seriously, i nv feel much pain while sleeping. maybe cuz im a deep sleeper. from last time my mum always nag say if house kenna fire i also wont wake up. now i scare if baby cry i also wont wake up..

I am a working mummy.. so when I reach home.. most of my time will be on them... and weekend will be full time..

I wouldn't say hb not spending time with them.. but of course.. cos I am ard.. so he will depend on me lor... but he does help out.. he will bath them.. and feed them..

Juz now think my gal behavior change due to bb ba... he oso can't help it.. and I did pre-warn him le.. cos left one week to go.. he said if I am not ard.. think won't be so bad.. only when I am ard... #2 will look for me.. faintz...
 
Thanks Sandy. Yup, 1st time mummy. Think it will be a while more b4 i dare to think abt the 2nd one. Scary leh. Btw so funny, on the first day of discharge, my mil + hubby + me , 3 adults cannot handle one bb's demand. He simply wants his milk when he is hungry! Cannot wait at all! Faintz

have a question for mummies who delivered at KKH. did KKH provide receiving blanket to swaddle baby when discharged?

week37 now.. so ganchiong seeing so many mummies popping.. trying to slowly pack my hospital bag now.
 
mummyfoo: Friso is okay, just don't get the wrong one like I did. The hospital has Friso GOLD but the one I bought was Friso COMFORT which is for constipated or colicky babies.....maybe that was why my baby kept passing motion and I changed to Similac instead. Hopefullymy milk supply will increase soon so that I can feed baby with only breastmilk. My 6 year old son is also waiting for my milk (!) but I told him to wait till mummy has enough for meimei first! haha

Okie, time to express milk!

Just to share, my silly hb hor, replied "My wife is pumping her cow's milk" ("niu nai" in Mandarin) one say when the CL asked him what I was doing. I had to remind him that I am not a cow........-_-
 
argh...talking abt mooing... i still can't express much milk. Think at most 2 teaspoon. It's really pathetic.

Fitti, i also supplementing my son with Similac now. But hubby n I realised it's the most expensive infant formulae now. More ex than Enfalac

Anyone has kid contracting HFMD before? How long will it takes to recover?
Very scared as my #2 will be induce on 9th Dec or C Sect by 14th Dec...
 
snow_xue... need to be very patience esp since 1st time mummy.. cos lack of experience..

I was not able to succeed in BF my #1 too cos inexperience and stress by him... he is too impatience and couldn't latch on properly.. so I resort to pump.. and after 3M.. I gave up..

My #2.. was much much better.. latch on directly.. and manage to TBF for 4M and then Partial BF for 1year + which to me was an achievement :) and I am really proud hahahaha...

My boy has HFMD before 2 yrs ago. But not the serious type. Think he took about 1 week to recover if my memory didn't fail me. Your child is recovering already right? Think by 9 Dec, should have completely recover liao.
Oh, your #2 also going to be induced? I am going to induce on this Saturday too.

My boy case is quite serious, was admitted into hospital for high fever, do not want to eat nor drink and has to be put on drip. He was only discharge yesterday. Last night went to PD clinic as he started having fever and running nose again. PD afraid HFMD might lead to Bronchitis as there were some whizzng sound in his chest..

My gynae wants to induce me by 9th Dec if my #2 turns head down... she is now in breech condition. If not, will be going for C sect on 14th Dec

So frustrating and tired this week..
 
Thanks calamari &amp; sandy. But bb Zan had caused my sore nipples &amp; bleeding liao. Luckily i quickly apply the cream n recovered by the next day. So i trying pumping when sore but latching when ok. But BB refused to suck unless he is given forumlae 1st

GG, did u give birth on 24 Nov? cos' Dr Wong suppose to visit me on 24 Nov morning, but she has a delivery in the morning, so she changed to afternoon....wonder if that is you!...heheehee

Congrats on your little prince...yes, seeing our little ones after 9months really makes you feel everything is worth!
 
Hi originbaby, when I signed the package, KKH told me to bring receiving blacket and discharge clothes for bb as they dun provide...

U r under John Tee? Is he good? My gynae going oversea and he told me John Tee will be covering him for 2 weeks ...

Are u in Jan brides thread previously? I found your nick familiar..

I heard a lot ppl saying that induce very high chance may lead to emerg-csect but now sure if it is true....

I think we are using the same gynae. Dr Benjamin Tham right? Dr Tham is going overseas conference next week and I would prefer him to deliver for me rather than his covering, John Tee, whom I have never seen before. Ya, heard that induce may lead to emergency C sect but also heard that the chance of c sect is higher if bb is not ready yet. According to Dr Tham, my bb is ready, just need to hv a bit of 'help' to come out. I am actually quite scared. Hope won't end up c sect.
 
mummyfel, didn't have time to check net until now so didn't answer your question. My PD said as long as the mouth still has ulcer, we are still infectious. But if you keep no. 1 and no. 2 separate, should be ok for the first few days when you are in hosp bah.

Congrats to Miumiu and canopy. I'm still waiting. :p

The last time, he told me he wun do induce unless medical reason so it was good that he gave u a choice

Oh, he told u he on leave? Heard from a colleague who is also seeing him that he is going on an overseas conf leh. Anyway, he told me he will not be around from 6-16 Dec.
He also schedule me once every 3 weeks until 36 weeks. After that (37, 38) is weekly.
When r u due?

Jo, when my bag burst, I called gynae and confirmed can bath, wash hair before heading hospital. Say 1-2 hrs is usually ok but not too long. Got a 'pop' sound when it happened and water leaked quite fast for me. Imagine urine uncontrollably. It will slow time after a while, then come out again.

ManU, congrats to u too! I think pump every 2-3 hrs is about right.

is it CB calendula cream? it supposed to help with diaper rash.. or did your baby already has rashes before this? i normally use the calendula cream together with the diaper rash powder.it works..

She does latch on directly much better as compared to my no1...but each time i latch her, she suckles like 5 - 10min dozes off sleep le and then wake up crying cause drink not enough so cup feed her, so she cannot clear my milk and i always got to pump afer she latch.. scared over time she rather drink from cup cause much faster so im trying to reduce her reliance on cup feeding
So fast freestyle not bad... my ss got improve le, though im hoping it will go up some more...

freestyle is pretty quiet even my husbans also commented so...suction not bad also... but pump a while not really express alot milk out.. end up i hand massage and manual express than flow smoother

I popped yst.. 30 Nov! Baby gal at 3.315kg by natural w epidural! Childbirth is really the most amazing thing! When i look at baby.. all my pain (which still hurts) feels worthwhile..
 
My pelvic soreness seems to be better today. At least I can walk better.

Jeanie, maybe i'm like you, not consistent kind of soreness.

kokopooh, can understand with the big tummy and soreness is really uncomfortable hor...

walk the whole shop only buy ingrediantes for the red date water..
everything else mum also say no need..

genesis, same same. U experiencing cramps? Is the frequency closer n closer? Must monitor ya? Last night, i got about 45 mins of intense cramps then no more. Maybe cervix trying to dilate bah. When's your next gynae check? This week?

Roxy, 120 to 200ml v good liao. U only started for 1 week leh. As for baby, got to keep ka cheow her. Take out her mittens n booties, nudge her chin etc, cannot let her sleep. My no. 1 also like that. Never drink enough, want to sleep then next hr want to nurse again. Faint! :p
