Serene: My boy also the same. Now sleep lesser. These few days will wake up for long time and keep not feeling well like that. CL say his stomach alot of wind judging from the area around his mouth (cos a little blue blue in colour). So had to carry him for a long time before can put him to sleep. Today he vomitted milk twice too.. I mean practically merlion quite abit. See him like that breaks my heart. Hai...

 


ann -- let bb tummy time more.. then use gripe water and ru yi oil... my pd ask me to give bb gripe water.. and it helps a lot..



u got burp ur bb? now hor, i try to let her sit up or lie straight for a while before letting her sleep in her cot.. so she wont spit milk..

 
bb's full mth is this sat.. we are doing it 3 days earlier... but hor... if got a choice, i really dun feel like doing it.. such a waste of $$ i think.. plus.. i am too tired to entertain pple and the tot of having to disrupt bb's sleeping and feeding time makes my heart pain.. serene, i feel the same way. people have been coming over during the weekends since i gave birth and i feel so tired having to entertain. i use her feeding to get away from that sometimes.

 
Serene: Think from another perspective. BB get to know relatives so they can prepare ang pao during CNY for ur child!

u dun really need to entertain much also. Parents will be busy showing off their grand kids. Haha..

 
Serene: I do give my BB gripe water and apply ru yi oil on him. But doesn't seem like helping much lei. For gripe water, do u mix with water and give to your BB or just feed like that.



We do burp him.. twice. Once is halfway thru his milk and another time when he finish his milk. He only vomitted today nia. So we gave him lesser amt of milk and then ok le. I think his tummy really bloated so can't take in the same amt of milk which he usually take in.



I never let BB have tummy time one lei.. maybe I should try.



Same as you, my BB full mth is this Sat too. It is alot of money, I still got to buy cake vouchers even though I am catering buffet already. Quite abit of money spent but as long as old pple happy then ok lo.

 
Junie: I cater my buffet from delihub (also under neo group) cos I have malay guests and so need to be halal.

 
For my BB full month this coming sat, i only give cake boxes to those whom i did not invite to the buffet (mainly colleagues - too many, if invite one, have to invite all)...those coming for buffet will be mainly relatives & close friends...no cake boxes for them, just makan....a lot of $$ lei...

 
that's what i intend to do so also for my BB's full mth.

Ann : My bb gal spill a LOT of milk coz she was overfed by nanny..to a point that it came out from her nose! Brought her to see her PD and was prescribed RidWind. Have been using for past 2 days.. think it helps. We also noticed that she pooed a lot after we started Ridwind.. so much that almost the whole diaper was soiled and leaked!So far we got 2 of such poo poo liao.



My bb's shower is also on this sat and sun. Ya.. have to spend alot..

 
AK, how's your CL? Still giving you problems? My bb's been spitting milk these past few days, almost after every feed. Dunno what to do. We burp her after every feed, now don't even dare to put her down right away. Still spit milk. Wonder if she has too much wind.

 
ann -- tummy time is useful. PD demo for me once, within 5 mins, bb farted... [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] as for gripe water, the indication is 1 teaspoon for 1 mth old.. so i jus use a small straw and give her a bit. then feed her some water then latch her on liao..



buffet -- i got neo garden buffet, melrose cakes and cuppamomma cupcakes, bengawan solo vouchers



cakes is only for prayers so we went to melrose cause its cheaper. then for relatives is vouchers. my mom say who give ang bao then give voucher back. as for hubby colleagues, we bought 2 cakes for them.

 
AK -- hope bb's alright now.. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] PD told me that the RidWind and gripewater works the same.. bb has been very powerful at pooing and farting but still got wind wor.. so we use gripe water lor..

long time never post here. My confinement has been 2 weeks so far le, so far so good, just very tired total bf bb directly. My CL is good and fast and efficient, has been helping me alot to look after my elder boy and bb. Can recommend to anyone here for your next confinement. I totally bo chap about confinement rules, I shower and wash my hair daily after back home from hosp. CL just reminded me once, but I said I would prefer to do that and I feel more comfortable, so she never nag like my 1st CL last year. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] To me, after my 1st confinement, I feel that I know what I want for myself and what is good or bad for myself, I dont need to be controlled by all those confinement rules if dont sound logical and reasonable to me. So this time, my confinement is not smelly and not that pek chek le. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] I feel happier. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]



Hopefully I can manage my 2 kids well after my 56 days of confinement with help of CL.

My boy also sleeping lesser and tends to spit out milk. seems that its quite common. By the way hw long u all latch onto babies? & usually hw long they will slp thru?



When shld we give baby tummy time? B4 or after milk?



Seems like i getting more and more lazy to pump my milk. I dont know issit cos of that my milk dont seems to increase. After latch on i pump out only ard 60ml in total for both breast. Issit very little??

 
Serene: i using California Baby for bathing. Bb lotion is PD give me one but i find it oily. So always never apply. Heehee..

 
Serene: me haven't pop but i bought johnson for bathing. as for lotion need? i only get the avent bottom balm & california non-talc powder...

 
babycoco: how are you coping on your side?



Couple of days back I went out with hubby to finalise bb's shower stuff. It was supposed to be a happy day for me one.. but when I came home.. I was shocked to see my (new) maid carrying my baby! Coz I said a thousand times that I will not let my maid care for my bb. I quickly carried my bb back andwent into my room..then my tears juz came splashing down. Later that night i asked my nanny why is the maid carrying my bb. She said bb cried n she gota cook. I told her off that I rather starved and not eat than having the maid to care for my bb. Then I also told her that if i can trust any maid to take care of my newborn then I dun ve to spend so much $$ to engage her le. Now, I wondered how the maid managed to carry my bb outa the cot herself! Simple instructions she also cant get after one week.. I really upset that she carried my bb! I cried n cried. During those times when my hubby is away.. the maid n nanny will chat in their room and I will retreat back into my room. I feel so alone in my own house with 2 new strangers who turned my house upside down. sigh.. but I can count down to end of my confinement le! This coming sat n sun will be my gal's first month and nanny will be leaving on Mon. I hope I can cope when the nanny leaves.. till now I haven't tried bathing bb on my own yet! I only observed the nanny nia..

 
btw.. my confinement also nothing much. I still wear my usual sleeveless top and shorts at home. Sleep in air-conroom. Shower once or twice a day. Wash hair alternate days. Everyday my meals, will have one dish with ginger/sesame oil/rice wine etc..the rest are normal food. My hubby eat exactly the same food as me. From 2nd week onwards, my nanny will make DOM soup for me almost every night. The only thing which I did differently is that I wore bedroom slippers whenever I can remember to. I went out on the 3rd day liao coz need to bring bb to PD. Then when she was hospitalised, I visited her every 3 hourly even at 11pm and came home after midnight. Didnt have chance to catch any movie though but went out a few times with my hubby to get groceries/shopping etc

 
Back from movie, Sorcerer Apprentice, super disappointed, really not my type of movie, i watched the trailer, wah so impressive, in the end.....it's quite lame i find.. i think more suitable for young kids. Arrgghh almost fell asleep during the movie. Inception is fantastic though, hubby and I really enjoyed ourselves. Think maybe watch despicable me tmr.. i read all the reviews are good! that's if... bb still doesn't want to come out T_T



Anyway mummies, those who cater buffet for the bb's full month celebration, how much roughly do u spend for the buffet and cake/voucher? Then your guests will bao ang pow for bb right? u think those ang pow can cover the buffet and gifts?



We also don't want to hold anything for bb's full month celebration, ideal plan is just to have dinner/ lunch with families (not even relatives).

Yah lor.. how much is the cater & cakes. For me I will ask ppl come eat.. those come no cake. No come got cake if not will cost a bomb.

if you havent order your catering, i would like to recommend Melrose Place Catering.. its the same as the melrose cakes but they have catering too. No transport fee for above 30pax and no GST!! Food is really 10% more and really taste not bad, quite nice in fact.

Hi all i noticed there is slight streak of blood at my BB stools this morning. Than i stop on my breast milk gave him fully formula milk. Evening his stools was back to normal if not normal i will rushed him to Hospital. I just pump my breast milk and throw away cause i tink it could be the food i eat that cause him to have the blood. So thank god i was fast to act.



My bb also went for the circumcision at Eastpoint Clinic Sidek on Tuesday. Hard pain see him crying but hubby says he will thank me when he grow up. There were slight bleding at the penis but after that bb is ok. He even bath this morning. He did not cry. Glad all turn out well for the circumcision.

 
CT -- heng ah.. must monitor ok.. i remember last visit, i ask PD what must i take note of that if it happens means its serious.. PD mentioned blood in stools..



as for the circumcision.. ur hubby is right. i got a friend who needs to be circumsized at 30+ years old cause his fore skin is trapping bacteria. and he was in total depression for 2 weeks! since then, he had been encouraging all of us to do that for our male babies.. be it long or short foreskin also go and do.. for hygiene purpose also

 
Yes CT, pls stop ur bf now. My boy was admitted to hosp due to blood in stool. Has a terrible time there. U try avoid seafood, dairy products n nuts first. Then bf him back and monitor his poo. Meanwhile let him on FM for the time being while u clear ur body system. Gd luck!

I tink it is the Magnolia Banana Flavour milk cause the main alergy. Cause normal i drink Meiji milk no problem. I dont eat much rice. I drink milk most of the time. Only yesterday i change to Banana Flavour andthe brand MArigold.

So scared now. I dont want to see my BB admited to Hospital and suffer because of my Breast Milk.



I wonder how long should i wait till i can full breastfeed again?



Jolyn how long you stop Bf and let BB on formula milk?

Was feeling moody today thus hubby brought me out for movie after his work. We went to watch Sorcerer Apprentice too, but i quite liked the movie. Quite funny. At least it did lift my mood [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]



As for full month, we are only gg to get either cakes or cake vouchers for relatives only and those who didnt make it for the party but did give ang baos.

anyone up still? am agonised my the fact that my i had been feeding my bb for the past 75mins or so and he is still not satisfied.



one of the ward nurse told me... my nipples are quite short but my boy is latching right, and that could be the reason why i am hvg sore nipples right from the start. 2 days, i persevered... but i gave in cos he suckled for too long and i could not cope w the soreness... got the nursery to give him some FM to tong for the nite until my nipples are in better condition. now contemplating whether to express exclusively for him...

 
Serene: ya I have beansprout pillow for him and also swaddled! No use... Whenever he sleep alot in the afternoon, Hubby and I know we are in for a rough night. Sigh



jelly: don worry dear, starting always like that you should know ma hehe. Supplement with FM first meanwhile try to use your hands and see if you are producing colostrum already. If so then get bb to latch on for awhile lor. Sorry to hear about sore nipples, mine also still sore after 2 weeks :/

 


CT: my boy admitted for 2 days n on fm for 4 to 5 days. He was given a special formula which cost 87 a tin!! During these few days I stop taking seasfood, dairy product n nuts. Then start to bf him afterthat. 1 week past already n his poo is ok. So now I start to take fish. Am monitoring his poo now. If is ok after a week, I will start take egg.



Jaclyn: like what serene say, like ur bb slp til very soundly first. Which usually gotta be damn long... Think they jus wan ppl to cuddle them now..



Jellypurin: let ur nipple rest first so u can walk a further journey!! Jia you!!
