Luv, you will be delivering in Mt A this time right? If i din recalled wrongly, you will be using the PD that has a clinic in Mt A too right? Does he/she has another clinic elsewhere? Can have the PD name? Cos dh and I considering Mt. A instead of TMC.
Sade, Dr Loh also delivers in Mt. A? Any idea?
Girl Girl, how many weeks are you now? Kegel exercise is similar to like controlling our bladder when it is full? Maybe you can google online and check

Sade, i see...initally i thought so too...his home ground easier for him,,, but with so many negative feedbacks from friends who stayed in tmc and thumbs up for Mt.A , i discussed with hubby that perhaps i shld just go Mt A incase i start getting pek chek with TMC service esp the nurses. Haha....
Moreover Mt A is pro bf i heard, they are very encouraging and this is what i really want, to bf and latch on.
Hopefully this arrangement will not be difficult for Dr Loh.

reikibaby, ya i understand. But my friend who delivered at Mt A didn't breastfeed successfully. So my conclusion is that actually it's own determination, perservation and knowledge to be able to breastfeed successfully.
Cos i ever asked Mrs. Wong during class whether can latch on bb straight aft delivery and she said yes as long both bb n mum are fine.

Sade - for the public bank donation, will they let u know if it was a successful donation or if they didn't manage to store due to certain reasons. That reminds me that I forgot to ask cordlife what happens if the cord blood was not successfully harvested, if there would be a refund.
After your checkup, let me know if they allowed the 2 weeks checkup instead of 3.

I am little confused here. Not too sure whether should i go for it. My mum will be doing my confinement. She has done for my sis twice n help my cousin last yr. taking care of baby is not any issue for me. I only scare of the delivery n bf. can I just send my dh to attend only heehee.

ReikiBaby: All the hospitals are pro-breastfeeding now. There has been a change. Last time when you discharge, you can request for pre-mix formula milk. Now, the hospitals do not provide.

Whiteclover I spoke to the lady and asked her the question abt retrieving donor cord blood. She said it's free of charge provided the transplant physician request for it.
Another issue, she had confirmed that whether can donate or not depends on Dr loh decision. Dr loh won't do for c section cos mum n bb are placed in the first place.
She explained a lot of procedures n only a small percentage is successful for donations. Too much to absorb for me. She said will call once when bb is ar 4-6months and another time during 1 yr old. If rec call then it's store successfully. If rec thank you card meant not successful. They will throw away instead of doing research.
N also will withdraw 3 tubes of blood before delivery to do blood test. They will do various test to ensure that the cord blood is of good quality before storing. N also if there is anything wrong with either mum or bb blood test, they will inform.

I just had a electric shock. The plug was broken and I touched it without switching off the main switch. I screamed when it happened coz I felt the electric. My palm and fingers were alil painful but now feeling better.
Worried if baby is ok.. I felt baby kicking. But can't help but worry. What shd I do? Anyone had similar exp?

Tutu ya its not worth to go. V small as compared to previous fair and the other half of the expo is holding some ritual.
A booth selling bb cot with quite a no of selections, a booth selling pram n car seats, mums n fairy selling breast pump n lots of bb clothes. Only saw tommee tippe steriliser n warmer. No other big brands except avent.
Joyfully I have a new box of utrogestan n progynova. Can give it to u for free too. Pm n see how the arrangement to collect.

dian tang, as Tutu mentioned, better not use pillow or bolster in the first few months in case of suffocation risk. Cos bb's neck is still not strong enuf and they might not be able to turn their heads away if they happen to have their noses against the pillow for example. Some pple believe differently, but I prefer to play safe. I just placed a clean folded nappy cloth under the head to catch any saliva or reflux.

But I'll prob choose Dr Ong Eng Keow who's now based at Mt A as my PD. Though that'll mean that I have to make an additional trip to Mt A for the first review for baby. Other mummies have chosen Dr Ong Woon Hong who's based at UE Sq or United Sq (can't remember exactly where).
