Bye mummies, see u gals in a week's time, leaving on a jet plane to china in 3 hrs! Cross fingers my boy will be ok, he had been having nitemares the past wk. Can slp halfway cry, scream n kick.....Dunno angry with wat....*sigh* Happens after he got his mmrv....

Jeanie, the trial is $50. Not too bad, I think more fun than MLG. Surprising my boy can remember the phonics hand gesture today when I ask him.

Hi Jeanie, Thks for sharing the above link becos I managed to buy it last min....;p
Tried calling them as wanting to find out the schedule but always no one picked up the hp wan ?

Yes, think will try out a few types before I decide...but GUG is not bad. A fren attending iGenius say not bad also..city square mall..

Jeanie : u forgot to buy ? Pity leh as u r the one who shared the link.

Sorry, what's SM ?

IGenius is still cheaper than Shichida.

JG class like very long-2hrs & their trial is expensive leh-$61.53.
GUG trial class also expensive at $50 leh....;p

My understanding is that Shichida, MLG & IGenius are similar teachings.
Not too sure abt JG & GUG as I hv not attended their trial yet.

Ms tan, yah. I thought it's still long, 40odd hrs, so I went to do other things. And I forgot!

SM is shichida method.

Igenius cheaper? Hmm. I saw another thread that says it's more exp then shichida.

JG aren't cheap. It's long hrs tho. But its more of learn through play. Not much academic. More on character building. My fren's girl is with gug now. I saw them doing lots of craft work..

Jeanie : no lar, I find Igenius cheaper than SM.

SM is $834.60 for 12 lessons
IGenius (IG) is $800 for 10 lessons

If u calculate per class then SM is cheaper but the amt u pay for IG include 1 parent workshop + home training material.
SM u need to pay for the parent workshop (ard $150-$200) & home material (depends wat u choose).
If u calculate the total amt u paying for SM then will be more expensive than IG.

Oh IG, SM & MLG are more academic.
MLG is cheaper than the above 2 thou.

Hi Mstan

i paid $30 for the trial class.

during the class, there is singing/dancing, playing in their gym, playing of blocks, bubbles, story telling, showing of flashcards, using crayons to draw.
they will also get each child to match toys to the pics, match the color cones to the right color hoola rings.

so i feel that my son seems to be able to learn more from this class.

in the registration, it stated that there is registration fee (non-refundable) of $50 + refundable deposit of $100 + insurance of $3. but no mention of $15 for uniform.

course fee is $360 for a term of 8 weeks.

Jeanie, I went bilingual parent and babe

18 mths can go toddler but I go babe class since my boy never go classes b4. Scared he b v lost la. Gug also recommend babe class.

Hi Mummies, need advise here.. My 18th mth old gal refuse to eat anything.. Ive tried different type of food & ways of cooking them but just 1 bite & she will spit them out. I ordered snacks from Iherd in her favourite character 'Sesame street' just to tempt her but still nothing..
But she is still on Fomula milk.. Infact she drinks them like an infant.. Every 3 or 4 hour she will ask for milk.. She even wake up 1-2 time in the wee hrs asking for milk.Im giving her Enfagrow now..

Is this normal?

Lynn, is this only recent? Sometimes it happens, transition stage. As long not for too long should b fine. If worried then go pd just to make sure everything is well. My boy ever like dat also...everything dun wan, end up eat cereal and milk for a few days then back to normal.

Hi Gg_lee, since she's 12 mth +

At first i thought it normal too.. Went to pd & she said it normal as long as she drinks milk.. But untill now she only rely on milk..

Is she gaining weight? She takes cereal? U might wanna try pediasure. Or nestle nutren junior. Works the same. For fussy eaters.

U give porridge? Is it because it's too bland? Fruit cereal? Bread?

Musikgarten is a pre-instrumental music and movement program from USA, for babies, toddlers up to 8 years old, before they take up individual piano or violin lessons.

The aim of Musikgarten is to develop the skills, abilities, and talent necessary for a child to be physically and mentally ready before taking up an instrument. Music activities are designed to foster development of the whole child – body, mind and spirit.

At every level, the emphasis of the program is on music and being musical – singing, dancing, listening and moving to music, learning tonal and rhythm patterns and using simple instruments. Purchase of family material (consist of CD/Books/simple instruments) is compulsory, to reinforces learning in the home.

The lessons develop spatial intelligence and body confidence through music - great for toddlers learning to walk. Children will learn key components of music, including pitch, timbre, dynamics, rhythm and melody. Key skills taught include finger play, rocking, bouncing, singing and listening games, body awareness, tapping (with hands, feet and percussion), as well as music appreciation. The lesson provides an early exposure to music in an interesting and stimulating environment.
