HUGS!!! I can understand how you feel, am living with my mil. It's not easy but the good thing is you will be moving out soon, my mil stays with us, so i don't really have a choice. Jia you Jia you!!
On some aspects, my mil & ur fil can shake hands & be good frens.
My milk supply can't build up from the beginning cos my mil say latch on too much will cause baby to have lung damage. As first time parents, we oso dunno anything, hubby listen to mil and tell me to give FM.... also panic that bb keep crying. The most IRONIC part is mil's 2 daughters are on TBF and she went to help them look after their babies previously loh!
Then when i decided to keep latching baby on, mil will say, why dun you give FM?!?! make me & my hubby quarrel many times during my confinement, that was one of my most depressing times after delivery.
I will always rmb tat time when she forced me to bathe bb when it's raining and keep saying baby not scared of cold. all stupid crap. Whenever she tell me need to let bb wear more clothes when weather is cold, etc, i will suan her in my heart, "didn't u say bb not scared of cold meh?"
Not to mention, sometimes after latch on, i heat up some EBM for him in case he's still hungry. Then my bb doesn't want to drink. So i don't feed him. My Mil will force my bb to drink & keep saying how can you dun drink milk? blah blah.
There was once she oso force FM on my baby when he can't finish and then my baby vomitted milk on her. Guess what she say, must be he never poo for days so his stomach not so good.. can't finish milk. Stupid rite! tell her dun force already she dun listen.
Then my mil can complain abt her daughter forcing milk on her baby. The kettle calling the pot black loh!

admire your "courage" to move back home like that leh. If i do that, my hubby will be more angry than me rather than anything.. cos if he has to go my parents' hse to fetch me.. is like he got no "face". So.... what i did is i just tell my hubby i gg to my parents' hse to stay (when everything is going on fine, no quarrels or unhappiness). So when i really buay tahan mil, i just bring bb over to parents' place and will not cause too much "misunderstanding".
Sometimes my mil pissed me off and the next day i bring bb out.... hahaha.
