i think my milk or colostrum is coming.. gynae press my breast today she say still soft. but now i touch abit harder than this morning.

is this the way to tell if the milk is coming ? lol!

I still haven't popped yet! Now talking using phone cos lappy at my mums place!

Just woke up cos silly gong gong me couldn't sleep after my 3.30am pee. My ah Lao was symphonying away n ms yuxi was dancing to it. Can predict these two going to be goodie frens. Then I suddenly had craving for my chu qian Yi ding mian, so got up to cook half a pack n finished the can of coke in my fridge! Haha all these were done with zero awareness from my ah Lao! See how piggy he is!!

Then now super hungry cos missed my mama-delivery. Thinking of driving out to get foodie! Haha but haven't drove for a while! Or should I call macs? But I hate macs!

Finally one more day to face matriach! Have to train my guts again! sigh thnk might need to induce if so I want tomorrow! But then again I want to go eat at the Okinawa fair at scotts isetan!

Yup exactly like wat sunnyling said. But i fully latch only. My day is latch n sleep only.

Ytd came home n shes been v unsettled so hve been human pacifier. Zzzzzzzzzz.....

U gals better zzz as much as possible. M glad i did pre delivery.

I tried the woman on top position some wks (or was it mths) ago and wah liew, i was panting for breath!!! i think my hv oso felt squashed wif my tummy coz i've got a tendency to rest on his body! hahahaahhahahaahaha... so RA!!!! *ssshhhh*!!!! since then no mood for BD liao.... thinking how tiring it is wif a big tummy now! dun even wanna try!

I think its gd to hold on the full day till jan, at least. give teng some time to adjust to his new sibling 1st thou we know this cannot be achieved within a couple of mths lah.

haha, these tods! the things they fuss abt can be ANYTHING! i know how it feels!!!!

real contractions will be painful one... not juz tummy hardening. if its juz painless hardening, then its only braxton hicks. i get tt many times a day now. gynae says its prep for real labour. i had BH for months alrdy. now so used to it, it doesnt bother me anymore.

i din know will kena swelling aft delivery too. swelling has nvr happened to me b4... it juz suddenly happened to me 2 days ago when I am abt 38 wks. Told my gynae yest and she juz smiled and told me the old wives tales abt me gg into labour soon. heee...

I oso agree on no inductions unless medically required. My fluid level was average yest and placenta still looks gd, baby still gaining weight so gynae says she'll see me in a wk's time when i am 39 wks. she expects action aft tt. heee...

i think sweet stuff helps? but then again, u dunno if baby will absorb it. For me, mooncakes and cakes did the trick! baby gained 300g/wk over the last 2 wks. now she's a gd 3kg during check-up yest.

no choice... anything to wake the sleeping baby!
alternatively is to watch out wat his cries are actually abt. doesnt mean each cry means he is hungry. he might b irritated fr wet/soiled nappies, stomach got wind, wants to play etc? frankly speaking i am not gd at deciphering wat each cry means but if its within 45 mins, unlikely baby is hungry. frequent short bouts of feeding like tt will make u confused when is the next feed. so mayb gd to relook why is he exactly crying/fussing abt. easier said than done, i know!

The initial few wks of motherhood is not easy. Gotta endure the wound pain and cracked nipples but it will surely get better.

I heard tt baby growth spurts occurs ard Wk 3... so mayb baby hvg growth spurts now?

Hi folks, re the sore, cracked and bleeding nipples. I also used breastmilk and purelan. But I think eventually the nipples will toughen. First week was hell. Second week stopped bleeding, now into my third week and it doesn't hurt (only when the monster latches on). Can feel her tongue "milking" me.

Hey regarding pumping, how much can you pump out? I realised that I pump out very little. This morning before my bb woke up, I only managed to squeeze out 20 ml out of one boob after 30 mins. Not impressed. Also, strange as it sounds, I think using your hand is better! I have the PIS (passed to me by someone else), but hand pressing is better as I can squeeze the "blocked" areas at the same time.

Here's a photo of Amelie. She looks more and more like her dad with each passing day and she seems to have my bad temper. Very bad. What to do, I was so angsty all the time when pregnant. As for vital stats, she was 3.010 kg, 51 cm long.

vinbaby, we delivered on the same day at Mt A leh! Which ward were you staying? I was at 331. What time you delivered? Sekali next door only, ha ha!

Also curious, how long did you mummies take to recover, for those who delivered through the vagina? As in you felt well enough to walk around comfortably?

Hi hi, anyone knows whether the medela's valve &amp; membrane can be sterilized using the steam sterilizer? Am trying out my sterilizer &amp; cleaning all the milk bottles + storage bottle + breast pump &amp; it's parts. This shld be the last thg to do before my little princess come.

Went for my 38th wk checkup yest. Did CTG. Everythg seems to be on track. Bb has engaged &amp; she is now 2.9kgs. No sign of labour yet. Will do another round of VE only next visit.

Astro, how's ur bb doing? Still can wait till 26 Oct? :p
 
Oops, and to add on, my delivery was natural with epidural. I think the epi really helped me. Could rest and save my energy for the pushing, which surprisingly did not take long either. Less than 10 pushes and pop, she came out. I was bracing myself for long labour as my sis took 20+ hours for each of her daughters.

My breast also sore and whenever my bb latch I was like oh oh oh. I trying to pump out cos I find that he drink more when on bottle. When latching he sleep every fifteen minutes and got to keep wake him up to latch more.

Anyway, the only good news from whatever is that I am finally seeing yellowish discharge!! It's the supposed prelude to the bloody show...Oh well see how it goes...
 
Loke: My next visit will be next Wed. EDD next Sun. 1 day after will be Astro's EDD. If her yu he can wait, then I am able to go kaypo with her since we are both delivering at TMC mah. Btw, ur EDD supposed to be earlier than us rite? Ur bb still not engaged? Think walk more helps....
