Stffy no need use maternity, just use bigger size can already... i do that cause my hse beside swimming pool and last pregnancy i always go down the pool.. I use the want like "diver" kind zip in front.. its nt tight at all yet tho its bigger in size, no need to wori abt swim wuit floating..

Btw, have you told your immediate families (parents/inlaws) yet? We did once we found out for baby no.1, but am thinking of waiting till after my 1st gyne check up (week 8) before saying anything this time round. I don't even feel preggers!
Yoyoblue - the FB link of your mommy friends posing with their bellies is really cool actually. Tastefully done! I did belly pix when I was about 7 months preggy with Kieran as well, but it was just DIY photos taken by hubby at home

steffy - U can get some cheap swimming costumes for preggy women from This Fashion. Just pick the 2 piece tankinis with a wide waistline....otherwise wear a bikini cos these would always fit! I actually did that for my last pregnancy.
Stretch mark creams - so soon? I think maybe start using only around 4th month? I didn't buy anything specific the last time round, just slather on more of my body shop body butter. Whether u get stretch marks or not is also supposedly hereditary, creams are more just to relieve itch.

Yeahi suspect stretch mark is heritary . I already have from last time losing some weight. At the buttocks ... And it is not a lot of lost weight some more. No need pregnancy some more.

Hi ladies! Tested with the clearblue digital and it clearly wrote the pregnant n few mins later 2-3 weeks...meaning as on instruction..most prob 4 to 5 weeks in fetal life.... wow..im really pregnant.....

Blue Y - it's okay to have a bit of coffee. I think 1 a day is okay.
I am a coffee addict, and gave up coffee for my first pregnancy. But by the time baby was born, even though i was TBF, I went back to taking coffee, just not as much as before. Now, with my 2nd pregnancy, I find it much harder to give caffeine. Can only bring myself to cut back.

Ya ya I cannot stand it any more after 1 week. I decided to take coffee every 2 to 3 days. In the morning I get nausea because stomach empty ... So bad feeling fresh brewed coffee helps... Keke by the way I am coffee lover and I don't take 3 in 1. Imagine I feeling so deprived. Even husband also deprived. Keke he does not know should not take too much caffeine . Phew.
MayC I also not told anyone except the forum. My husband told his grandma und aunt tho. I don't think I can hold for long, soon my husband will spill the beans, he is a big mouth, even he accepts the fact. Haha. he keeps asking 'can I tell? '

wahh many of u seem to be caffeine addict. Hehe i wish i could drink coffee. I cant even drink or smell anything that contains caffeine. I will be sweating n down with very bad palpitations and crying for no reasons.. My parents and siblings too. So till this day i cant even make coffee accept the instant.

talking abt confinement service.... i think for this time round, i would like to have one cos i guess it will be tiring with two children to tend too... for my 1st one, i have to thank my mom n mil who constantly gave the support n food i need to keep going....

Mayc & jtml: ya stretch marks usually run in e family. If ur mum, aunts or sisters had stretch marks during pregnancy then most likely u will hv to. N to b honest I think stretch mark creams only help to minimize the stretchmarks by keeping your skin moist but can't totally prevent. ESP if u r prone to dry skin better apply more often n consistently. I got some horrible ones that appeared immediately aft I got lazy n stopped applying so often in my last mth of pregnancy.

Stella, MayC & Jtml : im not sure if stretchmarks r hereditary but all i know is never ever scratch or rub vigorously when your tummy feels itchy during pregnancy. The itchiness is caused by the stretching of skin... By scratching, it will somehow make the area very sensitive, and more prone to stretch marks..... so far, ive not had any stretch marks.....now sure about this time round though....

There is another one whom I heard is really good from Thomson called wk.tan. Very experienced Gynae but unsure when is she retiring.
Good luck in Gynae hunting. Ask ard for more opinions. And google them in forums. Many ppl writes about the docs.

confinement lady - yes, won't be surprised if the going rate is 3k cos its the CNY period! Off season, they usually cost 2k. This time, i am just going to cater tingkat food & not have a CL! When we had kieran, my CL was quite free - she ended up sleeping & eating more than me! Even went out to the nearby mall to walk most afternoons. Plus she left wet dishes in my kitchen cupboard & we ended up with mould

My experience with stretch marks..At the last few ths of pregnancy, i suffered extereme itchiness tummy, sole of my feet and fingers.Very very extreme that i cried and cant sleep for days. I use frm everything from comb to the wash dishing sponge to relieve my itch. At that point i even think i dun want to ever get pregnant again. I gave up taking care tummy i just scratch with my fingers and i was even admitted to KKH cause they scared i gt this infection i forgot its name... So itchy like mad especially the sole of feet.. Some old wives told me its because my bb got lots of hair and i dont know if its coincidence or myth, my DD really hv lots of hair when she was born..hahahaha

veronica- what a coincidence! my gynae for 1st one is also Dr Eunice Chua... expensive, queue long but shes gd.. but during labour, she'll come in only during the last push n she'll b the one receiving the bundle.. i like her stitching up too.... i dont really feel pain after 2to 3days.... of course there is but minimal discomfort... i heard some doc's stitching no gd, can tear or causes much pain etc.. so looking for a gynae gd in stitching up is also a criteria to consuder if u can afford to choose.
this time round im not sure i wanna take her agn, cos her clinic no discount even after the membership. maybe il try jocelyn wong from the clinic next to tlc at thomson. as with Eunice, jocelyn is also quite popular..heard teres discount with the fbi/sbi card. still weighing the pros n cons...

Wah mayC tat means Confinement ladies is not always good. To add on, they're not cheap.... But maybe last time u had only 1 baby this time is 1 baby and 1 toddler... How u manage?
Looks like really need to be hardworking to apply cream to prevent stretch marks. But my problem is the clogged pores, face is becoming very very oily ... I wash my face often now, the weather is not helping either.

Today got slight spotting and cramps, so i went to KKH A&E . Did a vagina scan, gynae show me the BABY HEART BEAT and say everthing is OK. Prescribe me dydrogesterone table for 2 weeks...
According to the Vagina Scan the baby position is very good the gynae say. Than he say now bb estimated 6 weeks 5 days. Due date estimated will be 10 January 2012.
He request for AMC scan again on 20 June 2011 plus Blood test for checking down syndrome and to double confirm the DUE DATE. But i know normally vagina scan is very accurate than tummy scan.
Some gynae can tell me you can deliver on christmast or 1st January if you cause it is save to after 37 weeks to deliver..
Hmhmmm paid SGD$99.51 incl 2 scan picture for MOMENTO..

JTML - haha.. Poor thing.. But ive had it wth the reserved seat issues. Anyone can be gracious.. But it makes it like only those on reserved seats will b penalised.
