Ivy: jus Now I went carrefour n saw four seasons organic corner, did u mention u got the brown rice there? Cos I only see they sell Thai rice... Oh , they sell quite a fair bit of organix brand n also Bellamy brand which my boy likes! Tomorrow I'm gg to let him try egg yolk a bit n also NGOr her fish porridge... My mum say no need add Ginger lei... U all got add?

Pea, I jus told my hb abt ur loanshark prob n he v funny lor! He asked u to engage him to settle it for u. Haha. He sai u shd gt money fr them instead. Haha. He said if u engage him, he profit sharing with u. Hahaha. Then if u wana see them paint the whole block, to paint off the o$p$ oso can. Lol..

Ok, bk to serious business. He said it's fake de. He asked u nt to talk to the runners. They r the ppl who owe loanshark money. Demand to talk to the loanshark himself. Record down the conversation as evidence.

Got a qns, for medela pump bottle, how often do we need to chg? I had not changed my bottle since I started pumping and now already more than 6mths.

Is there any other bottles to recommend beside Nuk and Avent? My gal drinking keep reducing …my PD told me might be the bottles issue and ask me to try to chg the bottle….i suspect she is rejecting bottle coz when latch she always seem so hungry and wan to latch whenever I am ard….

yuki - how abt pigeon btls? I also changed from avent to nuk to pigeon...but i also using nuk btls but pigeon teats lo..my boy seems to like pigeon teats than the rest..i changed since he was 3mths old til now...and still using pigeon teats..

maybe u can try to change the teats but not the btls? I also hv not changed the btls since 2mths (1st mth he was using avent btls)

I think better to change new ones after usage of 6 months and if u are using this daily to feed and sterilise.

im only using medela bottle to contain and store the bm, m using nuk on my boy. he likes the teat rather than avent and bfree. Though i latch him on too.

There are many brands of bottles in market. Beside nuk & avent, you can use bfree, pigeon & etc. But i think most common is nuk & avent brand de. what brand are u using on yr gal?

so far, i never change medela bottles...haha. 1 of them turned yellow so I juz dun use that bottle.

Ivy & other mummies putting babies in ifc: Teacher's day is coming...r u gonna buy presents for teachers at ifc? muz give principal? Im gonna buy for all of the tchers but thinking can dun give principal anot?
 
manunited, i havent tried pigeon btls yet ...so far only changed from avent to nuk and back to avent again, nuk bottle can fit pigeon teats? u using the wide neck nuk bottle ? i am using the normal kind.

i updated liao ... i am only using the bottle to pump and store bm...feeding using nuk and avent at the moment..bfree where to get? i tot of trying pigeon too, shld have gotten during the taka fair ... u stopping bf?

my bottle seem abit blurly at times ..

btw for medela freestyle tubing, do we need to wash to clear dirt inside? i nvr wash at all ..will it affect?
 
mummies, are you still sterilising the milk bottles? Feel like stopping already. Actually PD said can stop once they are on solids.

Did you replace the milk bottles as well? I'm using BPA-free bottles..using the same 4 bottles for a day since Day 1. Time to replace?

i didn't know need to change breastmilk bottles, they still look the same to me.
 
canopy, u tried logging to your email account with the password u have. see if its working.
by right it should works. the blog login is just your [email protected] account and this email password that you had set when u register.

moscato, ya i heard some PD advise to stop steriliing after 6 mths...i rinish with hot water sometimes else normally will just soak the bottle in a pot of boiled water for the day.

i did not replace my milk bottles...time to chg i guess.

May,my breastshield turned yellow too but i still use until it became abit out of shape so chg. i read that for medela , they mentioned it is safe to continue to use ...

Jo, PD was saying that since after 6mths they will be starting on solid food so we also cant sterlise their bowls, spoon, food ...and is good to expose them to some "bateria" to build up their system...
 
May: Mine turned yellow too so I changed them. Medela shields turn yellow v fast so now im using the mumsfairy brand one. Use for quite long still haven turn yellow.

I thnk I will steralise till they turn 1 y.o
 
Genesis: I bought bag hangers for them. heard before? Cheap and practical and I'm gonna do up a note and paste on the box for individual teachers. wat r u gonna get?
 
May, no difference between solids & semi-solids. The rational is what Yuki has mentioned. Since we are not sterilising the utensils we used to prepare their food, so no point sterilising their bottles.

Currently i sterilise all 4 bottles at night. Before each use, i will rinse with hot water again.

genesis: I bought online, from gmarket.com.sg u can go there n take a look. Alot of sellers selling but u muz source for the cheapest which is less than $10 only.
 
May: yup, bag hook. I'm giving 6 teachers, thinking should give principal anot coz i didnt buy for her haha. I bought 1 for myself, if i give principal den I gotta sacrifice mine. hahha. and next wk is teacher's days already so if I order again online, scared wont receive in time....
 
im also still sterilizing the milk bottles.. yah those bowls etc cannot sterilize i will just take extra care to wash it clean..

so actually when should we stop sterilizing?

moscato, actually we sterilize the bowl/spoon etc cos the pigeon can sterilize.. the only things i can't sterilize is the food when we prepare.

hmm.. don't know leh.. since the sterilizer is there, i will jus cont to use till he's 1yr old. The thing is that breastmilk tends to be oily so i feel more at ease when i sterilize the bottles.

i also want to buy the bag hanger, heard online cheaper....like $5-6 can get already?

i still sterilise his btls once a day (in the morning)...but thinking of stopping soon...

yuki....bfree can get from those shopping centres like isetan, etc. its bpa-free de, no need to change so frequently. teat somehow the same as avent type, fei fei de. But i think pigeon is also good.
But i think bf baby will like nuk teat much better cause its much softer.

about bfing, i'm actually drying up. producing lesser and lesser milk now. so no choice got to stop once its gone.

About tubing, i don think can clean leh...the hole so small to push the straw brush in. but its not dirty for mine, so i just leave it.

Im only occasionally sterilising the bottles now. but before making milk, i will use hot water to rinse the bottle and teat 1st.

genesis...i got blocked ducts previously and May enlighten me & tells me wired bra might be the cause. i stop wearing that and it works for me. try and see if this works for you too.

Pea, for baby's clothes, there r small shops along the streets which u can see. For Phoebe, my dad always send the brand miki house (jap brand) n oso Des petits.. The clothes r quite nice..

Talking abt bottle, yar mine turn a bit yellowish too. But change nuk bottles bery ex hor. 20+ per bottle

abbt bottles, i jus chg nia, im using NUK teats since day 1, chg a few times liao, i jus started to get some new BPA pigeon ones w my nuk teat, i got it at the baby fair, trade in liao only less than $10/each... i trade in my old standard bottles which i bought w my steraliser..

i think i wil also ster till bb 1 yr old... ster once a day nia, at night... together w my pump motor, my shields i nvr ster...sometimes use medela clean wipes, or mostly soak in boilin water..
 
shokel, i got my calrose rice (jap rice from aust) from shop & save. My mom got the thai brown rice from lor 4 toa payoh. Four seasons i get the groceries.

Alicia, i intend to get hand cream. I dun intend to give principle cos she not teachers, only the teachers took really good care of enyu. Christmas then i will give principle.
 


today enyu fell down, hit her side of head. I was changing her diaper on the floor, then she pull herself up using the edge of sofa bed, lost balance and fell down, landed side of head. She cry very loudly. Im very hurt, i feel so lousy.
