I find that my girl empties out my breasts better than the pump. breasts feel softer after she latches as compared to when i pump only. though she drinks less when she wakes up for night feeds, so i pump out the rest. Like Jaclyn, I'll latch for as long as I can, then switch to pumping only.



I realised I'm probably latching wrongly. but when I try to make her latch properly, she gets cranky and she'll re-position herself to the wrong latch. how ah? should I see the lactation consultant, again? the LC came to see me when i was at TMC, and they said latch was correct (they charged for it though, all in the final bill :p). but now the left side really hurts when she suckles, and it looks like a shallow latch.

 


oops peanut, i din know seeing the LC at TMC while u were warded oso must pay! Phew.. now i don feel so bad hehehE!



Mommies, just want to say.. don worry too much. We'll take it as it comes. Whatever problems.. we'll face them and get over it. Be it expressing milk by pump or by latching, end of the day.. baby still gets the needed antibodies from you. Those that have to supplement with FM also same. Just give as much as you can and dont feel bad or guilty about it. We're just doing all we can!

 
Hi mummies!



Dont forget to burp your bb even when you are breastfeeding. I thought that direct latching doesnt require us to but I was wrong. My PD told me that I have to. I didnt do that earlier, and now my bb having so much wind in his tummy.

 
Pillow- I cried big time when #1 was warded 3d2n for jaundice but feel sad Nia for #2 when warded 1 day for jaundice but I Also extend 1 nite stay in e hospital for him. Such a great diff.

 
vivi, might help to not compare then feel oh i must be feeling less .... and go with the flow of what we have been blessed with. no matter what, #1 brings excitement coz its our first (like first love, haha :p). everything is first time. now , seasoned liao :p

My boy was also damn cranky the first 2 nights when we are home.. he woke up every hour to request for milk.. suck for 5mins.. then sleep again.. both me and hubby really exhausted the 2 nights.. then come to 3rd night.. cos i need to drink the rice wine soup, i pump out my milk in advance.. so tat i can bottle feed him after i drink the soup.. cos PD say better dont drink the soup while and before bf.. and surprisingly he finished 80ml of milk and sleep 3.5 hrs throughout!!! finally we got some rest.. and thereafter, i use the same practice, give him EBM around 12am.. then during the night, i only need to wake up 2-3 times to bf him.. so tat i can have longer nap at night.. Babycoco, mine sometime will burp. At least we tried, else bb will feel so bloated and gets very cranky. Hopefully the tummy time will help too, I will try that method too. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

 
those mummies who give birth at TMC , can i check , the baby diapers was given 1 pack ? enough anot ? need to bring extra ourself ?

 
yes, TMC is very niao haha. they really charged us for every little thing. was telling my hubby we should've brought home the hand sanitiser they charged for :p



white lady, I think they gave one pack. more than enough for the 4 days my girl was there. the balance was given to us to bring home.

 
peanut>> Ya, my friend who delivered in TMC told me they even charge her for the plastic bag/bowl that she used to puke into. Think it was like 40cents each.



I told my HB, we bring our own plastic bags then just in case. Siao lor! 40cents for a puke bowl/bag.

they charged us for "nursing procedure (15min)" so i think that's the LC la.



junie, they even charged us for the baby ID tag can.

peanut: When i discharge, they gave me a TMC bag with the pampers+ wet wipes+ hand sanitizer leh. They also gave me almost 20 bottles of formula and empty bottles too.



But really they charge everything lah! That blue colour incontinence sheet they put underneath u.. one piece so expensive.. if i know i bring my own plastic LOL!

How much do they charge for that sheet? Haa can tell them dun put the sheet? Cos even if stained, its their bedsheet, so if we are gg to use the blue sheet, its for their convenience, not ours, so why should we pay for it..

 
redbb, whether to leave binder on is up to your preference. i dun like it so only wore binder 1 day . i don't wear binder after that.

well, csect process isnt as scary as i'd imagine....

started my csect @ abt 9ish, now i can feel my toes liao.

pain on my wound is bearable. but the nurses asked me to take the painkiller...

the only thg tat freaks me out is the drip thgy stuck on my hand.

will update u all in a bit!!

 
sun_tan: Its 1.80 for a small one and $4 each for the big one. Haii at that time i so "seh" already from the epidural.. but actually that sheet is good la.. later visitors come then u stain all the bedsheets so paiseh hahaa!!

Jaclyn: Use towel cover or blanket.. I also agree with suntan.. we pay for the bill lor should include washing... or that sheet if they want washing to be easier.

Hahah got blanket to cover mah. But the thing is they are so niao loh, charge us for the things that make them more convenience. Its not like we request for it. If not wrong, i think Mt A also charge for the blue sheets.

Jaclyn, yup they gave me the bag with all that too. But if you check your bills you'll see that they charge for 2 sanitisers heh. One for baby one for the room. But I agree that the service was great. Would choose tmc again [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

 
SAVE ME... my bb didnt sleep from 11am till now and now shes HALF asleep after taking her schduled feed. her heat rash is spreading and its all over her face. im so upset la.. PD say it will come and go but my full mth is this sat.. how how

same here...my bb got his cranky days when he refused to sleep and want to be carried...after that he will get so tired fr lack of sleep and next day back to his usual routine...hope he will be a good boy this sat during his full month celebration...



confinement coming to an end this week...woohoo!!

 
i also very sian.... now she finally sleep.. but thats after her scheduled feed which she only latched for 15 mins.. wonder how long is her sleep gonna last...
