Breastfeeding: I'm a pro breastfeeding mom as well but I do understand that some moms have a lot of difficulty and give up. My thoughts? At the end of the day, all mothers are trying their best for their children, if bf-ing isn't going well, you're tried and tried and it's gotten to the point that you no longer enjoy your baby, then don't feel guilty about switching to formula. Mothers feel enough guilt about not doing the right thing for the children so as fellow moms we should support their decisions instead of making them feel worse. At the end of the day I always think, do what is best for YOUR family situation.
Both my kids were breastfed, my older one till 23 months and my younger one who is going to be 2 is still breastfed. I do it because I find it easier when I am out with both kids. No need to bring bottles, formula, hot water...etc. Just my nursing shawl.
Can't wait for my appointment tomorrow, always exciting seeing baby for the first time.
Any one thinking of hiring a doula? I had one for my second birth and she was fantastic. But she's now gone back to the UK so I'm on the hunt for another.
