Morning All Mommies!

Hows yr water retention? U must drink a lot of water to make the water retention less worse. Also, lift up yr legs whenever possible when sitting in Office. I purposely put an empty box on my table leg there, so I lift up my legs whenever I can. But my calf there pain... I guess the water retention stayed there instead of my feet.

I used pouch for my #1 since NB till he is about 2 yrs old. I find the pouch very useful. Bjorn Carriers are also very good for older babies. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

I feel that right now, your bb matters more than anything else. You should go ahead and take HPL since gynae also approved this HPL. U have a reason to take HPL; so try not to feel too bad about it. One of my close colleagues also always remind me, bb matters most now. Always tell me dun worry abt my work when am on mc/leave. I understand its hard. But very soon, u will be back to your co. after ML to work harder for them. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Your 1st child is @ CC now, so it will be easier for yr maid to handle your #2 like what I plan too. The only thing is; if #1 falls sick and needs to stay @ home, u will probably need to take leave to look after #1 while maid continues her 'routine' wz housework + #2 as usual. This is what I had planned too.
I remembered last time when I had #1 and maid, I told my maid - bb comes 1st. Housework comes 2nd. Only when bb sleeps, then do housework. And also during weekends, I dun need her to look after bb for me. I will take over for 2 weekends days. From Mon-Fri when am back to Office, she continues her routine again. So she has more time to rest and her work over the weekends. In fact, I personally feel that when there is a baby at home, the maid tends to be able to "laze" a bit here and there. So housework will not as good as last time. Thats where we have to lower our expectations since we have a baby at home for the maid to look after. Am sure she can.
During your confinement, she continues to wash/clean your house as usual. Only your confinement food, u may have to consider order confinement catering unless u have someone cooks for u. Then, after confinement over, once over 3mths liao, u can ask her to watch how u look after bb and guide her. By 4th month, u can go downstairs buy things and train her to help u see/look after bb for half an hour or so... Slowly, she will get used to it.
Hope yr #1 had recovered from fever?
