yes i went! yeah...big disappointment, so lousy, barely any crowd and i think got only 3 stores selling baby stuff, and YES limited selection and very ex!! but its ok lah...we went to stroll around walked to the jetty too.
happy.gif
then went for dinner at Carl Jr. my girl enjoyed herself...looking at the sea and kept looking at the trees. oh no...your boy got a fright? did he cry? when u introduce the water must slowly lah..haha..

michelle
do u mean the coloring sort of fall off from the ears? its ok i think... mine also, coz my girl keeps bitting the ears! its natural edible paint, so its safe.

blender
i just took out my blender the other day and i realised its got a strong smell of 'something'. i think could be because i used it to blend some chillis a long time ago. how to get rid of the smell ah? wld it still be ok to use it to make bb puree???

Kiki
I tried to slowly let his toes touch the sea water but I was too preoccupied with "advices" from grandparents and hubby, I didn't notice a wave coming.. hahha so his whole feet went under water for awhile. Even the bottom of my berms were wet.

My mum offered me her blender but I rejected cos she used it to blend chilli and onion b4. Bought a new one.

itsy
maybe i'd try to wash again and air dry it properly. i got the small container that can connect to the blender too..but where is it?? got to find that. think that smaller one will be easier for pureeing.

~kam~
opps.. Didn't know tat but thanks for letting me know. The gap is referring to?
Sometimes when carrying my boy over my shoulder, he will move here n there n his head knocked into my face/ teeth. Pain for me but he seemed ok.

mummies who are using the medela cooler bag (the blue waved cooling element).. how long can it last outside? Thinking of watching movie after work.. Got to bring ebm there n home. Thanks!!

melissa,
If you touch the top of his head (gently), you will feel a gap, and this gap will be closed when his skull moves over the next few months. It's more obvious on my #1 cos he has much less hair. With my girl, we hasn't touched her head and feel the gap yet, cos she got so much hair. Her nanny said her head also a bit skewed, but just a bit, not as bad as my #1.

-> skewed head
hi kam, my gal's head is oso quite skewed cos she likes to sleep on one side only. PD just mentioned to lie her on her side but we didn't have much success cos she will just flip onto her back/preferred side on her own.

did ur boy's head shape get better when he grew older, or it is sort of permanent?

sophie

i think sam doesn't like his sophie. he only holds it, waves it abt a bit, then drop it.

once i tried to guide it into his mouth but he doesn't seem to know what to do with it
sad.gif

ling

yeah, guess we just gotta do what we gotta do right? when there's no choice, we gotta suck it up n just do it! jiayou

sandwich

r u feeling better?

kam
your #1 the gap at the head hasn't closed yet?

jul, kam, xiaowei
when i bathe my girl, i'd wash her hair in circular motion. so sort of massaging the head round and round but very gently.

jul
i realised that sophie is abit heavy for baby this young to hold. my girl will also drop it after a while when she loses her grip on it.

kam

Haha sounds funny when i see u 'repeat' it. But really lor, if something happens to sam's brain, I'll regret for life
sad.gif

kiki

But ur gal does stick sophie into her mouth to chew right?

bath time
bath time for my girl is a back breaking mission for poor me these days. she is growing so heavy n long that she doesn't 'fit' onto my lap for hair wash. plus she tends to struggle nowadays too.

mummies, do u wash your baby's hair everyday?

kam, jul
my girl's great grandma that time commented that my girl's head very hard very good...not really sure what that meant. but she kept touching and sort of pressing her head, i nearly wanna faint but don't dare to tell her to stop doing that, afterall she has had 10 children. but after that incident i tried not to let her carry my girl already :p

Michelle: Vulli is the company name .
Sorry guys posted wrongname is sophie if u all want any of the items let me know i can buy in france. I will be back in Aug .. But u all have to give me the item code so that i can check on the net n go to the shopping centre to buy.

Guys the Sophie's giraffe body is made of natural food colouring it can be eaten by babies is safe.. :p
Do not worry abt the discolouration

kiki

ever since sam hit 10 weeks, i've been washing his hair in the bath. just sit him inside like bathing, n just wash like that.

i wash sam's head with soap everyday since day 1.

did u 'teach' kim to 'eat' sophie or she just did it by herself ah? wonder why sam doesn't chew on it. smelly maybe?

aiyoh! sometimes really scared of the elders coz u nvr know what they'll do

Mummies

But i come home and do a google search and found that the medicine is not considered compatible with breastfeeding by the manufacturer..how ah?? safe to take?

my ger head oso flat on one side..
and i bought a pillow that have a hole in the centre. and it works! her head is better now!

kris,
i have taken zrytec while i was in my 2nd/3rd trimester and also while breastfeeding. only skipped it in the first trimester on the advice of the gyne. a safer flu med is actually puriton.

jul, paige,
i am well today already, thanks. started feeling better in the morning. went to work in the morning as usual and went for driving lessons in the afternoon as usual. milk supply is also back. realized yesterday was very little cos my period's just arrived. sianz

jul
how do u sit sam in his bath? lying down? but i find lying down and washing her hair very hard! water will go into the ears! so thats why i always wash her hair 'salon' style with her lying on my lap.

nope i didn't teach her to eat it, i just tried to lure her to hold it and she naturally brought it to her mouth....like she does virtually anything that i give to her. :p

kris
zrytec is safe when breastfeeding. i'm prescribed with zrytec for control of my sinus problems by my doc. he told me its safe while pregnant or breastfeeding. i made him repeat it like twice and even showed me the guideline book to ensure me its safe! :p

kiki
i also bath n shampoo joseph hair with him sitting up. nowadays he doesnt like to recline when bathing he loves sitting up n splashing water. the shampoo never gets to his eyes too. i use mothercare teardrop sponge. i also wash his hair everyday esp cos he has so much hair!

kris
some say zyrtec is safe some dun. for me i only take piriton when i have flu during preg n bfdg. zyrtec is non drowsy but piriton causes u to be v drowsy but it works v well for me cos make me sleep and i usually feel much better when i wake up

sandwich
good to hear u ok already, how's titus?

mamato6js
hmm..how do u gals wash bb's hair sitting baby up ah? i find it damn hard! coz my girl can't sit up on her own and its hard to keep her sitting up in the tub with just 1 hand while other hand got to wash the hair mah...lol.

yep, zyrtec is non drowsy. not sure if piriton was the other one but my doc asked me if i wanted the one that made me non drowsy or drowsy, i said non drowsy. coz for me, no luxury to sleep even if not feeling well since i'm the main caregiver during daytime.

kiki> ya lo. shelled oredi told me =p

jul> haha. my boy likes it cos it makes noise when he bites it. den he bite so hard dat de paint drop n hubby got worried. now i can give it back to my boy again =p

but ya, my boy does drop his sophie very often =x

mavis> hehe. shelled oredi did a bp for us on sophie =p

paige> yeah lo
happy.gif

kris

nope, nvr took zyrtec

paige

where to find ah? i tried loking in those cheap $2 type shops but only have the powdered ones. can i use them alone or i still need the rubber gloves?

sandwich

oh u also got ur period. no wonder u were so tired.

kiki

he sort of rests on my wrist with my hand under his armpit. it used to be easier coz he'll tilt his head back. but now that his neck is stronger, he'll try to sit up n his head is upright so it's more diff to prevent water from dripping down his face. nowadays he splashes very violently n water gets onto the floor, my clothes, his face.. but he doesn't cry.

kiki

haha he was pinching his spare tyre! dunno y these days he likes to 'self mutilate'. he will pinch his tummy n thighs.

thanks, michelle
happy.gif

Ok off to bed. I hope 2moro wun be like the past 2 days. Sam is cutting down his sleep time n demands to be played with/carried more *boo hoo*

Thanks Mummies for the reply on Zyrtec. Actually I was given a few other medicine as well, but i guess will have to monitor loh. And eat only after pumping. No choice...need to get better fast or cannot stay too close to my babies

Sam Boy, oh yes u r definitely fat and u make ur mama real happy LOL!

Kiki
i use one hand to hold under his armpit then the other hand to bath him. he is ok with water running down his face leh but usually if i wanna wash off the shampoo at the front part of his head i lean him backwards a bit. u try. babies this age love to sit upright n watch their world go by haha...

Connie
i've got 3 unopened glamourmom tops size M. i bought so many cos v gian to have all the colours in the end i only wore a few. the rest wanna sell off!@

jul I buy them from the $1.05 shop in my neighbourhood, but any small mama stall would sell it, its 100 pieces for $1. Its called POLY GLOVES HAND SHIELD...i can finish one pack in 2 weeks! I use this poly gloves before i wear the latex gloves (i'm cheapo, i recycle my latex surgical gloves, so i use one perday
happy.gif
). I find the thick thick rubber gloves too big and it comes up past my wrist, the "non-poly gloved" part will get itchy.

I have the same changing mat!
happy.gif
Sam's sooo CUTE~~!! i think about the same size as my 'tua jiak' girl!! my hubby said next time she can go play rugby! hahaha...

michelle i was thinking the same thing last week when she refuses to sleep and wants me to carry/play with her all the time, i was going mad!!! i actually let her cry for 30 mins and she can cry non-stop, my ears couldn't take it! I soooo wanted to go back to work, and soooooo regretted taking no pay!

sandwich glad that you are better, hope Titus is better too...so, when he's ill, he's still allowed in infant care? I just registered mine for mid march, hoping to put her there on half day for a few days, then let her get used to the environment before i start work 1st april....even the teacher did tell me that MOST of the babies will fall ill in the first two weeks of infant care....so scary!!
