(2011) TTC 2011 Mums!!!

babysee, be4 i hve my girl, i went on a trip with my sis to hong kong.. visited Wong Tai Xian Temple (can't remember exact name).. i was abt to give up liao.. i'm not a buddhist.. but i heard very accurate and thought why not give it a try... i followed my brother-in-law and sister to offer joss sticks (i din even know how sequence to offer and i dun really like joss sticks smell) and told that must pray sincerely.. i got a qian to find out whether i got children luck or not.. the fortune teller tells me yes.. and there are 3,4 and 5... meaning one will comes after another.. believe it or not... after a couple of mths, i did get preg (i'm still not a believer in buddhism)... when scanned, i got 2 sacs... it's twins but 1 did not survive past 8 weeks.. my gynae told me to focus on the surviving bb and i was so happy that she made it... my 1st child edd was april but later gave born in march bcos my placenta was giving way... not enough oxygen to supply liao... btw, my 2nd child edd is in mid may... when i recall the fortune teller words.. he said 3, 4 and 5... it seems to indicate my children birth mths... of course can be concidence lah... JJJ Mummy, i also went previously to Guan Yin temple when i was in my 3rd year trying... the fortune teller told me that i will hve 3 children... which is sort of correct bah... women hve to go thru alot before motherhood... could be a test bah, i guess.. we all went thru alot before we taste the harvest fruit.. jia you ladies...

 
Hello gals!

Before I concieve my ger, I also got bai bai to ask Kuan Yin to give me a child. I got Kuan Yin at home lar. Aft I concieve I also got bai bai to "Zhu Seh Ma" to ask her to give me a healthy n cute bb *kekez*



The Joo Chiat Kwan Yin temple has "Zhu Seh Ma" there. In case u all need to identify "Zhu Seh Ma", she usually carries a child on her lap, can't rem if she holds stuff in her hands. Now I wondering if I should TTC cos my sister getting married nxt yr n she ask me to be her "maid of honour" (and I am no longer a maid liao, cos i am married w 1 kiddo)...

Snowger, i also got Guan Yin at home, been praying for another child for many months liao. Even until now my children will also auto pai pai at Guan Yin and say "pls give us a didi or meimei"



Now is the period of waiting for me, during this period do u ladies feel ups and downs huh? I noticed, for me, a week before the menses is like a critical week, some symptons I feel like "huh, breast bloated or tummy bigger, jialet, this mth no tio again" OR "feels hungry easily, maybe Im pregnant?"



This is so distracting, I keep thinking whether got bb inside liao? Cant really concentrate on work.

 
Snowger, continue TTC bah... it's gona be god's gift to you.. and it may take some time to hit the jackpot? who knows.. maybe u'll be less than 3 mths preggie on her wedding, tummy not obvious and can be ur sis maid of honour?



JJJ mummy, although I only start TTC lately, I do have similar feeling already. Each time, I would experience pregancy symptoms like bloatedness, small cramps, nausea, keep burping, giddy. Then hor, I try to be very careful.. not to trip/ fall/ carry heavy things/ climb high... In the end... Nothing..

anyway my menses is super irregular, so very hard to guage whether I AM PREGGY... have to test consistently in case I did something wrong and bad for bb.. after 4-5 times of -ve result, I dare not check anymore coz it affects my mood alot... Sometimes I think I'm being paranoid!

JJJ Mummy, in July, my girl came up to me and flip up my shirt and said"no baby" and walked away... pp said that children very accurate.. maybe u need to put on weight (stomach big big) and strike.. ;)

if want baby boi must BD on the high fertility days or the dat we ovulate?



im looking at my phone period days calendar, it shows 5 fertile days and 1 ovulate day.

Auroa, same thoughts as JJJ, since u have given birth not long ago.. I think not considered as overage/ high risk mum liao. My mum gave birth to me at age of 20... and my sis 34.. her gynae says she still not considered over age wor..



I have been watching Home & Health channel on babies, pregnancies lately.. u know those Ang Mos hor, dun like to know the bb gender first.. They seems to prefer surprise at birth or leave it in God's will. So when the host ask the elder child if it's gg to be bro or sis while the mum is in labour, the elder sibling/s always get it correct!! very xuan...



BB NN, may i also ask how long u TTC for ur #1? I very scared it's gg to drain my energy, mood, & $$ in the long run..

For my first, I have been trying since Jan 2007, with the assistance of Fertility Dr and TCM, we got successful in March 2009 :D I know the process is not easy, as it is for many PCOS ladies out there, but at the end of the day, when you hold your lil one in your arms, nothing else matters.

 
wishstar, my hub sister also got married quite late in her 37, then she also tried for couple of years and got pregnant at age of 42, 2nd child at 44 and now she (48)is preggy wif her third and somemore my bro-in-law is also quite old. So u shd do fine... dun worry and some more u got see professional help and all the checkups, thus need not worry too much and enjoy having SEX SEX SEX.... kekeke...



Auroa, yah I also heard pple said children very accurate wan, my neighbour's daughter, her son got very chanky even before she tested positive.

But my children, everyday the same leh... happy like hell... even when im pregnant with my 2nd years back, my elder gal also behave the same...

 
I really wonder how babies know. I have a friend, same thing, before she knew she was pregnant, her daughter keep lying on top of her and keeping saying baby is inside.



Maybe they have eyes than can see through our body, or is it 6th sense? Is that why when kids are born, they cannot talk so fast, so they cannot let "secrets" out.

 
oh yah forgot to mention, my hub sister that time wanted to go for IVF liao, but got one doc told her to bath wif normal temp water for 2 weeks and then she really got pregnant. So dun know how true loh...

We should feel encouraged! Look at Zoe Tay! She was 30 plus when she first conceive and she having her 3rd one now!



bb_nn, i heard from people that man should not bathe in v hot water cos will kill the sperm... not sure if it's the same for woman. But studies show that the warmer the water u bathe in, the slower ur blood circulation... [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

JJJ, it's quite true... I picked up a Fertility Book from NLB and am learning many preg related there.. one of which was a case where the couple were unsuccessful in conceiving for many years. When they finally approach this doc, the doc asked about their daily lifestyle.. he found out that the man, like to soak in hot tab water around 37 degrees everyday. He asked him to lower the temp to 33-34 degrees. In few months time, the wife got preggie liao. But nothing mentioned if hot water affects the woman.



hmmm... is this why Japan has lower birth rate? hee..



Oh yah.. just to share further, women should not do too many vigorous exercise.. some women conceived after giving up on dieting too... hee.. I guess fats help??

 
SnowGer >> Last time the fertility DR assisting us with our first baby also told us or rather my hubby to go for Cold Showers. Did not say anything about me, but for me generally, dont have time to soak, and normally with quick showers too (Normal or Cold, seldom warm).

Pommes >> Yes it is possible, I know some of the strips can detect few days before period is due, I think the lower the mIU is, the higher the sensitivity is. Ladies, can correct me if i am wrong, not too sure if higher or lower is better.

 
sorry i think i got some of u confuse, the doc told my hub sis that for the next 2 weeks shower without using the heater i.e. normal temp water.



BB NN, ur cousin just told u? It's like that loh, when my hub sis got pregnant wif the 3rd, i was like wow, cos the couple is in their late 40+s liao and still can tio so easily...

somemore, everytime I went back to my PIL hse during weekend, I kept "complaining" to my MIL that this month boh tio again... then the sis always heard that and she kept quiet loh... then the next thing i know she preggy liao... [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/sad.gif]

Yes have to shower without hot water, if fact the DR told us best, if the hubby can shower with COLD water there for a few mins it works, sperm count x3, hehehe, so yes, ur hubby whole body can warm water, but there cold and next month will be our turn to TIO :D



JJJ Mummy >> Yeah, she is 38YO, by the time she delivers she will be 39YO, but no matter how, i still envy, my cousin and his wife started late too, their first baby 2009. Now No 2... Sigh, i cannot help but envy.



Another one more hour to go, hehehe. to be more precise 59 mins to go :p

 
wishstar, my hub cannot bear to bath with cold water. But if this help not to bring us disappointment again, i think y not. Cos my hub had been me going thru the daily taking temp, taking the pills, blood test and HSG, plus everytime after BD, I will "bedrest" and raised my leg high for at least 20mins. Thus not a lot if we ask them to bath with cold water right? :p



On 2nd tot, we shd also. Can try for next cycle *touch wood lah*

 
JJJ Mummy & Wishstar >> It is worth it, every shower about 5 mins of cold water theraphy for the hubby there. Since they are on this whole journey with us, i think this one small step, sure can one.



For me this cycle, gone case, did not O, so did not BD. Waiting for new cycle and than hope for the best, cross fingers and toes.
