i called gynea's clinic.. he's not in yet. the nurse say if i wan i can do down den they put a plaster for me.. i told her i might as well go pharmancy and buy den put myself.. haha.. i asked her is it the wound have not closed, she say it depends on your skin. if skin gd, it will heal naturally by itself. so i'll monitor and see..

WOw! Congrats! Your labour is so natural. Luckily u rejected the gynae from interfering. Now a days gynae just like to speed up labours and in the end we suffer from sudden pain.

I am hoping and wishing I will have the same type of labour as u. It would be nice to see bb come out with the membranes. Did u get any stitchings?
 
saphira, yeah...lying down position is very good...cuz we can sleep together...hehe

kimifin, think its best to focus on how to latch in the hospital...if u wanna bring ur breast pump, u can bring sterlising tablets to sterlise so no need to bring sterliser... also first few days if u pump...only drops of colostrum...what i am afraid is tha, the drops will be "stucked' in bottle and very diff to feed bb...

ashley, the breast fren pillow is abt 80 bucks...mine is a cheapo one, i bought it for 30 bucks+, still pretty good... so u haven decide whether u wanna go see the LC?

breast feeding pillow: need? tot cradle hold quite comfy if you lie back on nicely supported chair/bed

nipple confusion: beta start experimenting with bottle feeding as its inevitable we need to express BM to keep up supply. newborn appetite quite small. beta to train them to adapt to both. For avrielle she prefer direct bf and have a bit of prob with bottle, but can manage to finish after some "struggling"

Cause my gynae was afraid that i won't give birth before 12pm but i believe my body can do it so rejected his instructions. I got the stitches below but dunno was it necessary cause my boy was already stretching my vagina before the gynae came. Think is a shorter stitch than my #1.

So did u bathe? Heehee.... i bathing and washing my hair everyday cause really cannot tahan the sweat plus i'm having rashes at my buttocks. How's ur #1 coping with #2?
 
stacey, i had the pig kidney n pork yesterday...cut down on pig liver as it will reduce milk ss...

taurus, yes i bathe everyday but wash hair if i going out or frens coming over... but so far i never on aircon/fan so super hot still...

my #1 very enthu abt #2, so always wanna carry or kiss her...we have to close the door to prevent him from going in...
 
sporty.. my mum cooked brown rice for me.. and most times, i took cod fish pan fried... spinach... drumstick pan fried.. for soup.. there is a small red bean with orange peel, pork ribs soup.. papaya fish soup, lotus seed soup..

sliced pork with alot of black fungus.. good!

sometimes lunch i took mian xian with egg and spinach and pork.. but not full..

i cut out all ginger and herbs..

i also try to eat apple and /or orange a day.

gor cravings for bubble tea.. but no one buy for me..


then tea break is milo with soda biscuits or digestive biscuits.

once i told my mum to cook ikan bilis for me.. haha.. put in mian xian.. shiok.. but she dun wan to cook for me again.. cos she says not sure whether confinement can eat this or not..


oh yah.. just now i ate brown rice porridge.. my mum put some pork ribs.. and whole garlic to cook.. very plain.. but i like.. but this also won't be filling one.. hahah.. wait for tea break..

morning.. i toast wholemeal bread with cheese.. and fried egg.. hahaha!!
 
Hey ladies! Just came back from the hospital today. Thanks for the well-wishes. =)

My birth story as follows on 11.11.2009:-

5.30am tummy pain go toilet poo poo. 2 small pieces. =p Pain still kept coming back but can tahan. Thinking to go clinic at 10am to get more prenatal vitamin and ask gynae if baby coming out soon.. really sian of waiting le...

6.00am Pain intensity got worse and frequent. Thought maybe that was it. Went to bathe. Have to make use of the short intervals to wash myself.

6.30am Called my gynae but he didn't pick up the call. Saw my mum and told her. Saw my hubby's slight opened eyes so also told him about the pain. His first reaction "You got go poo poo or not?" (Aftermath, he told me at that moment of time, he wanted to go back to sleep"!)

6.45am Pain really bad, ask my hubby to call the gynae and his father to pick me up. He sounded really calm so think the gynae was asking him for more detail. I just snatched the phone from him and told the gynae I'm in great pain and was asked to go to the hospital right away.

7.00am Was screaming away at every contraction under the void deck. My hubby called again to hurry my brother-in-law. (Father-in-law couldn't make it as he was with a passenger at Changi Airport in his cab)

7.15am Brother-in-law finally arrived with my mother-in-law, his wife and baby son. Think my hubby was too calm when telling them the news thus they thought I will probably be giving birth at noon and took abit of time in getting to me. Throughout the journey, I had really fast and furious contractions. Mid journey, kept wanting to push at every contraction. Can even feel baby's head at the birth canal at the end of the push. Really have to thank my brother-in-law for his super gungho driving skill. He used the road shoulder due to morning traffic jam, drove at max legal speed, superb change lanes skill and have 2 near accidents! Also have to thanks my sister-in-law(who was sitting beside me, hubby sat in front) for letting me crushed her delicate hand. I nearly bite her lor!

7.40am Finally reached TMC. Nurses are changing shift but stopped to help. I was helped onto a wheelchair and my hubby pushed me to the lobby. On the way there, baby's head crowned but my hubby and the nurse couldn't seem to make the wheelchair elevator work! Nurses ran to get help and towel.

7.45am Baby's whole body came out onto the wheelchair! Hubby was shouting for help while holding on to the baby. Think he was really in shock. Heard the first cry amidst the chaos and I finally felt a sense of relief. Haha!

8.30am Gynae finally free to come and sew me up. 2.5 inch! Was given 2 jabs in the thigh and laughing gas. Apparently he had 2 operations before me thus the unanswered call. Was kind of get scolded by him and the nurses as they said I should be admit to the hospital at the first sign of pain, especially this is my #2. But no one told me what?!

As it was a hot date, TMC was fully booked and I was given a aircon spoilt room in the morning but managed to transfer to a nicer room in the afternoon.

Regarding the delivery fee, think they said they can't charged us for the delivery package as I kind of deliver outside. Not sure about the final cost though as my gal still have yet discharge due to jaundice. Hopefully can pick her up tmr.

I'm now at home enjoying the nice confinement food from Natal Essential. Btw, heard from the massage lady Ida that she won't be using her sister for her client's massage as she did not follow her instruction and received alot of complains. So she will be doing my massage herself. Yeah!

hi to the mummies who just delivered,
if i experience regular contractions in the middle of the night, but i dont see any blood stains or waterbag burst, should i go to hosp immediately?

cos these few nights i have pain in the night but i not sure if i am going to deliver or not..so decide to wait..am i doing the right thing? cos my EDD still about 12 days away and i want my boy to come out naturally..can anyone help me??

for veg, my mum mostly cook spinach or kai lan.. meat wise, sometimes it's ma yu chicken or ma yu loin meat.. if not it's honey chicken with abalone sauce, beef slices with veg, or steamed fish.. fried egg with silver fish.. soup wise, i have the fish and papaya soup alternate days, beef soup, tomato &amp; carrot with chicken soup, sometimes kao ki vegetable with egg and minced meat soup..

I have some at night too. If noe show or water burst not to worry so much. Unless your contractions are 10mins apart and constant.

few days ago think was wed night, my contraction was 5mins apart &amp; i thought bb was coming out soon! but it turns out to be false alarm..i went to poo poo instead haha!

dont know how to differentiate between real &amp; false contraction..just know if the contractions is 5 to 10 mins apart &amp; the pain gets intensify each time, then must go hosp already ah?
