Sophie, I have not chosen my gynae yet cos I am under the subsidized one so gynae is not fixed. Also, I am more concerned if can cross the 1st trim smoothly is more impt ba?

Pigy, I am sure everything will go smoothly for you. Remember to take folic acid and don't eat raw food like sashimi and half boiled eggs.

Good luck to all of us here esp those who had previous m/c, stay positive! We can all have our little dragon in our arms this year!

Good morning ladies,

Did anyone experience sleeping discomfort at your Week 6-7? My wife has started to complain of giddiness/discomfort after sleeping at one position for too long. Is there a good position for pregnant lady to sleep? What are your current sleeping positions? Any discomfort experienced during your sleep. Based on what I found on the Internet, it seems that sleeping on the left side is recommended. Quote from Internet: 'sleeping on your left side may benefit your baby by improving blood flow – and therefore nutrients – to the placenta'(Source: http://www.babycenter.com/404_whats-the-best-sleep-position-during-pregnancy_7608.bc).

And sleeping on your back is a no-no position which should be avoided. My wife has tried to sleep on the left side, but still complaining of dizziness later in the nite-maybe no enough suitable pillow support. Perhaps it is time to start buying some comfortable pillow for her to put under her belly for better support when sleeping at her side. :p Quite interesting and I was smiling when I heard her saying that she can feel her so called tummy muscles start to "shift" position uncomfortably when she change her sleeping position. Do you have similar experience too?

CJ Junior> I'm seeing Dr Fong at Jalan Membina. Was with him for my #1. Chose him due to the close proximity to my place as I got bad morning sickness back then.

Gan Jiong Daddy> maybe can buy some comfortable pillow for your wife.

Hi Mommies and daddies... Had a miscarriage tis morn. So will be leaving this thread. Jiayou for ur Bb and stay strong and positive! Love u all and may god bless!

Hi Mommies

Just discovered that I am 4wks pregnant! This is my #2 but #1 gynae is no longer in private practice.

Anyone knows which gynae is as good as Dr Roy Ng? Or gynae based in Mount E medical centre but able to deliver in other hospitals such as TMC?

Hi pokka!!

CJ, lets stay positive!! Me spotted blood this morning got so worried! Visited doc n end up with injection n asked me come back for normal next follow up. Also never tell me if fetus is normal. Any experienced mummy here spotted red blood in first trim yet still have healthy baby?

Tks Minnie and Sophie for the chart, I hv updated details in the link.

Anyone here prescribed with duphaston? I've had 1st gynae visit today, bb still a small dot, gynae says position is good, to go back in 2 weeks' time. Not sure what duphaston is for and google search scares me that it'd banned in USA?

Pigy, my colleague had spotting, in fact she described as bleeding as she said panty was soaked a few times in 1st trim. A lot of bed rest and jab, she is now in 4th mth pregnancy already.

<font color="aa00aa">Yo!YO!Yo!It has been quite some time ever since i last log in, hope every mummies &amp; daddy are fine and still in festive mood

No time to source for a suitable maternity pillow support. So just bought a water cushion and a multi-purpose bean cushion for my wife's nite sleep when she sleep on her side. Ladies, you may want to try it if you start to feel uncomfortable to sleep at nite with a bulging tummy.

Going on to 9th week this week. I count myself lucky to have mild morning sickness, but the queasy feeling seem to be peaking these 2 weeks. I hope it and my perpetual tiredness end soon. Had it too easy for #1, that I think this is pay-back time. Have a good week everyone

Pokka: I'm into my 9th week too. I hope first trim pass quickly and peacefully for everyone. I'm feeling extremEly tired after work everyday, most of the time I can't do anything in the evenings. I hope to get my energy back soon cos it's kinda affecting my work.

Pokka, when is your next appt? Mine is 2 weeks away, can't wait!!!

Shaggy
I'm into my 9th week too. My appt is 3 weeks later. By then have to do Oscar test at tmc. Anybody going to do Oscar test?

Anybody having restless sleep? The whole nite keep turning n tossing didn't sleep much.
