Mummies, my bb is on milk strike Again. The good thing is now his last feed is at 8pm, he can sleep from 9.20pm to 7.20am. But after almost 12 hours since his last feed, he only drank 50ml then dun wana drink leh.. Yesterday whole day he only drink 700ml in total.
Is this ok? Can babies go without milk for 12 hours? Must I bring him go c pd?

Genesis, I remember Jaylen can also sleep looong hours St night. How long does he goes without milk?

Actually initially I Aldo dun wanna work coz I bu she de baby.. But after I returned to work, I actually prefer working.. I am just happy to see baby after work.

I am stopping breastfeeding very soon. Used to pump/ latch 4 times a day, reduced to 3 times then now reduced to 2 times. Dun feel engorge le. Tink can stop very soon le. Actually planned to stop at 6 mths but since ss dropped now, I dun wana increase liao..
 
argh, my baby on milk strike again also. After a month long battle, finally thought we were over this. And yesterday he woke up every hour. Think this time, he might be teething. At least I hope it's teething, then at least I can rationalize his behaviour to myself. =[

yunzz, 700ml for my little one is already considered a good day lor. When he's on milk strike can drink as little as 500ml a day and his milk strike last very long. After 1 month of drinking about 600ml per day, he still managed to put on 300g. So 700ml should be fine lah.
 
I got the Lamaze lion from BP for my bb and he loves it!

These 3 days I am on Microsoft project course.. Get a break from work n can go home early to see my bb coz course end at 5pm!
 
Ryhea, how heavy is your bb?
My baby us about 8kg and used to drink 1000ml a day, so 700ml considered very little..
 
miumiu, at least u can be dishonest.. my meeting always not in my office building.. so cannot play cheat...

morning all....

yunzz, my boy can also zzz from 8p.m to abt 6-7a.m...his last feed is at 7-730p.m...

But when he wakes up in the morning, he will dirnk his usual amt -abt 220ml.....
 
I'm so tired... Enyu wake up every 1 to 2 hrs to play tummy down, how???? Terence n I exhausted she jus does wanna sleep... Midnite leh
 
twinstars, that time i sick, i also feed my bb BM. I ate my medicine immediately after pump and kept drinking lots of fluid...then aft 4hrs pump out again...
 
Hmm guess my baby is quite a bit smaller. Now should be about 6.5 kg. Hopefully our bbs will get over milk strike soon! >.<
 
roxy, then which pd ur bb seeing now? any comments on ur current pd?

miu, yahz.. dr koh is much more patient.. at least when i asked him questions, he will patiently explain to me.. dun make me feel i'm asking stupid qns... BUT, he's on vacation from now till sept!!

so prob i'll bring my bb go see dr vella... btw, really no need to make appt ahz? just drop the health booklet at the tray can le? if yes, then i wont try to keep calling them le..
 
How much is your baby drinking now? My boy is 4.5 months old now and drinks 200ml tbm a feed every 3 to 3.5 hours. Scary leh!! But even though he drinks so much and poos once a day, he is not that heavy leh, about 7.4kg nia.
 
yunzz, my baby also milk strike for a few days previously.. can stretch from 4.30pm to next morning 5am.. wasted a few night feeds, coz i make already then she refused to drink. it should be over in a few days. my girl also seem to decrease her intake.. last time is 120ml.. now she drink 80ml then she stop already, then start to make "boo boo" sound, want to play liao..see already also dunno to laugh or angry..

hmm.. so maybe i will get the lamaze peacock, since so many bbs here like similar stuff..

yunzz, how much u got the lion from the BP?

dunno whether my girl is teething or not, coz now she starts to play with the pacifier, put in her mouth, bite and pull out.. then got the "pok pok" sound when she pull out.. dunno she like to hear the sound or she's teething.. any bb is like that also?
 
calamari urs nt bad oredi... urs at least hit 7kg liao mine oni 5.9kg haven even hit 6. day time he can nap 4h one shot don drink i tink taking 24h max he oni take in 600ml nia. mine prefers sleeping to drinking... may be a blessing to some but i prefers he wakes up more regularly to drink
 
mushloom: hmmm i see..mine can also nap 4h and don't drink but on average its 3.5 hours per feed. What shocks me is his huge appetite. But at night he sleeps through lah, from 1030pm to 8pm. I did read in a website before and also learnt from PD that bb needs at least 750ml of milk a day though. Btw, how is Ivan?
 
ivan he ok la... but my 2 boys down with cough. isaac cough for more than 2 wks liao see 2 pds liao still coughing. may bring him down to see ang ai tin liao.
 
Hi gals, I got bk at wk abt a mth ago, n stop bf last week cos my granny in jb pass away n it's impossible for me to pump regularly at the dirty funeral parlor. Can't bring bb cos he got no passport..... I go back to work that week Icry everyday l left mil hse cos I can only bring him bk on wkends, super sad! Things sucks at wk too! I going to plan to quit in jul when I settle some $ issue.... Can't work well le
 
Cayenne - no nid to make appt la.. That time mi make appt at 10am n mi lich abt there.. N the nurse ask mi to drop the book in basket.. Mi told her I hav made appt n she say all the mummies made appt.. Then the next mummy came oso drop the book in the basket.. Then the next one came n drop the book oso n told nurse she made appt.. The nurse replied the same thing.. So conclusion.. Juz drop the book n get ur no!!

firipy, i'm oso feeling very lousy at work since i'm back from maternity... like lost 'touch' like tt.. not performing as per before le.. sighz.. and somehow i feel tt my boss are expecting me to perform as per before... so i'm feeling really low..
 
mushloom: i brought Kayla to see Ang Ai Tin yesterday due to her viral fever and I must say, her meds always work. But her queue is DAMN LONG!!! We were there at 945am and already no. 21 in the queue! In the end, waited for 3 hours before we could see her... *faint*

calamari, my #1 also used to drink alot.. at 4 mths old, she can drink min 200ml, can go up to abt 250ml per feed... also abt 3-4 hrs interval.. but the IFC teacher told me not good to let them drink too much.. so they try to reduce the amt she drink... but she continue to be on 95 percentile all the way till her final check-up at 2 yrs old.. after that i tink she lost abit weight as she's very active but i'm also glad.. cos dun wan her to be too fat..

but now #2 is the opposite, drink very little abt 150ml per feed.. wan to force her to drink mroe also dun wan.. she prefer play to drinking while #1 is live to drink.. hahah..

Has anyone of you stopped breastfeeding? Or stopped pumping? My SS supply is pathetic ever since i'm back at work; and thought of stopping.
Has yet to intro semi-solid for my bb, what to start with???

Just went to check out 2 childcares near my workplace, quite reasonable but too bad they don't take bb under 18mths.
 
Ainsley after i feed her she dun wanna sleep. Remember yuyu use to be sleeping thru the nite? Seems like after her major illness she dun anymore, dunno wat we did wrong...

Ivy, mayb it takes some time for her To readjust back. She wasn't well n everything was disrupted afterall. Jus stick to ur old schedule. Think she'll b bk to normal v soon.
 
manunited : ya lor, too bz with my work, my colleague has just gone for her maternity leave, she will only be back mid sep, need to cover for her so very tied up. And my temp assistant is hopeless. Needs to check her work, so more job for me. =p

Today's my hubby's birthday, didn't buy any cake for him, just an iphone &amp; LV wallet.

Ivy : needs time for bb to adjust. these days, my bb is making a big fuss each time he wants to sleep.
 
I'm considering the 2 childcares near my workplace, Josiah Montessori, and Rosemary Hall Montessori, anyone heard of these 2 before?
18mths then they will take, but must on waiting list now.
 
Hi ice n cayenne, same with my bosses lo the best is my youngest colleague who Saka boss is gonna promote.... I wanna quit...... Sad. My performance review is really bad last yr n I got no bonus... Tis yr when I m bk expect me to perform better..... Sibei sian, I wasn't being updated n retrain n expect me to continue to wk like better.... Sigh
 
Ainsley : I think they have a branch in East point. The one i'm looking at is at Millenia Walk. Not sure whether it is exp. What is the average cost of a childcare? Full day from 7am to 7pm is SGD1,192.65 nett after the govt subsidy of 300. I thought we have govt subsidy of 600???

For RoseMary Hall @ Marina Mandarin Hotel, full day (8.30 to 6pm) is SGD1500, but my co got corporate rate of 15% discount. But not sure if i can have the govt subsidy for this.

Can someone advise me whether we can have govt subsidy of 300 or 600 for working mums???

canopyhaze, my girl is in infant care, for infant care, got $600 from goverment. Not sure is it the same for child care leh.

Ainsley, canopy, i very evil leh, durign midnight i feel like slapping her leh, im so tired... shoulder ache, seems a bit running nose, n she dun wanna sleep. I can't figure out whats wrong.

Long time no post liao. In Cambodia now. Sian. Have to be here for 5 days this round. Miss my 2 boys like crazy.

Canopyhaze, ifc subsidy is 600. CC one is lesser. Think its abt 300 or so.

Ivy. I quite like lamaze toys. Quality good and very bright colour. My boys quite like it.
 
jaclee - i heard joshiah is really gd and yes long waiting list. $300 is the subsidy for childcard. $600 is the subsidy for infantcare.

First time, I see a guy talking about his mother.. and I felt so strong that he really missed her.. sigh..

So, do cherish whatever you have now ya..

Ladies, back from JL sales, didn't buy anything as the queue was very long. Will go again tomorrow or thursday (Last Day), need to go home and take stock of what is short.


Wei Ting : yup, am working near marina. Am at Raffles Link. The building with the big water wheel. Sure, next time we can go lunch, what's your lunch hr and where is your office??? mine is 12 to 2pm.

Thanks all for the clarification on the govt subsidy. Anyone knows if there's any IFC near marina area?
