<font color="0000ff">Rach</font> I want DBOrganiser!!
happy.gif
Oh, I'll wait for leg warmers pre-order, as all the babylegs I like kena 'chope' by others already
sad.gif

<font color="0000ff">mwerkz</font> wah, your infant care is cheap, I thought mine is already really cheap ($650 after subsidy - cherie hearts) as the other two i short listed is >$800 after subsidy!!

<font color="0000ff">MIM vs. pupsik</font>
anyone using both? which is less taxing on the shoulders?

<font color="#6600ff">Ling</font>

My girl doesn't really fall asleep after every feed during the day. She can stay awake till her next feed at times. But when it comes to the time for her to go to sleep at night. I change her into her sleeping attire, feed her, burp her, then lay her down and tell her it's time to sleep.

I have made it a point to let her know what is day and what is night. During the day, I'd be a little bit more noisy with the things I do... With little bit of clicks and banging here and there, and talking with our normal tone. During the night, HB and me talk in whispers and sometimes sign language ( LOL... I know ) So she'll know that night is the time when the environment is quiet and dark ( With a night light on ). We tell her it's time to sleep and gradually she'll want to be put down to sleep. She sleeps at about 1am-2am ( Which is the time me and HB sleeps ) And wakes up from about 7-9am.

paige> ya. de one is cheap cos is govt one. but good for me. cos it's de nearest infant care to my parents place, ez for them to help me bring him hm too =p

<font color="dc143c">Paige</font>
okie..noted.. so no changes in ur leg warmers.
happy.gif

which DBO u want? now i have 2 orders liaoz.. get 10 and we'll get 10%... but only $1.88 discount.. i wonder how to pass to u all.. if postage then the same liaoz.. coz her price already include postage..heheh..

Pupsik is less taxing... coz its a whole piece of cloth on ur shoulder... MIM tends to ride up... or issit ride down.. then the ring very painful on the shoulder... hehe..
but both also taxing..thats why we got manduca.. hahaha.. :p

rach
i don't have a fixed daily diet lah, but i eat mostly home cooked food which i guess is alittle healthier. Mt gynae did ask me to continue taking all the vitamins that i used to take during pregnancy coz babies will absorb these nutrients from us, so if you've been eating unhealthily then also not very good for baby bah

<font face="segoe print"><font color="#FF6666">Thanks Jess, Michelle n Pamelia for ur replies!!!</font>

Jess - i do swaddle my gal also.. but she has her way out no matter how we swaddle her.. the one we using is sent by my couz from Aust.. its those big n stretchable kind.. but also no use lo.. once she move.. thats it!

n i feel even if swaddling her works.. its not for long term wor.. she cant be swaddled all the way ma. i want her to learn how to slp on her own...

Pamelia - Jaelle oso dun fall alsp aft every feed now. We've tried the "let her know night n day" method.. but somehow it doesnt really work.. its now not so much abt her being able to slp long(cos she does! she slpt from 10.30pm to 7.30am this morning); its more of how to let her go to slp on her own. Like, we put her in her cot, say gd night, pat pat then she go slp.. </font>

<font color="0077aa">Ling</font>
i bought the stretchable one (recommended by shelled) not much help for my boy.. ends up as blanket now (good nice blanket)

went to buy another type with velcro fastening.. this is our "God sent help"!! so far so gd... he doesnt do much "magic" by loosening himself easily...

he doesnt sleep after the 9/10pm feed too.. so have to company him, play.. blah blah blah then lastly when he tired and bind him quickly/ swiftly...

yea.. swaddling not long term, but at least train them not to get "scare" easily and flank their arms up and wake themselves up.. so nex time they sleep they keep the hands to themselves during sleep (by hugging his fave bolster/ bean pillow, it helps my boy to sleep too.. hugging it then sleep on his sides, then pat pat him)

day and nite pattern oso tried.. he tends to be more kpo now and still see see look look.. even more

my boy is more afraid of nite time.. (dunno why)
we need to tell him we are at his sides, dun be afraid, go to sleep now, we are at our home, mommy and daddy at your side.. blah blah blah.. then it calm him a bit and he can feel sleepy and slowly close his eyes and then wait for KO... =)

<font color="0000ff">Rach</font> hmmm, yeah, not much savings hor...was thinking of getting the new design diaper organiser.

pupsik ok, then i will go hunt for a second hand pupsik, i use my sling a lot at home, but once in the wash, I'm in trouble as I rely on it a lot to put BB to sleep!! carrier I'm afraid too hot for baby coz I dont turn on the aircond in my living at home :p

Oh, since you are the pupsik expert, if I'm about 165cm and currently 50kg, what size should I take ah?? and since I'm still 5 kgs to pre-preg weight, if I managed to get down to my pre-preg weight, you think I can still use pupsik? (as its not adjustable)

Hi, my girl sleeps quite easily these days but it wasn't an easy road. First breastfeed, burp, for naps must read, play or do tummy time but at night... this is what we do.
1. bathe around 8.30pm, if she's not tired or hungry, we might read to her or play a little
2. swaddle with swaddle me, legs only, her arms MUST be free http://www.kiddopotamus.co/p_swad.php
make sure no pee, no poo
3. breastfeed in a dimly lit room (gotta set the mood ahaha), burp
4. sometimes she's fast asleep by now BUT... usually we put her into her crib and pretend to sleep at the railings (bit sad lah), within 15 mins she's usually asleep.

It wasn't like that at first, there used to be crying and pouting and we had to pat her etc.. but after 2 weeks we slowly reduced the patting, she reduced the screaming and now no more patting and after 15 mins she doesn't wanna sleep, I go sit behind her crib and read my book and I guess she still smells me or hears that I'm around and will go to sleep soon after. I just refused to do the carrying thing.

angel, rach
yah i think i might not need my yummie tummie le.. i ordered the shortie.. but now i'm fitting into my pre-preg bottoms.. left the jeans to be zipped and buttoned.. manage to wear them up the thighs... keke... but dont envy yet.. cos tum tum is not toned, still flab flab type
sad.gif
no time to tone up already.. but i definitely need to get new tops and dresses... at least can save on the bottoms now...

<font color="#6600ff">Paige</font>

Oh~ Hi There! (Belated) Yes, I was in the Swift Sport in front of you. XD

You must have recognized my hair.. Right? XD

I remembered one mummy did a mini tummy tuck during c-section. Who was it and was it good? Does that mean that she won't have the muffin top tummy?

<font color="#6600ff">Ling</font>

Oh... Okay... I get it... Actually whenever she cry/wail/make noise... I will make a noise to let her know I am there.( "Like Yes Baby, Mommy is here... Shuu shuu~ ") I will go over to pat her till she calms down 2 to 3 times... If she still continues to make these noises I just ignore her. Because they abuse the attention we give them if we were to keep attending to them at every noise/crying they make. Gradually, she falls asleep on her own. XD

kris> oops. i've been so lazy in eating my pills. only thing i eat is fenugreek. lol. n oso not all de time =x

sometimes when i more hardworking i take my vita-immune drink =p

Michelle
I wasn't able to push her sleep time backwards. Although we bring her out but she KO outside also. Like now.. she is also asleep already, but she will wake up for her 7pm feed and we will dream feed her at 10.

Occassionally she will also wake up for a 3 or 4am feed though. So its not tat she will sleep thru.

Falling asleep at night
My girl dun fall asleep on her own. She will just simply cry and cry. I will allow her to cry for awhile and then pat her. She will cry and wimper and then go to sleep while I pat her.

Even though she can see me and I talk to her.. she will just simply cry... Any suggestions on how I can make her go and sleep on her own?

shelled

U went paktor very long w/o K? Then ur boobs din explode? Nowadays I very lazy liao - only pump ard every 6h. But which means I still can't leave home for more than 4h+ stretch??? Like that I will have no life until I stop pumping???

tlisa> haha. my boy is cos day time he suppose to slp once, but cant fall aslp. so now super angry n need me pacify him to slp. dis is de most cham one. carry n make him sleep. even when he sleeping, must let him go into deeper sleep. very hard to push his timing back, cos he will fuss like mad.

oso dunno how to make him go to sleep himself. tat time was i leave him to cry n ignore him a few times, den he got used to it, den nite sleep he will auto go sleep

ling,
my gal also can't sleep on her own...how i wished! lol. who's baby can here? pls teach me, i also want to know. my gal will sometimes fling her arms and legs around if she's flat on her back. she likes to rub her eyes n face too when she's tired. usually i put her on her side to pat pat her. i will use both hands, one to hold down her arm to stop her from flinging it around coz it doesn't help her to sleep at all, then the other to pat pat her backside. i use the pacifier though. usually once pacifier in the mouth she will somewhat close her eyes liao.... she knows its time to sleep! also, sometimes she will take a peek at me, to see what i'm doing. i normally lie down next to her, and i notice that if she sees me sleeping, she fall asleep faster! so most of the time i pretend to sleep. can't afford to really sleep during the afternoon, coz only when she's asleep i can do other things! lol.

<font color="dc143c">kiki</font>

aahh...similar.... just now after latching.. i hug her to sleep on the bed. i put my arms across her tummy...and she initially weh weh (coz want bao bao) but after a few min she kept quiet...sucked her pacifier....
but took her 15min to fall asleep.. (stop sucking and pacifier fell out) then i got up...she slept for antoher 15min.... then woke up........... argh............

, i still trying to maintain 4.5litres of storage while i pump everdy. jus prepare for grow spurt or my mense come when supply drop

rach,
yes, i also have the pacifier keep dropping out problem. if she's not really asleep yet, once the pacifier drops out, she will make noise, so i got to pop it back in. sometimes quite frustrated...i perpetually have to stick 1 finger there to hold it in place, then when she abt to fling her arms again, i quickly hold it down. it can be quite tiring! but once she is really in deep sleep, her pacifier will drop out on its own and i will take it away.

If I send my #1 to YWCA, monthly will be around $250? But YWCA not really my first choice. My Hubs say the environment doesn't seem too bad, just tahan tahan send him there 1st, so if somehow he don't like going to childcare, at least less $$ at risk. Dunno what kind of funky theory is that. If I send my boy to a better nicer CC, i think the appeal to go is greater mah. Oh well, whatever.

<font color="ff3399">kiki / Re: My boy's bedtime "routine"</font>
Erm... Mine can sleep on his own. And ONLY on his own. If you try to pat him or whatever, he will kenna distracted by the fact that he SHOULD be sleeping, then after a while crank up big time. But before he goes to bed, must:
1) dim lights + aircon on
2) change diapers and wear pajamas (no pajamas cannot fall asleep also, dunno why)
3) 喝包包 (but even then also only sleep abt 5 hrs lor! WTH.)
4) Say good night to everyone, get hugs and kisses from everyone
5) Hold him for about 1 minute to burp and sing short lullaby.
6) Put down in cot and time for bed. Must reassure him that later when he wakes up I will give him milk and remind him "no fussing, no noise, time for bed".
Usually he will go to bed with a smile.
happy.gif
Like now, he already went to sleep liao. So I can spend time with #1 to shower, play water and blow bubbles a bit, brush teeth, do his ABCs before going to bed.

Tell your MIL hor, girls shouldn't be too chubby, grow up hard to become slim.
biggrin.gif

That's how I usually console moms who feel their baby girls are too skinny.
If baby eat well, sleep well, is generally happy, then sometimes skinny/chubby is genetics lah. Like mine all so big size not because they are really chubby, it's just that daddy and I both inherit our "bui bui" genes to them lor!</font>

Rach,

You still doing for the BO, cos like you said with postage it comes to the same? I want to purchase a few for my office Christmas presents.

shelled,
wah...your #2 good leh, can sleep on his own. lucky u! i also do all that u do leh...feed her milk baobao, change PJs etc etc. but still need me to pat pat one lor.

actually i look left look right, i don't feel that my gal is skinny! but ya lah...she is definately not as chubby chub as some of the babies i see here. hehe... but my MIL hor..always like to stress me big time. keep asking am i feeding her enough. sometimes feel quite upset. my gal is generally a happy baby. especially nowadays always cooing and very talkative! (baby talk of coz.)

are u bringing #1 to the gathering too?
