so tired today. Last night my gal kept waking up for milk. I think she's having a growth spurt now, she's 16 weeks old now.

somemore, today so busy at work. haven't got time to get myself a drink the whole morning.

can drink coffee/tea, limit yourself to max 1 or 2 cups a day.

i also will make 'ng ng'to my girl to make her poo at times. She laughs at me instead. But works sometimes.
i can't wait for Baby Faith's head to stable then put her in the bumbo seat. Every child seated on that chair looks so lovely.

Back to work only 1 day n MC liao shit man, am very sick with flu cough slight fever no medicine to take how to recover,

icic, when bottle feed try to get other pple to do it, n DO NOT keep changing teats, confuse bb further, consistent n persistent is the way.

being a mummy is really not easy! i feel so mentally and physically exhausted.. but everytime when he smiles at me, my heart melts and haiz I will tell myself bite my teeth and be strong again...

Cos.. bb should sleep thru by then.. but only thing is teething.. may start soon.. so another sleepless nights for some..
 
mummies, how to let bb learn to slp on his own?
Mine always 1 2 carry him till he fell asleep in my arm then can put him on his cot. But sometimes eyes wide open when place him on cot then hv to restart again. so... tired

hello mummies... very long nv log in. been very busy and tiring!!!!! i still haven fully recover. this time round really sick till super jialat.

last thur my boy flip on his own and held his head high. wahahha. wad a surprise on a april fool morning..

i brought him out for brunch on good friday and next morning he got fever! wah lau.. went to nam seng again. now got cough, ALOT of phlegm plus flu. gotta dilute his milk and he keep waking up at night for milk cuz not filling. then doc say ask me not to bring him out cuz too young.. wah lau.. TMD.. so far since his birth i think i only brought him out not more then 5x. and he lost weight too..

Mummies who had brought the LG mat, what's the recomended size huh??? I c until abit blur leh... Btw I check out the one from mini toons too... It's stated LG parklon mat too but the dimension abit different from what I saw from the BP thread leh, wonder is it the same?? Any mummies brought brought mini toons? Cause member got discount so in fact is cheaper than getting it from BP ...

Lynn: i used to do that too and i dreaded his sleeping time cuz so tiring &amp; was so tensed when putting him down.

Now i put him down when i sense that he's tired and pop pacifier in his mouth... he associates paci with sleep so he'll suck till he zzz. But not always so ez lah. sometimes he's overtired and cranky so i'll rock/pat him for abt 5 minutes till he's drowsy (not yet sleeping) then i put him down. Try different ways la.. you'll find some that suit you n bb.. jia you!!

Previously he was on Friso lor. So PD suggests to switch and can see got improvement. Before switch, while drinking he seems to gasp for more air and alot of noise when sucking lor. Maybe he got everything at that time like blocked nose, cough and phelgmy lor :D
 
1xmummy, so qiao!!! Same block as my mum. I always bring my no. 1 to the playground to play on sun evening. Next time can meet there lar. ;)

My gal is taking Friso too... i also realised more phlegm but she not on total FM so still ok... but i realised when i bring her out and she have to be on more FM, she will cough out phlegm... Anyway i intend to switch to other brand when she's turned 6mths
 
I am getting a bit worried. My boy is 3 months 3.5 weeks but still cannot flip leh. He seems contented just lying on the playmat. I have stopped putting him on the bouncer liao as its quite restrictive and probably caused him to be lazy + flat head :p
 
Hm.. my #1.. was on Friso.. before.. I find it very light and nice smell ne.. and ok for him..

But after I change over cos there was once it was OOS.. and I can't get it anywhere.. so quickly change to other brand...
 
calamari, you got give him tummy time? if he got attempt to flip to the side, help him to flip over. but must make sure his arms got strength to support his neck and head.

that time my boy also lazy, and he can only flip to the side. so i give him more tummy time and he likes it. slowly he'll learn to flip his butt over then his hand kenna 'kiap'. so i help him and teach him how to position his hand. few days later he can do it himself liao.

jeanie: I think i didnt give him enough tummy time. In fact hubby and I feel a abit bad cos when we were at home with the kids, our attention is mostly on no.1 and just left our boy on the bouncer or on the playmat.

Cos no.1 is now 2 years old and demands a lot of attention. So now that hubby and i are back to work, my mom is giving him as much tummy time as possible. He can support himself with his arms on the mat, holding neck and head high, but cannot flip by himself. I recalled my girl could do that at 3 months already. Perhaps my girl is lighter at that age? :p
 
lynn, u can give your bb pacifier or pat bb to sleep instead of carrying him. for a start u can carry bb until bb is about to fall alseep then put bb down and pat him to sleep. gradually, u will juz need to pat bb to sleep...for me, i juz give my bb pacifier and he can fall asleep himself.

I use Friso too, but long time never give baby already cos my BM enough for her. Intend to give her after i wean her off breastmilk.
But mummies, did the PD say the milk powder caused the phlegm?

calamari, some say lighter babies flip faster? ask ur mum to teach him.. try to flip him over instead of just putting him on his tummy. cuz since he can hold his head, very fast le.

i like the chinese words "En" and "Xuan". But MIL says "En" cannot use, so have to use "Xuan" lor
 
for those SAHM, how do u cope with objections and snide remarks from family/friends and society?

even my mum kept saying WASTE WASTE WASTE. until i'm so pek chek. then the other day overheard my HR saying the same damn thing.. somemore she's married without kids, not v fair for her to comment..

honestly i cant see it working out, with my hubby's work travelling going to increase, and we have no car, and the madness of rushing here and there.. my poor baby was so tired after such a long day.. and we parents has dinner at 10pm!! and that's only firs day at work pretty much din hav much work to do!! my mum thinks its so easy lik tt..
 
calamari mine also havent flip yet , she always arch her body like a u shape then will stop.. dont know whether is lazy or just cannot flip.. if put her on tummy time, she can lift up her head for a while then come down then lift up again like doing mini push up but i scared her nose flatten cos her face will flaten on mat..so i dont give her long tummy time
 
anyone encountered new challenge in changing baby? if he is not trying to flip while changing, he's trying to grab his toes.. faint.. but so ke ai.. :D
 

sandy, my baby only flipped at 18 weeks.. then after 19th week, keep flipping then complain, flip him back to back, he goes to flip himself in less than a min again.. then complain.. aiyoh..

can see his signal of flipping, he'd put both hands together after stretching them out then turn.. so funny.. it's like he's found his technique.. :D
