Thanks Babysmurf, will learn from you and book the jabs at the polyclinic next month. I think I should get more smaller bottles too at the fair, right now only 6 gold series one. My CL discourage me from buying the smaller bottles as she said babies v quickly outgrow them. Don't know leh.

Tomorrow need to go back polyclinic for jaundice check. Each girl drinking 60ml now and I pump about 120ml (both breasts) each pump so just nice.

Ladies, do you know until what age we need to burp babies until?

Mofmm, you can buy this bra called simple wishes from mum n babes. It's a support bra for twin pumps so that you can pump both side at the same time and be hands free. Very useful I feel Hee.
 
Thanks Hope - alas I just ordered the Medela Bustier yesterday but thanks for sharing. At least I know where to go to replace it. Enjoy shopping at the fair today!

Hi Lil, if you are resting in the night (let the nursery take care instead of latching), ask for a syringe to collect the colostrum when you massage your breasts (which should be done 3 hourly) the way the lactation consultant taught you. That stuff is liquid gold.

Mofmm: u r power. I can only pump 60ml both side. What ur CL said is true. The small bottles max is 125ml. If baby out grown, I used it to store water for her or my breastmilk. I didn't latch my girl. My girl best alarm clock. She every 2hrs want to feed. My girl lots of pattern. Atas butt. Always big big poo when I use merries diaper.

Baby's digestive system not well form yet. They may have hiccup before 1yrs old. U may need to burp your baby until abt 6mths old after they start taking solid food.

Saw today offer for goon diaper @$14.90. N some milk powder on discount. Merries or goon is better? Give me dh a long list to grab at baby fair. Hahaha
 
Hi Babysmurf, for the AA swaddles I got one last packet to let go at $28. So far I only using 3 pkts = 12 pcs for the girls and one can last whole day unless accident like pee. Let me know if u want cos fair may be more exp at 39...only thing is that is the same pattern as I sold to you before so up to you. Msg me on FB if u keen.

Goon diapers is supposed to be really good I heard but but the fair price not attractive. I bought same thing from Qoo market at same price n come with free delivery but not always got this price...must monitor the seller until have discount

Sorry wasnt clear earlier - We are about the same - 120ml for both breasts for every one pump session. Each girl drink 60ml now so just nice...

Ladies, if you bring bb to polyclinic for the free jab, do you still go and see the pd for developmental checkup? Bb's next appt coming up and supposed to have jabs.
 
Hi Koric, I brought my bb to polyclinic to have HepB 2nd dose. The clinic also do developemental check. Since I go there, I can't go to private for jabs already. The polycinic staff told me b'cos their schedule and dose differ from private so can't.

My private PD quoted me $82 for 5-in 1 exclude the consultation fee (~$35)
 
Reikibaby and Koric, Oh I didn't know can give bb (2mths plus) the gripe water, decided to give her today as she got quite a bit of wind in tummy and her appetite wasn't very good these 2 days. Hopefully the gripe water will help. I do apply the ru yi oil on her tummy everyday.

I have been gving her about 10ml of plain water since birth cos she's on total FM scare it's too heaty and she'll constipate.
 
I am carrying bb now. My milk is leaking and I need to pump. How do you all pump when you have to take care of bb huh? I think I cannot multi-task! Lol.
 
Koirc: if u do just at polyclinic, there is dr's DA at 3mths n 18mth. 9mth is assessment done by nurse. They arrange togather with the jabs. Baby s'porean not dr charge. Jabs done by nurse.

Znatasha: I also give my girl fm. After each feed I use a wet facial Cotten to clean her mouth n tongue so she also suck a mouth of plain water. Heehee

Regarding the fair, diapers promo is not that attractive as the previous big one.. Huggies newborn is 2 packs for $10..

Koirc, I totally understand that!!!! Either one of my boys will wake up while I am in the mid of pumping! I have to stop and go settle him while my breast is dripping milk!!! Is such a mess..
 
Saralyn, not sure abt the rest but Merries can buy. 4 packs at $77.xx. Pampers pricing and merries comparable so i got 2cartons of merries today. So happi.
 
Lucky u Reikibaby. I keep miss the restock. The staff direct me to go ntuc booth buy. Same price but can't mix sizes. I just wanted m or l size lor. End up bought m for 77.55
 
Usagi, can leh. The uncle told me can mix. Since price same. But i din mix cos i din get any pampers.so i bought a carton L and a XL..so nxt 3mths my boy will be on Merries. Heee

Mofmm, ya we sent baby to nursery for the night and when it's feeding time, the nurse will bring baby in. It wasn't so bad last night as nurse only brought in once at 4am after my last feed at midnight. My colostrum is soooo little when I massage my breast so I don't know if baby is getting enough or if its possible to collect with syringe. Will try to massage again after this.

Yes, realized its a good idea to see visitors while in hospital vs at home. Hence today allowed my colleagues and friends to come. Glad that its over and now can relax.

Today, my catheter is removed and I'm encouraged to walk about. So in love with baby. Really happy to be mummy. I actually asked doctor how soon before we can put the next one in. He said 6 months but must stop breast feeding first. Ha ha, I think 6 months is too soon!

Hi Lil, however little, don't give up. Collect with syringe and ask to see the lactation consultant every day to make sure you are massaging with the right technique and ask her to massage for you both breasts to open as many ducts as possible. Rent the hospital pump if you didn't bring yours and pump every 3 hours diligently. Your efforts will pay off if you keep at it. Jia you!

Lil, the feeling of bring mummy n cradling your little one after nursing is so special right? Don't worry abt your colostrum, bb only needs a few teaspoonful first few days. Your milk will come in few days later. It's a really good idea to put bb in nursery, gives you a chance to rest n recuperate - I enjoyed my hospital stay so much, I extended by 1 more night! Haha...
 
Lil Ponyo: just continue to latch . Usu bm will come in later start with colostrum , the best milk of all. I collect that with syringe at start. Baby have their reserve at the first 48 hrs .

Mofmm, think u looking at S? Pampers S 4 for $40... And merries think they sell by carton... 29 cents per PC but cannot rem how much a carton is. Let me know if u looking for other sizes. If want go super early and Q. Oh yah pampers S 1 person can only buy 1 set I.e 4 packs in a set.
 
Mofmm: u can login to fb. The sis has update of the bb fair offers. My dh came home with 4pkts of s size merries diaper. N lot of pigeon baby wipes, 2tube nipple cream, avent milk bottles. Total damage $300. Sweats sweats.

Bb, you sound like it was a staycation for you. Haha... But I must agree with you that it was so good I also extended one night. At least you have help and as first time mum, I think it's important!

I went out for dinner with friends just now. I felt so good to be able to take a short break and live normally! :p
 
Mofmm: not much discount for avent milk bottles. My sotong dh went to buy the bundle pkt 2big 260ml bottles with 2 small advance bottles for $49.90. Now I have 8big milk bottles at home. Pigeon baby wipe the blue white type at $15 for 2pkts. For purchase of $80, I think free a cheapo thermometer lol.
 
Babysmurf, the pigeon blue n white wipes used for what? Maybe that's the best deal for Avent Hubby could find - but you can use the big milk bottles to store your pumped out breastmilk by buying the avent bottle caps ($11.90 for 10) I just finished pumping 140ml - for both breasts not each breast and I only have 4 Medela bottles which I need to connect to pump. So I use the big avent bottle this way to store in fridge.
