sp_callalily,
I hope I didn't scare you off. My tiring day's not much to do with Nat starting on her solids. More so of her irregular sleeping hours these few days. Well, they have good and bad days. You know, I kinda misunderstood. I thought morning naps would be pushed to 9.30am now, but it isn't till they're 9 mths actually.
So by right, morning naps should still be at 9am. I think eventually, I'll need to push her morning baths to evening baths. I prefer her to bathe in the mornings coz' she can freshen up for the day and then come evening, I'll wash her up. But if I have to latch, prepare breakkie and then bathe her, I doubt I can finish all these for her before 9am. Will see how it pans out. I hope I didn't scare you with sharing my experience.
Unlike other moms here, I've NEVER looked forward to solid stage. Don't get me wrong, I totally enjoy watching her lap up her meals but I do not enjoy the bit where I have to prepare. Personally, I find that the first month of weaning most complex. Coz' there's different purees to try and to add chicken stock etc. I imagine my freezer to be full of stuff man! Subsequently, when she turns 7 months, I hope it's gonna be better coz' I might prepare the food fresh.
As for my SS, it kinda got affected after I flew over here. Not sure if it's because I started taking lesser fish (I find ngor fish back home is very good for milk SS). My mom used to make the ngor fish bone soup for me every few days and it was very effective for me. Fenugreek doesn't seem to work as well. Now that I'm slowly moving her to solids, I think I am not gonna bother much with my milk SS. Plus I intend to slowly introduce FM to her.
You know, Similac Stage 2 is actually quite sweet, as opposed to Stage 1. Not sure if it's a good thing after all.
