yeah i also like the medela bottles. y not u go kiddy palace n get? got 10%disc if u're a member.

i use scissors to cut. must cut shorter lah. i stopped letting sam wear mittens at 1.5mths. cannot keep wearing else they wun be able to develop their fingers, hands will perpetually be in fists lor.

just tried to freeze 300ml in the boots milkbag. looks rather full. aiyoh i shd have put only 250ml or something. will go investigate after it's frozen n let u know if 300ml is possible.

haha i sort of had diarrhoea during the xmas season. maybe it's my body's way to detox n to maintain weight? haha

speaking of weight.. i've got 2.7kg to pre-preg weight - measured at gynae's the other day. say 200g accounted for by bm. so left 2.5kg?

sam used to do that, but not just when waking up but thru'out the day. think he's trying to explore the sensation of rubbing his head against things. he stopped liao, so maybe u wanna monitor a while?

lucky u! i think i still got half more pregnancy weight to shed. *stress* still can't fit into most of my pre-pregnancy clothes. i don't think i'm ever gonna be the same size again. sob sob...
 
me gonna go out collect my gal's passport later! didn't really managed to take a very nice photo of my gal...she kept giving me the 'blur' look coz of the camera's flash.

my boy turns his head violently before he wakes up to. but if i stuff de pacifier into his mouth, he'll go back into sleep. if i din he'll make a noise n i'll wait for him to wake up. once he sees me, he'll smile. wat a cutie =p

jul> haha. i tried putting 200ml into boots bag only. wanted to see if it's flatter or lansinoh is flatter. conclusion is boots is flatter, find it better than lansinoh in fact. not sure wat's de cost though =p

haha. now i give my boy a pillow to sleep with. so before waking up, instead of turning his head left n right, sometimes he'll put both side of de pillow up n cover his ears =p very cute oso =x

My maid is taking care of my boy now. Kind of miss him alot. Wow... u going back work in Feb? So long...

You can't expect full attention in the infant care. But he will eventually get used to it. So don't worry.

so he going to infant care only in feb. but worry he cant get use to life there. so stressed.

I can understand. Like when I first send my gal to childcare. She kept crying nonstop. Kept telling us she don't want to go school. Very stress. But dun worry... they will get used to it.

Why my boy cant sleep long even for nap...

like 100% of our time is jus for Him WHY WHY WHY.......

I really cant do our own stuff....

wan to eat oso difficult, wan to have proper conversation with my hubby oso difficult...

sigh.......abit of reject to have kid..din noe its sooo difficult...

why always quarrel with my hubby due to Him...sigh

i gained 14kg frpm pregnancy. think already lost 7/8kg after giving birth. so it took me 4.5mths to 3.5kg. aiyoh like that will take me more than 3mths to lose the rest - assuming my way of eating doesn't make me gain.

i can be scary.. 4 slices of bread for breakfast.. lunch/dinner need extra rice.. in b/w got tea breaks.. drink 4 cups of milo a day.. scary right?

yeah i know! it's like when i sit down to eat lunch, he'll start crying. when i wanna do some work, he can't play by himself. but guess bbs r like that. dun fret too much, no pt being frustrated. we can make it!

but hubs helps me a lot. i wash only the pumpset that i use in the day. i bot many medela bottles so that he can wash for me at nite n in the morn b4 he goes to work. so i only need to throw into the steamer then can use liao. he also takes care of the bb n lets me eat my dinner n watch tv in peace. the first feed in the am, 2nd last feed n last feed, he'll do. if not i long ago kisiao liao

regarding stroller arch.. yah... got different de..

bb weight..true la... easier to carry... but i wonder y she growing so slowly....
she's a 3760g bb at birth lo... now at 16 weeks only 6.05kg...

only 2.29kg in 4 months!! OMG...
i hope she's normal....

my boy oso cant sit n sleep himself. grrs. now he wan sleep need latch on lo. faints -_- heng hubby helps quite abit, else i dunno how to wash, pump, sterilise n handle him

n all mums need to pump in office once we return back to wk. so dun so stressed k. hehe. sometimes i oso think my boy is a trouble. make me have to sacrifice alot of time. like cant go oout with frens n colleague. but when i see him happy, i feel happy too =p

hehe. de milk din really expand much, fits nicely in de boots bag, but i only store 200ml.

Don't get depressed. It's very common for couple to quarrel over kids. Sometimes my hubby and I also quarrel. He kept complaining that I spent too much time on my kids than him. But when you see them smiling at you, your heart will melt.

My boy these 2 days wakes up every half an hour. Today 1st day @ work... *zombie*

Feeding
Today my boy first time at home with my maid. Seems like he did not drink much. The last feed I had for him was 6.30am. He only drank 12oz of EBM till 5.30pm. Is it normal?
 
prettymums> seems ok. my boy last latch with me is like 630am, subsequently while i'm at wk, he'll drink 110-120ml at 930am, 1230pm, 330pm n 630pm.

i just realise one of my EBM milk bag is slightly torn. Does anyone have any idea if i can thaw the milk? heartpain to throw away.

wat do u gals use to store the sterilised breastpumps n bottles to bring to office? do u was the pumps after each use or just leave the milk stains for next use? although i'm not looking forward to work, think i need to start getting ready... sigh

can't just see weight gain, coz ur gal was born big leh. if u take sam's birth weight, he more than doubled at 8 weeks, then tripled at 4 mths. as long as ur pd says ok right?

aiyah i think playtex liners size better. at least can store at 1 pumping. no enough to store at 2 pumps *sian*

u need to wash aft each pump.u can get those sterilizing pills and get a container to soak ur pump after u wash. leave the pump in the container till ur next use.
 
jul - wah u very gungho leh, use 300ml to try the milkbag. i had wanted to use tap water to try but since u try liao i dun need to! :p but 300ml a lot wor... i wun hv so much spare leh. then when hubs go back to work next wk i will pump less. think i dread him gg back to work more than him!!

michelle - boots better? but this one no double zip hor?

messy milkybag - seems like when i store, will always spill some milk on the ziplock area. should i clean up? n always cant seem to get rid of all air bubbles...

kris - thx for the recommendation for healthyway! brought jacob for jabs ytd. really much cheaper. but the gp at my area seem/look/sound very young...

my boy sleep thru the nite mostly, once in a while may wake up middle of the nite, but he sleep v late like 11pm plus and wake up ard 7am plus. We can't get any rest or do our own things until he sleeps!

do your kids' bowel movement change? my girl's poo poo changes from "banana" to "mud" after drinking BM, is it normal??

My supply is dropping and dropping. Cos I am a little bit depressed on BFing these few days. My girl has converted me as her "human pacifier". She refuses her pacifier and only wants to (active and comfort) suck on my breast to sleep. Wanted to wean her off my breast so I don't have to become a human pacifier. But with our parenting style/philosophy, "crying-it-out" method doesn't work for us, cos we can't hear baby cry. So for now, I am still the human pacifier. Probably would have to change my mindset if I can't do the CIO to wean her off my breast. Not having a positive thinking definitely affects my supply than anything else. Sigh......

Thanks everyone! Josh is all better today. Just whiny from lack of sleep cos he keep waking up due to puke or lao sai.
Hubs' office all on "free" leave from today until Monday, so he is taking over everything in the house for me to rest and recover.
Hopefully by the time 2010 starts, all the viruses will be gone.
Heng K has not been affected by any of this. Only had a bit of drippy nose for about 1 day last week.

I think we are all terrified of being sick, regardless MCG or not. Pumping when having bodyache is not funny!! I was almost tempted to not pump at all when I was having it. Sibei tong ku, feels like nipples getting ripped off.

I've officially washed n kept my freestyle n parts.. Haven been pumping for 3 weeks n very lazy to pump n wash..
It has been inside my sterilizer getting sterilized every now n then when I steam the pacifier.. So decided to keep it till I officially go back work.. The motor is collecting dust on my table too.. Lol!!

hey Michelle, u oso worried abt putting ur baby in infant care? my baby oso starting infant care next mon...kinda worried for him too...cos he wans to be carried all the time and his feeding habits are still veri erratic. dunno if the teachers thr knw wen he is hungry wen he is not hungry...haiz...but bo bian, cldnt find a realiable nanny to look aft him...

let's keep our fingers crossed!
