Connie> how come u are wearing L glamourmom n using a S pupsik? Are u petite in size with larger boobs? Otherwise u shld be using a L pupsik!!

U can check my FB.. Few shots of my HB carrying my girl with my pupsik.. I have a L size n we both could use it!

Yo Good Morning Mummies!!~

Been a silent (and lazy) reader of the thread since the birth of my bb and now I finally feel my fingers itchy enough to type type and make contact with you gals (and daddies, if any). My second born is a boy, born on 7 Sept. My first child is a girl, born Aug 08, hence coming 18mths soon.

Anyone who lives in Tampines or not? Nowadays I take no-pay leave for 1/2yr and hence more free to log on. Hee...

Adeline,
Thanks and sure. Can you send me an invite on fb? I don't want to publish my e-mail account here.

Mama2-6js
thanks. Looks like your maid is really doing a great job? See you back on the forum again ;-)

JTS... here's a pic of my two darlings taken 3 weeks back...

Kam,

You are right... my boy already weighs 9kg while my girl at 17mos+ only 11kg.. haha, I won't be surprised if my boy is the biggest baby in this thread... doc says above 97% percentile liao. What to do? tbf what, can't ask him to go on diet, right? hee

milkyway,

could it be that your bb's starting to grow teeth already? the drool would likely cause rashes if it stay around the mouth area too long..

mummies,

anyone's bb got teeth already??

kiki yes, i bring her everywhere now...am taking care of her ALONE at home since 2 weeks ago, no more por-por's help
sad.gif
thus, (i'm) feeling sooo lost!! can't wait for her to go infant care come 15th march!
happy.gif

michelle yalor! shouldn't have taken so long no pay!! aiyah, thought stay at home can bond with her, at least can breastfeed her until she's 7 mths.....but she wek wekk here and wekk wekk there until I really don't know what to do with her everyday...

sandwich 4 months on and off being ill!!!! oh man!!!! really??? this is ultra scary!!!
sad.gif
i must pray hard that she'll be alright...
sad.gif
sad.gif

mamato6Js last time u mentioned joseph started teething already? my daughter is drooling sooo much, worse than a St. Bernard now!!...am wondering whether she is teething...hmm.

kris and sandwich - lunch buddies! hope u all are feeling ok now ya? take care!

paige - haha dun compare ur daughter to a dog leh!! :p

Paige

You also on no pay leave huh? Me too. Where do you stay? If you stay in the east, maybe can meet up and let the bb play together then it would be less taxing for you to face your girl alone at home.

Don't worry la, your bb wek wek here and there cuz want stimulation and enjoyment mah... My boy also like that, nowadays he begin to explore his toes and he's learning to pull things between his big and second toes while he's in the rocker! When he gets bored, he even started to talk to himself until we catch his eyes then he laughs.

urgh! trying to pack for my bintan trip this wkend...going crazy trying to pack hbs, mine and baby's stuff into 1 luggage! not big enough! really alot of barang...her diapers alone takes up almost half luggage space. *stress* does anyone know if i can buy travel size milk bottle cleaner? kiddy palace got sell or not? never took notice before.

also, mummies who have travelled with baby before. do u think i should get distilled water to boil to make my girl's FM huh? or...just boil the bintan tap water should be quite safe? helppppp!!!!!!! need advise!

kiki - i juz came back from a staycation last wk and i totally agreed tt most of the barang barang comes from baby! i have sample sizes of baby toiletries and detergent and bottle cleaners from i dunno where also. must be goody bags. if not u pour into a small and clean container. i saw those sample sizes toiletries sold outside. think its j n j. haha not worth buying leh. cheaper to get bottles and pour your own one.

i would think its safer to buy distilled water and boil lor and if i were u (ok i m totally kiasu and kiasi!) i will buy frm sg! haha then sometimes the kettle from hotels not very clean so i will bring vacuum flask or my own small kettle! hehe i know i am a bit extreme but sometimes i myself dun like to drink water boiled from hotel kettles cos the coil inside sometimes rusty leh!

hi jassie
welcome!
happy.gif
gosh! 9kg! u've got a little sumo there.

paige
lol. don't feel lost!...u'd get the hang of it sooner or later. i look after my girl alone too since day 1! :p i didn't even engage a confinement nanny. initially, i was also REALLY lost too being 1st time mummy... and there'd be days when i felt like tearing my hair out. there were also days when i felt so helpless and just didn't know what my girl was wehh wehh-ing about...i just hold her close and we cried together! but nowadays, it's becoming more and more managable. mummy's instincts will guide u like it did for me.
happy.gif

cookies
i've got the small travel size baby toiletries like bath and shampoo.. but don't have bottle cleaner. looks like i got to go find it fast! i don't have small bottles at home leh...else i can pour it into a small bottle like u say. huh??? vacuum flask and kettle also bring?? err.... don't scare me leh. me already having trouble stuffing everyone's things into the luggage :p yes, distilled water i will get from SG. guardian should have rite?

kiki,

yup, we call him the little sumo at home, esp with the size of his drumstick thighs... look meaty and delicious!

as for your trip, you might want to bring along "a piece of home", baby's favourite toy or something that acc your bb all this while so that bb would not feel so lost in an unfamiliar environment. At this age, bb can differentiate home and other places liao. Have lots of fun... !
happy.gif

Can I check if any of you mummies have experience that the back of your baby's head feel warm? I find that my gal, who is now 4 months old seemed to have a very warm head, which I'm unsure if its normal? Any advise?

My bb's head is warm too... It's normal ba. My girl used to be like that too.... Just don't let bb lie down all the time, sometimes sit up or carry around to "air" it and lower his body temperature..
happy.gif

Outing

When when when u mummies free??

this week??

Tomorrow? Thursday?? :p

Where???

i on half day today too. now pumpin n later go jalan at jurong pt.

rach,
my ht is 158 so is classified between S n M.
maybe glamorus "M" I also can wear. I a bit KS, buy bigger size to cover my tummy.
boots, thk D ba. Used to wear B but after all e milk supply.
do u think I should buy M for the glamorous top?

Connie
both are not classified using height leh...

Glamourmom depends on ur boobs size...
34D, 36D, or 38D makes a diff to which size u should wear.
If L, then the boobs area not very loose meh? LOL...
but if u are 36D or 38D then L is fine..
happy.gif

for pupsik, need to classify according to weight...
being a D, u need to upsize one more to accomodate ur bust space...so wont squash ur baby.. if u are M, MAYBE need L...

I'm 76kg. 1.65m, now also dunno what bra size liaoz.. but i'm wearing L Glamourmom, using L Pupsik, wearing Bravado L also.. hahahha.. :p

kiki Woah!!! you took care of her on your OWN since DAY 1?? wow...you are really SUPER!

Jassie I stay around Bukit Batok area though
sad.gif
sad.gif
so far from you
sad.gif

cookiezz She goes through at least 10 bibs/day!

Rach
sad.gif
I already arrange "sui sui" my outings for this week, so this week full already
sad.gif
Next week???? I'm ok with causeway point? kiki you ok next week? and itsy you stay sengkang area huh...i guess i can try make my way there, i have never been to compasspoint >paiseh<

Paige

I'm fine with next week...

when?? which day?? I'm ok with everyday for now...
my plans are usually made on the day itself if not prior arranged. :p

itsy, come to Causeway Point la.. u can take 965 only 30min bus ride.. wahahhahaha.. :p

rach,
mean the glamourmom boobs should be tight? boobs area a bit loose but I read somewhere, cannot be v tight else got supply issue. furthermore, I need to put breast pad. think M or L both can lor.

All the while, I'm wearing M shirt. The shirt was bought after I give birth which figure is out of shape type. Do I get M now instead?
Now I'm 52kg.

jassie
welcome!! Don't think my gal is teething yet, she just love to play with her saliva n will drool as too much saliva. Them she likes to suck her fists n touch her face lor.. That's how the rashes came abt! I tried cleaning her face often already but she keeps playing with her saliva n fists.. Can nv catch up man!

paige
wow 10bibs/day!!! That's a lot of drool yah.. I use ard 2 n/or 2 hankies too

any mummies heard of beco carrier? is it good?
i'm considering getting one but bjourn is quite expensive and can onlr carry baby up to around 1 year old....

Connie
Glamourmom wont restrict supply la...
there's no underwire at all..and its not a bra..
happy.gif

There's just a rubber band support at the bottom ma...
if alot of cloth and loose..then no support for ur already very big boobs.then will become saggy...
I think u should wear M for Glamourmom though...but u gotta gauge now how loose it is...
if very loose, then M will be better..else no support for ur boobs...sag very fast i think...

milkyway
my girl loves to eat her face and drool a bit...
now i started putting bibs on her liaoz.. looks cute.. hahaha.. :p

Can buy from my BP if interested.. hahah.. :p

3532923.jpg

I put CB Aloe Vera Cream on her.. helps to clear the rashes leh.. bery goooood i like!!!
happy.gif

deebee

a few of us are using Manduca Carriers..

U can go to Baby Carrier & Sling shop a Novena Square 2. they allow u to try all sorts and decide..
can advise u too..
happy.gif

Some mommies here have 10% discount card... u can see who can lend u...then after u buy, return them back the card...

and the mummies will have their discount card extended another 6 months.. hehehe.. :p

That's reallyyyyy far from Tampines! Hang in there ok? I am sure your girl would be better as the time goes by. I learnt that when a bb is sufficiently stimulated, he/she would be able to take naps and sleep better! Otherwise, they would have a lot of energy and feel bored easily and that cause them to wehh wehh a lot!

kao_clap.gif
milkyway
my little boy also like that, can put the entire fist into his mouth and rub all over his face. he doesn't like pacifier and hence can't give that to him to stop his weh-weh sometimes. sigh. i am expecting his teething season would be really bad if his pain threshold is low!!! i had a hard time last year when my girl had her first set of teeth.. gotta brace myself for that!

kao_clap.gif
rach
your girl very cute lei... her hair esp.... natural curls? she looks very much more mature than a 4 month old bb...or is it my boy looking too "childish"? lol...

no mummies from this thread living in Tampines ah?? *wave wave*

Jassie> haha ya she's pretty big looking but only 6.6kg at 19 weeks(I think).. Lost track of weeks liaoz.. Lol

ya she has natural curls.. Dunno y leh.. Haha.. We both no curly hair.. :p

jassie
i don't think my gal has any fav toys. she hasn't shown particular interest in any of her toys.

paige
well...technically, hb took leave for the 1st 10 days. :p yeah yeah...next wk on! gelare lunch on tues? waffles are half priced! rach, u joining us? anyone else keen to join in?
happy.gif

deebee
i heard of beco carriers but haven't tried it out myself. the review is not bad but hey, the beco carrier is not exactly very cheap also leh.

Kiki> me not very great fan of gelare leh.. Lunch ah.. The main course not very cheap n not very nice..

Can eat somewhere then proceed to gelare for waffles??
I'm ok with tue though..
happy.gif

Kam> lol!! I meant FIST!!! wahaha... LMHO...

Suddenly reminded of our earlier days here a ur ago when we mentioned LMAHO??
Jul, was that u who started it??

Kam, weaning machineSvs handheld blender difference?
Cuz I bought a preloved braun yest, but ordered a wean machine too.. If I dun need both, then will sell off my wean machine when it arrive..
happy.gif

Kam> oh ok.. Wean machine is like put inside press then ok liaoz.. I also not too sure how that works.. But my Braun definitely cheaper than wean machine.. Lol

jassie how how how to stimulate my baby so she can sleep????? teach me please!

by the way, what are your baby's pm sleep pattern like?

kiki, Rach OK! next Tuesday Causewaypoint. Erm, I have never eaten lunch at gelare before, so shui bian anywhere in causewaypoint should be fine....come to think of it, the last time i went causewaypoint was like nearly 2 years ago!

itsy come come! I'm taking 963 which will take me about 30 mins too, i think
happy.gif
actually i better go double check whether 963 goes to causewaypoint.

Rach do you bring Rayanne on all your "outings"? wow, i sooo cannot do impromptu outings, everyday need to plan until sui sui if not I'll have so many things piled up to do at home...need to clean, wash, cook dinner for hubby and myself- basically i'm like a maid+baby sitter+dog walker all roll into 1.

by the way, anyone know of any tingkat sans MSG which is good?

Hi everyone...

Finally found some time to post...

How's everyone?

I have been very busy ever since back to work. Hardly have time to surf net. My baby boy, Ethan, just recovered from his serious bronchitis. But now, it's my elder daughter's turn. Sigh...

Rach & Paige
30 mins bus ride... mmm.. not sure if it's possible. I've tried only 10min bus ride with baby. Anyway if I go, most prob will take MRT, can't leave home with him without the stroller :p

Paige
I'm using Tingkat dinner from Neo Garden, not sure got MSG or not but food quite nice. I've tried another company's dinner, no MSG but food sux, always cook salted veg!

Paige> yes I've never left home without Rayanne since her birth.. Maybe once for 2hrs while I went post office collect parcel.. My mum said she cried frm I leave home till I back..
Never dare to leave home without her since.. That was when she 2months plus I think.. :p

I've got my bag packed, ready to take n go anytime kind..
Just need to bathe her n myself then can leave home anytime le..

Ermm.. I was still doing household chores like sweeping (almost typed swimming, lol) n mopping up till 39 weeks pregnant.. But since then, I've left it totally to my mum,, just close both eyes n ignore the dirt, no need to cook also..
So in that way maybe I'm more fortunate to be staying w my parents ba.. Hee..

Can't imagine if I shift to my own place end of yr n if I have #2, then maybe different story liaoz.. But shld still be able to manage just need 3 hrs before I leave home maybe?? Lol!!

Paige,
how to stimulate bb ah? i tried reading him nursery rhymes today using a nursery rhyme pop-up book and he was fascinated by the pictures as well as the singing and he was rather fixated and got upset when i removed it after 8-9minutes... i would also do some exercise with him lo. you can hold his arms and legs and do some simple instructions, or even yoga poses with him. for my boy, he loves funny faces and peek-a-boo and enjoy playing it with a blanket of just with a piece of clothing that i changed out...

as for his sleeping patterns, he sleeps from 8.30pm to 8.30am, but wakes up at 10.30pm, 2am, and 5.30am to drink... breastfeeding baby mah, bo bian.... i am considering changing last feed to formula soon, hahaha, but still 'bu ren xin' at this moment..

kiki,
oh well, don't worry.... your bb may not have a favourite toy, but he has his favourite person with him during the trip ====>YOU!

bf-ing mummies,
you gals have your period back? after 4.5mths my period returns today...wah, i nearly can't rem how having a period feels like. you see, i concieved my first girl in nov 2008 and from then onwards i didn't have my period... lol....! it's a little exciting and yet sian..

rach,

don't worry la, my first girl was also like that. when i left her at my parents' place for a few hours when she was less than 3 months old, she cried like there was no tomorrow. my mother was so scared and i remembered i cried after knowing that she cried her heart out.. hahah, but now she is much older at 17mos old, she can't wait to wave bye-bye to me whenever i leave her there nowadays! lol. children do change. if you need to leave bb at parents' place for a couple of hours, rem to leave your "scent" behind. it can be a piece of clothing that you wore for a few hours or a sling that you use to carry her before dropping her off.. your scent will make baby feel secured
happy.gif

jassie
wah u really got a lil sumo! ur gal n boy side by side take pics look like twins leh LOL!

btw, /red{flower's} boy also v huge leh and also tbf! i think 9kg plus already! u r right tbf babies dun need to be scared overweight one la cos all r goodquality stuffs! research has also shown that bf babies has lower risk of developing obesity later in life.

Kiki
i wud buy distilled water from sg or if too troublesome, from the indo supermarts. get the more reliable brands there. the water in indo even after boiling cannot drink one lah! the pipes there r v v dirty. in my indo home, we also drink boiled distilled water everyday.

my gal had a v v bad diarrhoe when she came back from indo when she was 8 mths old. stool test showed that she had this v rare bacterias inside her and my pd said these bacterias r water borne and only from developing countries. poor gal had to take such horrible medication (specially concocted for her!) for 2 weeks to make sure the bacterias are totally flushed out of her system. pd said if not they will attack her kidneys! so scary right, i really freaked out then!

paige
oh yes my boy is still drooling like nobody business!! he has slight rashes on his neck now lor. his tooth is slightly out, very very tiny only but v sharp!!

Kam
yes u r right. my hands r less tied now! can breathe easier at home haha... but my boys this yr p3 aiyo the workload so heavy i really pity them. they hv rugby trainings so many times a week after come home its shower, sit a while read papers then its non stop do homework until dinner then homework and assignment again until sleep time and i need to help them. so im still very busy!
