icic dun stress. it will affect ur baby's mood too. some pds like to exaggerate one so dun worry too much. or baby old enough to take sippy cup anot? think u can try all sorts of ways to get the milk into his mouth. after wong boh boi oso cannot get her son to take bottles. her father still fetch the boy to the hospital to ask her to latch on loh.

ainsley u dun worry. after this period where she dun suckle to sleep or for comfort, u will find ur supply going up. my boy used to do that during one time period. i thot he going to drain my neh neh to just flaps only lo. couldnt feel any milk inside too but he happily zuking. only when got once i v tired think not enuf milk then he cried at the boob..

hey all mummies.. mi juz brot bb to 4th mth assessment... now he is 6-6kg liao.. heavy huh!! hee!! but onli 65cm.. hee!!
 
icic, dun give up. U can ask my hubby terence, we had a hard time introducing bottle. U only need to take 3 days leave to train ur son bottle if u really want to, if not just get ur MIL to keep trying bottle, spoon feed is too slow and is not helping ur baby, he is just snacking to tong till u latch him. My pd say bb wont let themselves go hungry, they only hunger strike to fight with us, after that they will give in and take the bottle somehow. My hubby try for 1 week before she can anytime take bottle, 1st 3 days was toughest, i was crying when my girl cry cos dun want bottle. Terence very persistant, he say wait she go infant care worst, so got to be hard-hearted now. Now anytime i latch, anytime i bottle, she just take.

When u introduce bottle, make sure ur 1st feed is always bottle, evening when u come home then u latch. If u can be hardhearted, dun latch at all for at least 2 days. U see the scenario now - he take a bit milk from the spoon, its a long time solution before he takes cereal but he may not gain weight for now. Or u want to let him suffer for at most 3 days, and from then on till 6mths, he can take bottle and gain weight better?? By right 6mths is better for solid food as earlier sometimes worry baby got allergies.

icic... wat is marcus wt now? dun be stressed k? my no1 oso super skinny... only 6pluskg at 9mths, while his peers were already 7kg at 4-5mths le... i oso super stressed then but he managed to catch up n im sure marcus will also...
 
weiting, juz to check if ur friend manage to help to get the boots bag? Left wif 1 last pkt le n will finish by end of the wk. Icic, dun stress. My boy refuse to take bottle fm me at times also. Siao siao one. But nanny feed then ok. Hv to be persistent. Me now everynite waste abt 150ml of ebm. Cos fight to feed him but he scream n scream till i pour away. But i still gv him bottle everynite for last feed without fail. If gd mood then he drink loh. Sigh hope i can hv a gdnite rest. Hv phobia when nite comes nowadays. Really felt scared n stress.

thanks for the encouragement...i will try to cheer up.. i was crying to hubby just now cos really feel so sorry looking at him coughing n refusing to drink milk.

marcus weight is ard 5.9kg now. only put on 400g for past one month..

i think i have tried alot of methods liao.. tried nuk teats, both rubber and silicone. trie different bottles also. tried cups all he just keep on crying.. he only drinks from bottle when he is super hungry and latch ferociously when i reach back home..

this has been gg on for 3 weeks already and he is still having a battle with me!! really dont know what to do!! haiz... sometimes he even refuses to latch.. just keep on lookin ard here and there.. sounded like a nursing strike right?!

ivy, thks for the suggestion. I will probably try to total bottle feed him for a while. actually that time i went bali, he was using bottle all the way for the 5 days and he lost some weight! haiz....

i din know wong boi boi son also has problem with bottles haha..

ya.. icic.. jia you... when you bottlefeed.. try not to feed yourself.. let others feed. cos when bb smell you. will tend want to latch... so won't want bottle..

icicle, poor thing, you must be very sad to hear the PD say that. Aiyoh, mine also rejecting bottle from time to time cos I usually latch on. But your boy very persistent leh, 3 weeks already, still like that 'bu si xin'. :p

my daughter also refuse bottle feed when she turned 2 months, i boh bian can only feed her when she is sleeping (dreamfeed) its only when she is 1yo then she started taking bottle with eyes open. dun worry it will improve when begin to take cereal or porridge.

Bb Faith drools n likes to munch her hands too. She has sweaty hands n legs. I still let her wear mittens n booties,fear she scratch her face n her feet often cold.
She can turn sideways but cannot flip her own yet leh.. She dunno where to place her arms! Haha..

Shucks! My milk bag leaking too. Lost at least 60ml of milk. Is it because I stored too much and it expanded until it burst? What is max amt to store for milk bags? :p

Mummies who has been back to work, still BF and looking after bb yourself, do you find it too tiring and losing concentration?

Tis is my 2nd week of work and I was so tired and can't concentrate. Yesterday was the worst, kept falling asleep.

Wonder how long can i survive

My boy also not interested in milk.. he even 'puuus' his milk out or lets it flow out if i force. and of cuz cry like crazy like my milk's poison. very trying..

For me, i'm feeding ebm exclusively. so when he's kinda sleepy, i'll trick him to drink by letting him suck on pacifier. when he's happily sucking i'll pull it off and quickly replace with teat. usually can get him to finish so milk not wasted.

Strange for their milk strikes.. i thot 3 mths is growth spurt??

Wow my baby last feed at 12am, slept at 1.30am until 8.30am! So hapi!! It's been a loong loong time since I had 7hrs of sleep!

new brand of rota vaccination has 3 jabs (previously only 2 jabs for my #1) = got to pay more!

weiting : u can try using a cotton bud to tickle ur boy's anus.. jus outside of the rim to stimulate.. dun go inside ah.. hope that will help him poo poo

FTWM: It indeed is tiring esp when we have to get up at night for baby. Initially will not enugh sleep. But now, i kinda got over it liao, prob the body used to it.
And cos bf, so i stay away from kopi and tea. So all the more need to stay focused at work without help of caffine. I drink chicken essence lor.
Yes, pumping time is gd time to rest and get away from work (but can also be very disruptive). I pump twice, once b4 lunch and once b4 knock off.
I will look at Baby Faith's photo during pumping and its the time i feel link with her even thou we are miles apart..
Look forward to go work when i am at home; look forward to go home when i am at work. Tot of baby kept me going lor..then the day will pass faster =P

I tot will slim down after i go back to work.. but instead i gain weight cos i kept snacking to keep myself on my feet. HAHA...

1xmummy, u mean bf cannot drink tea or coffee at all? I have been drinking a small cup every morning during working days...or else my eyes will close man!
 
Joanna, juz relax lor wat to do, i also wanna fall asleep whenever i see my bed lol...

but lucky my no 1 wake up quite late de unless on sch day then have to drag him up.

Luwen - you so cute le , this method will help bb poo poo ar, sometime my gal never poo for 3 day then my mil go " ng ng " her .

I also gt drink coffee tea leh but think small amount only should be ok de.

Just back from a mtg....

I have no chance to play with bb now that I m back to work.. cos by the time I reach home.. she is sound asleep le.. and can't bear to wake her up... Only days will be weekend le..

1xmummy... actually 1 cup of coffee/tea should be ok.. I need at least 1cup to peak me.. if not super tire.. will still want to Zzz.. even after drinking..

Me lagi tire.. cos #2 sick.. and keep on waking up in the middle of nightz.. crying.. sigh.. Now my turn to fall sick...
