how to overcome bb latchin to sleep ah? i wont be latching my bb totally after i rtn to work lei... worse is she dont want take pacifier n sleep must suckle before sleep

My EDD is in Mid May or might be earlier. Frantically looking for a confinement nanny now.
Can i have some recommendation from u for really good one base on this recent experience?
Pls PM me.
Preferably pro-breastfeeding &amp; keeping up-to date child caring methods.

Got bad experience with last Msian confinement nanny who used my elect &amp; water as if in kampong &amp; don cook very well;
painted her fingernails in the baby room... *roll eyes*

Roxy - tat means if usu for 3hrly, u can pump 150ml.. For 6hrs gap, u can get 300ml? So the ave output per hour is same at 50ml? If so, tat's gd. I always tot it wld be a bell curve... Thus ultimately the output per hour is getting lesser and lesser :mad:
 
miumiu, looks like we r still the same. One closing n one opening. Bb up for milk so early today instead of 3 plus 4am. Maybe i hv to join u later in the sunrise club. Sigh. Still very inconsistent till now. How?
 
Jus finished feeding. Last fed her at 9.30 n fell aslp at 10. Woke up ard 3. Nw she slping again. Tonight consider nt bad..

mtdt... yes its wat i aim for.. sometimes dun hit but off target by overall maybe 20 - 30ml esp if 8 hrs :p but more or less there.. so i stick to it as lazy to pump so often....u can try this method of pumping also.. wun need to pump n sterilise so often...saves time

Maybe becos I latch first.. So also deps how much the prince drinks.
 
hello sunrise!!! my baby woke up 4plus.. i fed but i think got lumps she not happy... 5plus woke up again.. Hubby say i think she want to eat leh.. wah liao pump right breast finish only. I say ok i give her left breast with lumps see if she can clear it..

ENd up mini-lock-kiah cannot clear, Mdm Lock-Kiah also cannot clear.. think must call mdm Rokiah liao.

Ainsley got to support when pull, arbo shoulder quite pain leh. Baby will fuss when i put her inside.. i think my baby bjorn she like better, except bit hot.

Understand that 6-in-1 jab to be done at 6-8wks but is it ok 2 do it after 8wks - maybe 8-9wks instead ?

Btw, 4 post-natal massage, do u think still advisable 2 do after 6wks if c-sect case ? If yes, how long aft massage then can bath ?

wei ting : I also cant squat so ask my MIL/HB (on wkends) to help bath bb but we bath her by putting her bath tub on top of the toilet bowl &amp; sit on a stool.
 
Mummies, do u ladies continue to give BM when u're sick? Am sick, down with flu, doctor gave me the yellow pill for flu but realised my flu got worse today with phelgm so have am uncertain now to continue bf or not leh!! Any advice?
 
Ivy, mine clear alr. Took a few days bt my girl managed to clear it. Just let her latch more on tat side.

Sharon, can feed. Actually our body takes the blood n transform them into bm. So nomal sickness wun affect bm. Instead, we will pass the antibodies to them. Bt jus becareful of airborne transmission lo. For us, we wear mask if sick.
For flu, take more vitamin c n drink plenty of water.

those bb under tbf their poo poo still watery? Mine still watery and I wonder okie or not.

Btw my bb went to GP for 6 in 1 jab, she only take my bb's weight, never take height. N in the health booklet, there is a 4 to 6 weeks assessment. That portion is filled in by parents or doctor?

my #2 is sleeping later n later. nowadays 11+ still eye big big, don wanna sleep and wanna be carried.
 
this is mdm Lock-kiah reporting... what a lump!!! Was talking to Ainsley abt getting my girl to suck out the lump, so after terence bottle feed, my dear mini-lock-kiah still crying so i tot ok lah, let her suck.. suck suck suck.. no use.. (remember pauline say find the eye), also cannot find, dunno where is the opening of block.. let my bb suck some more. She stop want to give up too haha, so i give her the other breast and start looking at my left breast like my eyes got microscope.. ar.. i tink i saw a white dot deep inside.. not very sure.. use tweezer cannot, white dot too deep. Ok need needle but cannot move cos she still drinking right breast..wait &amp; wait.. finally she finish and i still got to coax her to sleep, lie her down on side and pat her, pretend to sleep cos she will peep at me one. zzz she slept.

I went to take needle and poke poke at the "eye", i hope i guess it right, ohh transparent liquid come out, confirm shld be lah.. press to push the white dot to surface, more obvious liao, use needle to twinge it.. come out some more, use tweezer to pull out some white slimy thing.. still there, use needle again.. finally!!! a tiny white solid come out, measurement, 0.005mm maybe haha, its a dot lah. Quickly compress, transparent foremilk spray out, after pressing no more lumps.. *report finish*

* must thank mini-lock-kiah for bring it up to much near surface for mommy to spot it*
(terence if u think sayang sia, shld pump it to keep.. i didnt cos too tired liao, and i think too much foremilk also no good, the EBM will not be balance of foremilk &amp; hindmilk)

mummies juz wondering, I did 2nd hep b jab for my boy during his first mth... that means I can't take 6 in 1 is it? I was told to take 5 in 1 during his 3rd mth then do full assessment correct anot ah?? I'm kinda confuse here
 
My girl 3 days nv poo. Poo 2 times today alr. Bt fart vvv smelly. Reali power. Can diffuse thru her diaper, pants n swaddle n still so smelly. Faint

PD juz called and my girl is fine. Ultrasound show that they alot of gas in the intestine and discover that one of the kidney is bigger than the other. But she said tey nthing to worry cause the size is still within the normal range.

The ultrasound was schedule at 4pm n i last feed her at 1pm hopping that she dun wake up for milk cause she was suppose to fast for 3hrs. We reach Mt.E early and scanned earlier since bb still sleeping. End up, by 3.45pm... she was awake and 15mins later she start screaming for milk. The sonographer allow us to juz give plain water while she contain to scan but she was crying badly already. Than she can't see the gall ball clearly so went to get the doc in. By than, she was screaming and tearing down the whole room with her face all red. Everyone outside can hear and when we finally give her the milk, she refuse n continue to tear down the room. Took quite smtime of coaxing before she quite down and another 15 mins of coaxing before she finally willing to drink her milk.

Ainsley, sent her to TMC for hearing test and was conducted my Ann. She didn't allow us to follow her to the room and when she came, she behave like quite YaYa and impatient. Thks gdness, my girl was sleeping and therefore Ann was very pleased.
 
Joanna, wat a bad experience for the scan. Bt lucky everything is fine.

I think cos my bb was crying n I jus coax her to slp tats y she allowed us in bah. She gave me the Tmc swaddle somemore. Bt I still dun like her. Lol
 
Been torture by my girl since late morning. She refuse to sleep on her own and want to be carry. The moment u put her dwn, she will cry n cry and cry. And this went on till about 9.30pm. End up, she spent most of the time sleeping on top of me during the afternn and i couldn't even do anything. Express of milk was delay n delay n delay.
 
joanna, u try put your gal in rocker then put her somewhere spacious n airy? previously my boy also like tat then now day time i will put him on rocker in living room he will sleep liao

Genesis, we did but she juz continue to cry till her face turn red if we don't pick her up. She simply juz want to sleep w me or my mum cuddling her in our arms. And the same thing is happening again tis morning. Luckily, took only 30 mins n finally coax her to sleep on the bed
 
Roxy, Ivy, I used the MIM sarong just now. I find it not bad.. Not difficult to pull leh.. She was able to sleep in it. Think should be quite comfy bah. lol..
 
josephine, I bought mine at mums and babes. But a lot of place selling also.. It is stated that can be used till 3 years old..

hi all, forgot to ask u all, if ur breast is soft the whole day, does that means its nt full with milk? cos if no feelin of heavy and engorged means ss has dropped ma? cos nw my bb is feedin at every 2 hrs interval and he can suck from 15-40mins each breast, so i was thinkin isit my ss has dropped, hw come he sucked so long stil nt full? n last time i used to feel engorged after a few hrs, but nw hardly lei..

erm, i am drinkin the sacred tea liao lei.. today 2nd day, but stil no engorged feelin? isit becos im latchin full day? only give FM at night once nia..? but i do experienced leakin la...

btw, ive extra boots milkbag BNIB to sell, anyone needs extra ? cos i stock up too much liao.. tks..

and also, i gettin fed up tryin to try on the MIM sling lor.. really thinkin of sellin away and get a carrier instead.. hw come see pp use machiam super easy one.. haiz...

tomolo my bb is one mth old!!! finally! btw,those mum that nvr shave off bb head stil got trim a little hair ma? jus for show show la.. cos i dun intend to shave my bb hair although his hair is very little... hah a..

and also hor, wana ask u all, when u all stopped lettin ur bb wear mittens and booties arh? eg at home, after 1 mth, no need wear mittens and booties? only slp then let them wear mittens cos scared they kana their own face? no need booties right?

then wat abt gg out? no need mittens? jus wear booties or totally dun wear? even nt gg a/c places? any advise?
 
hi all, been a silent reader all this while. salute bf mums. its not easy. i am trying, but supply is pathetic, so i usu feed baby fm also. (she doesnt sleep if she is not full)(btw, am a dec mum too, had my baby on 17 dec)
 
hi jospehine, i can sell my mim sling to u if u wana, mine is sateen grey colour.. haven used outside before, jus tried using once at home wit bb, but bb dun seem to like ... i bought mine at kiddly palace for $48.. comes with dvd instructions..
 
shokel, breast soft doesnt mean no milk, breast engorge means flow store too long, too much. Each breast 20mins is normal, max 30 bah.. 40 each breast bit long leh. He suckle got on and off? or suckle very fast and hard? Cos slow flow baby will suckle on and off and no effort like tat.

I also give up mim sarong sling. Oh full month i only trim a bit of hair, never shave.

I din stop wearing mittens and booties totally, go out i will wear cos scare cold. At home usually noting but i will make sure i dun let her over scratch her face. If colic and i rub some ruyi oil on her feet, then i put booties.. Mittens i usually try to wear less so can let her train her fingers. MOstly when she sleep at night, cos she scratch i might not know im sleeping too hehe.

Shan, BF is tough.. i always want to give up... but still trying.
 
twinstars the assessment got 2 parts rite? one is for caregiver n the other is for doc. my boy sometimes the stool is watery n sometimes seedy.
 
Jo, roxy post a link regarding babies spine. The article said tat this is a gd position n support for babies instead of those carriers / pram. Tats y I went to buy it ytd. Lol
 
Josephine : Huh?? Dont scared me wor.. I nv give her medi wor. Doc ask me use the phelgm pump to pump out the pheglm. Better dont give them medi too small le. I only use spray for her nose.
 
taking fenugreek, supply seem abit better, but still too little for baby. my gynae say drink more milk to get more supply. i wonder if it works..
 


canopyhaze - i am hoping my wound recover fast fast so that at least i can try to bathe baby all by myself these few days.. now also same same, assisting either my mummy or my hubby while they bathe.. your bb how old le, can turn his body upright liao ah? mine still cannot, always struggle and cry for help when he needs to turn over..

miumiu - yeah me also talking more to my bb, at times he will smile and chuckle out loud, so funny!
