Valeria, Maybe u can try lie down n place ur hand on ur tummy. And hold there for a while. I'm sure once ur bb feel ur hand temperature will move toward ur hand n kick u. My girl also did there. Normally when i lie down n place my hand below my belly button. N she will keep kicking n kicking. Maybe she know i playing wif her. Haha my mom scold me say dont keep play wif her. Love her bt not mean must play wif her. Let her sleep n rest. =P I say "Orh", Then I go back my room n continue to play wif her. Wahahaha~~

 


Hey mummies, dun scare ourselves or over-worry ourselves with all these stories.. As my fmaily dun have alot of pantang, I have been eating all fruits incl watermelon.. I still do hsework etc but of cos hubby help out more & dun let me carry anythg too heavy nowadays.



My colleague had contraction-like symptoms during the 4th or 5th mth & in end, they had to vacuum baby..it's really a sad thg & I sincerely wish none of us have to go thru dat. No matter wat is our religion or belief, it's good to trust that He has his reasons for watever dat happened.

 
@Val: My last rebonding was on Jan but bcoz my hair grows fast and is on the coarse side so those new grown hair is v "pongified"!! Whahaha..

Another story I heard yrs ago was from my x bf's friend. His wife gave birth to a stillborn. That bb was their 2nd child and was a boy.. Their 1st is a girl, and he told my x that the boy really look like him alot. So sad right..?? Haiz..



@wish_child: As my hair is also v volume and thick, I need the weight to pull it straight so I can't cut them short now or I'll look more aunty le.. Sad..

Actually other than the square shape face, I don't mind my girl to look like her daddy la, just that my hubby's face is more to flat type so not so nice.. Hehe.. During the detail scan I thought I saw shape nose but short chin and pouty lips. Haha.. Dunno is my imagination or what..

 
@pinkyval: I too have mickey mouse ears & hubby always make fun of me too :s I hope my daughter will have daddy's ears lah.. but my complexion & fairness.. dadyy's heights & facial features.. Of cos, all these not so impt, most impt baby healthy.



Actually mummies I am so jealous cos until today I dun feel baby kick or anythg.. but today I went for detailed scan again as the other time they cld not see her heart..today,s he was a good girl.. everythg is ok according to sonographer.

 
valeria, Ur hubby gt car also gd ah.. Can drive u around n bring u go eat. So in the middle of night if u wan eat some food he can go buy for u since he gt car. haha i goin make my hubby do that once he back. Wahaha~~



Zanta, I think ur hair is same as my hair too. Cannot anyhow let ppl cut if the hair stylist dont know about our hair. Last time i went to have my hair cut at REDS. Oh my god i come out of REDS i nearly cry. Coz the hairstyle cut my hair until like a poodle. Hmpft look very ugly. End up went to rebond.

@Zanta: Hahahahha! Pongified. My hair if it's short also very pong. Then last time Primary don't know 4 or 6 when taking photo for IC. My IC photo cannot contain my whole face lor. Both side of the hair is being cut off a bit. LOL~ Then my hubby keep laughing when he saw my hairstyle. I'm so glad and proud after I change my IC. =p

Oh, I also saw pouty lips on the detailed u/s photo!! Cos the photo is like taking baby's sideview. So I think cos the face is not fully developed yet?

 
@Nashita: Don't worry since your girl is fine according to the detail scan. Maybe your girl is just v gentle?

My girl move/kick so hard at times that I will get a Shock and move abit. Last night I was not able to fall asleep bcoz I'm feeling hungry and at the same time, my girl was kicking/moving. I kept asking her to go to sleep but she seems to be protesting. Haha..

@pinkval - same i also have long hair and i just chopped off 3 inches last month. Now abit wavy and pong [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/sad.gif] Intend to trim 2" off in late Jan 2011. Don't think will cut it short coz got advise from my frens that either cut it real short or long enough to bun up. After confinement, will go cut, rebond and highlight color but abit concern will it affect as i want to bf. I like crossing legs whenever i sit even on small stool haha..hard to kick this habit lor...hmm will try not to cross legs.



@Zanta & wishchild - we should be on guard at all times and we can only be relieved after bb is born...however after born, will start worry on other stuffs such as her growth development etc. Talking about feature, not sure will my bb has double eyelids because my hubby's eyelids 隐隐约约 type. Mine not inborn one, slowly have coz when i in teens, im very vain, always tape/glue it till now have eyelids. @wish_child: About 10yrs ago I went to Reds Taka for a haircut and I cried lor.. They also cut till like dunno what hairstyle for me. I was so angry that till now I nv go back again. And last time rebonding was so x and my hair was so short so nv go for rebonding.

@nashita: Ya, maybe at later part she'll be kicking you very hard? Hehe.. On Sunday my baby suddenly kicked so hard that my hubby got a shock. Till now he keeps thinking that our baby's kick is very strong even when I told him only that day was very strong, don't know why.



@wish child: Hahahha! Scarly he asked me to drive myself ah. Lol~ But it's true lah, got car want to go where eat also easier. But expensive to own a car leh. Hmm... Now is we'll sometimes borrow his sis's car cos she don't really use the car at night and on weekends. Her car petrol can claim from company but if we have our own car petrol cannot claim leh. @Zanta: Haha cos I cannot take it already!! My face change a lot from Pri to Sec to Poly and to working in society. Last time my passport photo was my Sec sch time and also look very different. Then last time when I was flying when I go to China this kind of places they have to consolidate our passports and pass it to custom officer. Then when they returning the passport to us they'll open up to see belongs to who mah. Then so irritating lor! They'll laugh at me lor. Haha! So sianz. So I went to change my IC and passport.



Maybe baby is sucking the thumb. Hee hee hee...

Re: Baby movement

i suppose different babies react to different 'stimulants'. some babies react to movement, some to light, some to noise. i realise my baby react most to sound, especially keyboard typing and handphone sound. she will also move to more happy songs(like now). doesnt move much when i shake, nor after food. she reacts the most to when i shout my dog's name. maybe she think Kiki(my dog) is her name, cos i use that word more often than Valerae(my baby's name). lol.. i am very evil.. i like to startle my baby by suddenly shouting at her or banging metal things together just to feel her jump. i hope it wont affect her negatively. :)

i keep telling baby not to look like daddy cos my hubby got very manly face. later my baby come out looking like transexual..

Gd afternoon ladies...



This thread moves really fast.. just a few days and so many things to catch up...



pinkyval and wishchild - I also have the habit of shaking my tummy and asking baby to kick if he has been quiet for some time.. then also kena scolding by hubby ;p he say must let baby rest so he can grow.. but i still quite kan cheong.. must get some reassurance that he's still ok.. do ur babies' movement vary from day to day? Mine can be quite active one day, then the next day he will go all quiet and just give me a token kick every few hrs...



On rebonding - yeah.. i can't wait to rebond too.. my hair is getting quite messy esp after i cut it short.. doesn't help that i sometimes fall asleep soon after bathing and the hair is wet.. if i don't lay down my head properly, my hair will stick out in all directions the next morning...



btw, can i check if any mummies here believe in listening to classical music? heard that it can soothe the baby and even make them smarter???

I wish mine will flatten back lor. Last time when I was still flying whenever I twist my hair I look on the ground of my shadow. I can see my ears sticking out lor! *sigh* Made me cannot walk confidently. Hehehe..



Oh I think you better don't scare her. Next time she'll be very timid. I know of this Taiwanese celebrity couple. The wife during pregnancy loves to watch horror show at night with the lights off. And don't know if that's the cause, her son is having 自闭症 now. So better to be safe, better don't scare yourself or scare your baby. =)

 
@kinder: Oh yeah, mine the movement will vary too. But as usual, at night when I'm lying down he'll be very active.



Oh my hubby did tell me I should listen to Mozart's music. Cos it's proven when baby is born if he can't sleep you can let the baby listen to Mozart's music to calm him down cos he's been listening to it since in mummy's tummy. But I never listen lah. Lol~ Maybe I'll buy the CD and put the earpiece on my tummy for baby to hear. Hee hee..

 
pinkyval: hahah i think i got common face leh. my hubby was a child actor. the familiar face that graced the posters of 7-11 holding the big gulp. thats why last time i always hope to have a son cos i think my hubby looks very adorable when young.



i read about the horror show thing.. i think its only when we feel afraid that the scared hormones will be passed to baby. if i feel happy baby should be feeling happy also right? i feel pervertly happy when i startle my baby.. the 'jumping' feeling inside very cute..

 
Mrs ong i'm sure ur bb girl will attractive even no double eyelid. If gt single eyelid will look like japanese or korean. Haha i dont have double eyelids too. Haha but lot ppl say i look like china girl. wahaha coz i'm tall.



valeria, gd if u can used ur Hubby sis car. Can save money too. Hmm ya true it very difficult n hard to own a car. My hubby pass me his car when he went oversea. But i nv drive his car until last mth start drive nearby. My drivin skill very lousy n parking skill is even worse. My hubby car is manuel somemore. I'm so scared suddenly i will have leg cramp while changing gear. But best dont drive while pregnant cause the seat belt very tight n also very dangerous dont put on seat belt.



Zanta, I will never go back REDS. I will only go kimage. Haha. I feel their service is gd n they always cut for me the hairstyle is what i want. =)

My bb don't react to sound.

I felt she react to food more. haha But i very scare my bb ear gt problem or not. My fren bb ear 1 side cant heard properly. My hubby say i always like to scare myself. But tat time my mom shouted at my bro. My bb sudden kick me very hard. Think she gt shock. Haha.

Jooz since ur bb react to sound so well you shld play classic music for ur bb everyday. My sis say play classic music for bb everyday.



Kinder, my bb also like ur bb. Will active yester than tomor will quiet down. Like kick me few time after few hrs. DOnt worry ur bb pefectly fine. But sometime my bb nv move i will wait until at night for her movement. She move a lot at night.

My gynae said that it is alright to rebond and highlight your hair in the 3rd tri ..

Definitely safe during BF time too ..

Actually, I am thinking of doing highlights to my hair at the end of the month ..

So now, my hubby is my chauffeur ..

wish child: ive been playing music to her, but mainly ballads, not classical music, cos i cannot appreciate classical music.. but somehow, my baby react most to old macdonalds. cos the youtube version pretty upbeat and cute. maybe coincidence but she will kick kick punch punch everytime i play that song. recently been repeating "my love will get you home" and "daughters" to her.. but she like no reaction to these two songs, but i really need a change of song list cos im getting so bored listening to same song over and over again.. haha..

regarding horror show hor, last monday i really regret watching something.. i am actually okay with horror show. can watch alone with all the lights close. i am someone who enjoys watching the Saw series, texas chainsaw massacre etc.. maybe cos i am in the media industry i know all those are fake and how they make the effects. however, last monday, i saw this video my friend posted on FB.. its actually a link to youtube.. i really regret watching. it is a 10min detailed autopsy video.. really detailed until they like cutting up a piece of cow meat.. dig out everything. actually i wanna stop watching, but my eyes just cannot stop. got one point the dead body face drop out from under the towel they use to cover.. i literally felt traumatised after that. really shouldnt have watched, bcos it is disturbing like hell.. after that i went to google see whether watching this kind of things got effect on baby.. heng not much.. but kena scolding from hubby at night when i told him.

 
Haha jooz, ur girl very cute will react to sound. I think my bb will only react to techno song n R&B. Haha both me n my hubby love techno song. Because i like the beat will make my heart beat very fast n shiock. Haha. Have ever listen to techno song when 1st trimester when i'm feel very stress. Haha.. Now never i scare my bb come out keep shake her head when listen to techno song. My fren went club even she pregnant. When her bb out, the bb will shake his head while listen to music. Haha look cute but i see it look scary like the bb took drug.

And so happen they showing the trailer of the show 童眼 lor! Omg. I don't dare to watch man. And I cover my ears. *sigh*



I everyday listen to radio and watch youtube leh. Haha! I'm exposing my baby to rock and pop music. Hehehe... I hope my baby can sing as well as my hubby too.

Oh ya I wanted to share something this morning but I forgot. Last night I thought I felt my baby moving so I asked my hubby to put his hand on my tummy. And guess what he told me? He said he can feel baby's heartbeat! I think now is the time to use the stethoscope that I bought from Toys R Us to hear liao. Hee hee hee...



@wish child: I just did what you suggest. Put my hand on my tummy for a long time and I can feel my baby kicking me!! And the kick is getting harder and harder! So happy!! Thanks for the tip!! =D

 
@wish child: How about watch those non bloody one? That day I watched a Japanese movie "Outrage" with my hubby and his friend. The show quite bloody cos it's about Yakuza one. Then that day me & my hubby watched the 狄仁杰. And that's when my baby keep kicking. I realised when there's "pom pom" sound on tv or cinema he'll start to kick liao. Haha!

Valeria, u goin buy stethscope at Toys R Us? If work tell me i also wan to buy. I can feel my bb heartbeat. Jus place 2 finger on ur tummy n search slowly. I will only feel her heartbeat when my tummy out sudden one spot feel a bit pain then i will place my finger there n can feel her heart beat. Maybe u can try. Haha.

No prob for the tips. But u dont fall asleep putting ur hand on ur tummy. That time i ever fall asleep placing my hand on my tummy. when i woke up i feel my tummy which i cover on my hand there very pain n hard. Think my bb girl also slp below my hand. Then i faster rub my tummy n my bb slowly shift backward or center. Then my tummy feel ok. Haha

 
pinkyval: it was on my friend's wall and i kaypoh go watch. i thought it was fake, but the more i see, the more it seems real, until i find out its a training video for forensic people - those people who conduct the autopsy. dont knw why this kind of video can be uploaded also. its not for normal people to watch!

Remember to grab hold of the handrail when going on stairs.. i've a bad track record of missing steps and even tumbling down overhead bridges, so now my hubby is very worried that i will be even clumsier.. so everytime we go on stairs he will nag and nag me to hold on to the handrail..haiyo.. feel like an old lady sometimes

 
Zanta, Dont worry if breastfeed sure will slim down. Ur girl sure will help u share the loads.

i dun know he will look like who..

cuz both me n my hubby look alike..

my hair also very messy.. like grass..

only if i do rebonding my hair will be smooth..



last week i went to watch movie..

the trailer of the show 童眼 was shown also..

i was so scare that i close my eyes..

last time i like to watch ghost show very much..

but after i pregnant i become so coward..



slim down: i still thinking whether can i get back to my pre-pregnant weight..

hope this time i can slim back faster also..
