Ivy, dun feel bad nw as they r more mobile there sure b alot of falls. Jaylen ah...Then the other kids drinkin milk then pull the bottle away. Heard from teacher at IFC tat he pull the other children's hair. Then yesterday he had a scratch at his cheek the teacher say got it when he's playing with other kids... Then last week the teacher said he was moving around then he lost his balance then knock his head lightly... Hai yo.... More mobile more prone to injuries....

Ivy, can understand. I was very heart pain when my no. 1 fell from the bed the first time. Hubby also, he wanted to rush her to KK A&E immediately. We felt very lousy and guilty too and even pointed fingers at each other. But I told him just monitor for vomitting or change in behaviour first. But luckily she is ok lar. End up she fell a few more times before she even turned 1 year old. Once even when ILs were looking after her.

just now i sms the IFC teacher to ask if enyu ok. She reply me "Perfectly ok!" When i bring her to school, they were looking for bumps and redness... and they cannot find... so they console me say its normal, be careful but be prepared once they mobile, more prone to accident. I swear that i will never take for granted lor.

dbl job lor... tupid...
my mum say 1 hr enuff lor... chey...

actually sometimes i look at enyu... i feel she so poor thing. Babies, so fragile, so innocent, so helpless... but also meaning they are most happy now. When we aged, we also dementia, also so fragile, so blur, so helpless... aiyo... i shldnt think too much. Ok think of ikura!

Shokel, if u want to cook the porridge in 1 hr, u got to use HOT water, 1-2hrs on high. I cook from 12am to 6am, cos morning need to bring to IFC mah. I use cold water, so the brown rice slowly soak and boil, morning very soft. Then morning i add in my pre-bake puree pumpkin so the nutrients wont lost. (if cook the pumpkin 12am to 6am, the pumpkin overcook liao)

ivy/jo: wah piangs... my mum la, tell me 1 hr can liao la... ice cream lei... now i so gan cheong.. cookin over fire, think nt in time liao lor.... faint...

can add fish into cereal bor? cos i thaw my fish liaoo...

ice cream is my way of scoldin foul words! hahaha...

okok, i better go settle my dinner.. my boy gg to wake up soooooonnn..

btw, i updated the blog liao...

Josephine, no cos i bought one with auto-shift. I put cold water, The slowcooker auto switch to HIGH to boil. Then after it boil a while, the slowcooker turn to slow cooking, so its slowly cook till rice in the morning, i stir, it will become more soft.

Shokel, u test it again not in the rush lah, u put in HOT water, and turn it to high for 1 hr.

ivy, where u get the slow cooker? i wan to get one too ...else very hard to watch fire or cook esp when my gal hardly sleep
sad.gif

sometime i feel that i am a poor mummy, last weekend porriage all boiled out then end up my gal only got biscuit to eat

Yuki: my porridge also cook until burned coz didnt watch it carefully....end up waste all the cod fish ingredients n my gal cant eat...

me also bad mummy, only feed cereal n bm...haha.

i dint notice that! that was from young parents or mother&baby right? that drypers happy mummy & me contest.. i want to see leh...

Yuki, I m using a cooker for baby porridge. Oso takahi brand. 0.63l.. Usually if cook baby porridge, takes 2 hrs. Bt I jus dump everything in. Convenient. I dun wana watch fire oso. Ltr burnt then bb no food! Lol.. Bought at Harvey Norman..

Looks like most mummies using brown rice to cook porridge. That one takes really long. One way my mum do is after cooking quite long if still think not fine enough throw into blender to blend. Much faster! Me lazy mum usually cook normal rice porridge...:p

Alicia,at least we tried to cook ......haha wat cereal are u giving? my gal alway rejecting cereal
sad.gif

Ivy, thanks ...ya i din cook for so long already ...hubby complain hw cm cook for bb but not him...haha

Ainsley,ya i also want to get the cooker so that can just dump everything in....dun have to watch fire coz my gal nowaday cant leave her sight else she will cry non-stop...will have a look at harvey norman...

GG, must we use brown rice for porridge? i use the normal rice that we take ...is it ok?

Yuki, I also use normal rice. My mum use brown rice. Well brown rice supposed to be more nutritious, but takes damm long to soften lor! Must soak v long and cook v long. So I more lazy use white rice to cook. Babies can burn fast esp now use so much energy so I think the carbo is fine la!

Yuki, I find bellamys and organix cereals (rice cereal, oat porridge, four cereals etc) not bad. I treat them like "porridge", so when no time to cook will steam/blend ingredients like fish and veg and just stir into cereal
happy.gif
Also good variety for bb.

Gg> i also like organix n bellamys... but i haven tried the four grains yet... is the texture the same??

i think i wana try n grind the brown rice so its easier to cook in slow cooker...
