ss better now, ive froze a few pkts of milk inside fridge in preparation for my bali trip next mth....but now cause she not drinking alot...next time is her intake increase then sure not enuff... hows ur ss now? shld be ok n stable le hor?

btw kiddypalace now selling avent nipple cream at only $15.40 now usual price is $22... i bought 1, helps to save my sore cracked n bleeding nipples...

miumiu, by right after each feed, u must pump out excess BM and empty ur breast... as baby quite young now might not be able to empty ur breast... if after bf, u still feel ur breast full n engorged,pls pump milk out... if not over time, ss might decrease if u dun empty ur breasts every 2-3hrs... night time i pump, and daytime i latch to stimulate ss n clear engorgement...
when ur breasts are emptied of BM, they feel soft and bouncy, n no lumps inside like our normal breasts if still rock hard, means inside still got BM, its dificult to clear all.. but i just pump after each feed n try my best

hi all... i intend to BF after i deliver.. but i dint buy any pump lei.. cos i intend to full latching... if as u mentioned, stil got BM after bb latch, can i jus use my hand and pump out the milk bor?
cos i also nvr buy any storage bags to store the milk cos my fridge is full of my mum's stuff(raw food) and all.. so definately no space and i dun intend to buy another sep freezer for the milk...

So, rested and took a long nap this afternoon..
Abit of tightening but still on pills.. so I guess should be ok..

Now all mummies start posting in the might night liao cos of feeding bb changing diapers ect. Jia you wor. Me also becoming panda liao, my bb wake up 2 time per midnight for feeding.

Miumiu, me finally back home but a lot of adjustments. BFing Raelynn but she didn't poo and pee much so a bit worried. Think I saw some transitional milk just now. Hope that means I'll have more milk and she can drink more and poo & pee tomorrow. RaeAnne only slept at 11pm cos she's too excited about the changes in the house. Expected also lar, new baby plus new CL.

yes, can hand express... i find hand express clears engirgement easier than pump, but end up hand sure pain n breast might be bruised....ive got maclaren too, but though mine can use from nb onwards... i find the angle already too high, so u better dun try for urs in case no good for bb...

miumiu, actually if you are able to direct latch w.o your baby fussing, just continue and not necessary to pump out to 'see' how much bb is drinking, at least for the early weeks. However you do need to monitor the pee/ poo once all the meconium has been expelled.

just squeeze out abit and smear over yr nipples after baby is done nursing or finish pumping and best is, no chemicals at all! Mornin mummies!!! Doing my mornin feedings nw.... Awaken by my little prince loud cries...cl told me he actually poo poo alot until his clothes is dirty until change a new whole set, so happy n relieve to hear tat ... Will continue to perserve for bf!! The rest of mummies jiayou!! =)

Thank you for your concern.... went back to rest after posting.. cos the giddiness suddenly came back again...
Not too sure.. was walking around.. cos still need to buy detergent to wash bb clothes... and dry shampoo.. and some other stuff.. suddenyl the whole head is spinning.. can feel.. that I am turning cold.. and knocking out soon...
Wetclouds.. lucky hb is with me... so we quickly find a place so that I can sit down and rest.. and I felt much better...
Me still haven't packed hospital bag.. and washed bb clothes.. and other stuff.. need to do these few days le.. still kana strain out by #2... liao hehehe...

Genesis, me too, bb poo twice at 3+am and 6+am. I fed her twice in the middle of the night. More relieved now.

pretty common for nb to latch on soo long, it seems endless..good luck and preserverance for total breastfeeding...

experienced that for my number 2, don't know what he wants..gave him FM also not satisfied...ended up carrying him or i let him cry for awhile then i pick him up again...

genesis, NBs can cry for alot of reasons, does not necessarily mean they are hungry. After being so cozy in the womb for so many mths, being outside is quite a scary feeling for them; many like to be held and carried close to mummy or daddy in a pouch or sling as that gives them a womb-like feeling. Ainsley: can still latch on when you're sick with flu or sore throat, but sometimes you may have to take medicine or do a medical procedure that will not allow you to nurse baby, so basically have some EBM for just in case situations. Then if you're worried about freshness just keep recycling the frozen ebm to ensure that it doesn't get too old.
