lucky my gynea explain the curry logic to my hubby... else dont think got chance to eat when he is around... always have to take it during lunch at work with colleagues... hahaha

A bit worried though, last check revealed that the cord is round my BB's neck. 2 wks back was 2 rounds, last week show 1 round.



Anyway, next checkup on Thursday. Will ask Gynae again. She did mention to me b4 that she had delivered a BB with 5 rounds ard his neck safely by natural delivery. Gotta trust her and God.

I trusted my gynea as she only deliver babies and do not do any abortions... as she keep saying she can't bear to kill a little life

Actually can I ask y cant nurse or gynae do a scan before we go for delivery.. if the scan can show tat the umbilical cord is ard the neck..



then no need to induce straight away can go for epi. and c-section ... no need waste time and get so kan cheong...

 
phy the baby with the cord wound 5x round the neck, was that discovered during birthing or way before the birth? sounds scary but have no fear when going for delivery, ok? God bless

i think for min's case, i maybe wrg ... while the bb is traveling down the birth canal as the contractions lead him, he is turning so sometimes, the cord goes around his neck. so maybe evn do scan, also cannot tell in a sense...

yap by doing a scan can only see wat happen before pushing... while pushing no one can predict anything...

hmmm having curry too many times a week also bored hahaaha... but i try to have it like once a week before i deliver... like curry chicken, curry veg, curry fish head (just had over weekend) this weekend maybe have curry chicken...

Talking abt curry i remember tat there was a FM company sending a book title naming ur bb christian name... I read thru under alpha C . I saw a christian name call curry... I was ??? hahaha.. I think my boy will hate me forever if i going to name him tat...

cos his surname in dialet is guay... (sound chicken in hokkien) curry guay... OMG!!!

 
Ladies, fret not. Gynae says it also depends on the length of cord.



Like what Jelly says, could be the turning of bb that causes the cord to coil around during delivery.



I've done some research. If cord is loosely ard the neck, wat gynae can do is to uncoil it when bb's head is just right out, if a bit tight then will cut the cord once the BB's head is out then quickly deliver the BB.



ICA, I didn't ask my gynae abt that though. This thurs will check status of cord again.

That's a heartrate monitor to monitor BB throughout delivery so need not worry too much.

Yvonne: hahaha... my mum every weekend since 2 weeks ago ask me to drink coconut juice... my IL there ah ... no movement... wahahaha... probably my HB say is GAL... but what others say we nvr tell IL so bo chap! if really boy IL side dun think of carrying him so often... boy then treat me better lar... gal then bo chap me... then i bo chap them too...



indeed... giving our bb names got to be careful n sensitive...

I'm asking my hubby to hold a meeting with my BB at night (BB seems to be active n play with hubby when i slp). Ask my hubby tell him what date to what date is wat horoscope & what day is today so BB can plan himself. Haha.. very bored.

no lah, cos previously one of the mummies also mentioned about cord ard bb's neck. So that time i reminded myself to ask gynae to scan for me to see if the cord is ard my boy's neck or not. Then completely forgot abt it till its mentioned in today's post again.

Its the same of me. I having been telling my boy that we have yet to perform the "shift into new house ceremony" yet. Ask him to hold on until then. Then after that, he can come out as and when he is ready..lol..my hubby tot i have gone crazy.

Bee: I heard can but must make sure wound is healed. Not just outside but inside also. My colleagues who do c-sect dun massage they scared.

Make sure she cooks confinement food for you! Btw if we are breastfeeding bb, then cannot take those ginger food/ rice wine right (if baby got jaundice), then we just eat normal food will do right? fish vege etc.

Shouldnt rely on her. Anyway i did employ CL so no issue. As for jaundice, i tot only no ginger? Rice wine should be all right?

 
I guess must make sure the alcohol evaporates first. Everything in moderation even ginger also can eat but don't overdo it lor.

Suntan, same! In my kitchen, one of the cabinet is full of taiwan instant noodles! Spicy beef. hey are u the one who is already 4cm dilated?

Allison did say its best that bb is asleep while doing the shoot so that she can position him/her easily.

 
I asked Allison to come to our house instead. Better that BB is sleeping as Allison has some difficult pose if BB is awake...



DQ -must be within 2 weeks... best to time after last feed...

 

Btw, you mommies going to do massage for your bb? What "lotion" did you use? Also when should we start to do the massage ie how old should the bb be?
