gynae cos i need to be an xin, make sure bb at the right place.

Oh boy do I feel exhausted every morning. It's like I hardly sleep at night. And they weren't kidding about the vivid dreams. I dream every single night and they range from weird to funny to ridiculous.
