Tink HappyKae is right... more organized to get a upright freezer if it's just for storing breastmilk. My freezer is e chest freezer so I get abit of headache storing &amp; retrieving my EBM. IMO chest freezer takes up more space. M seriously thinking of selling away current one &amp; get a upright freezer.

U try to get e company to quote you on the freezer to see if price is still e same... And comes w 2yrs warranty

w e freezer... u can also stock up on more ICE-CREAM!!!!

keke... i think for my case is different, my DH isn't slow in changing diapers at all. in fact, faster then me, but sometimes any-o-how, nv secure properly.

honestly, i would have to say DH isn't all that bad a daddy lah. in fact, i'd have to credit him and say that he is in fact better then a lot of other daddys that i've seen or heard of. he did his homework and reading before bb was born, and he does help out with hsework and feedings. i don't really expect him to wake up in the middle of the night to change diapers, because he is now back to working, no longer on leave. but hor... my limit ends at this type of thing lor...not even past midnight and sms me to come change the diaper??! and he did it twice somemore hor! once is sms to change diaper, the other time is sms me to make milk coz he thinks bb is hungry. its not like its 3am in the morning! 1st time, i didn't get angry, let it go, coz thinking maybe he really damn tired. but 2nd time??? and my limits also ends when he rather play his stupid game..recently he machiam hooked on facebook mafia wars, playing on my account as well as his, dunno what he doing! why not play with our gal or carry her so that mommy here gets a break. i mean, c'mon lah! which is more impt???!!! grrrrrrrr.........

my hb not MCP type. he is just lazy sometimes. and he does TRY to test my patience and see how far can 'stretch' me. he does the morning feeds before he goes to work if my gal wants to drink (since i feed on demand) and he also cuts her nails. i don't dare to do it.

one thing abt my hb is that he is also somewhat like yours. he does dote on me and won't sting on baby. he got me an LV bag as a surprise gift when i discharge from hospital. i had initially wanted to buy for myself but changed my mind, thinking it will be better spent on my baby gal instead. I think being pregnant and a mommy has somewhat changed me..now everything is my gal first..hb also 2nd etc :p i can foresee too that nextime i wld be bad mommy that always screams, nag and discipline my gal while daddy is angel and spoil her...sigh. before born already buy this and that, spending quite lavishly on her. but hor...i still have some min expectations lah, for him to perform daddy duties. no amt of LVs or pradas can replace that for me :p

haha..i think your hb and mine can be good friends. they have the same favourite phrase! he also always like to say "if a problem can settle with money, it is not a problem!".

i think won't lah...coz babies know their 'limits' according to my PD. well, at least it worked quite well for my gal...she always knows her limits and would tell me by either stop sucking the bottle or she uses her tongue to pui out the teat.

my gal was born 3.04kg, discharged that time she dropped to 2.7kg and 1 mth later following PD's recommendation, she gain weight to 3.75kg. so abt 1050gms, which is avg abt 250gms/wk, which is quite in line with the avg norm, not too overweight or underweight.

The avg range for 1st mth shd be between 112 to 200gms.

your hb also winner. play with bb then when bb cry just throw to u. my hb also like that, everytime bb cry, he will call for me and say BREAST BREAST! coz apparently everytime i pop her on my breast, she sucks immediately and shut up. i think i'm like pro liao, now i can pop her on my breast, carry in my arms and breastfeed walking around or on PC using 1 free hand!

currently my gal doesn't wanna take the pacifier at all. that day out of desperation, i tried to pop the pacifier in her mouth. she damn smart, suck a bit, gave me a blur look and pui out immediately. i tried 3 times - FAILED. i'm hoping that when she gets older, she will take the pacifier, rather then suck her thumb (if she does). i don't quite like the idea of thumb sucking.

my girl just used pacifier today.. we did tried once longn time ago when CL ard... she suck a while and pui out....

today my mum give..and held her hand at the pacifier..she suck...then happily suck suck liaoz...

and only weh weh when the pacifier drop out..once put back in..she ok liaoz..
i've never felt this relaxed... my mum too..
coz its always carry carry her..but today with the pacifier...can leave her to sleep in her cot....
and i only fed her 3 times today...
9am, 1230pm, 330pm... now i'm waiting to feed her at 6.30pm..which is very soon...
and its 3 hourly!!!! she always feed 2 hours... +-.... and she only latch 8-10min now...
i hope she does get the milk she needs...

but i wonder how much can be consumed in 8-10 min of latching... >.<"

saw your milk powder comment and thought about my husband. you know, my husband is helpless when it comes to making milk. there was once he ever provided the wrong FM to my boy to bring to school before, causing a very bad allergic reaction. cos both tins looked "similar". there was also once when he was complaining to me that milk powder was very expensive, and then he tried to reduce one scoop per feed for my toddler. luckily i discovered and scolded him, else toddler will be drinking diluted milk in school.

hubby duties,
but other than being super blur at feeding, my husband enjoys spending time with the boys, like playing with them. he especially loves bathing together with my toddler. it's their bonding time, so they will do things like splash cold water at each other, fill the toilet sink with water (dunno for what reason), sit in the bathroom for a very long time and blow bubbles etc. if i bath with my toddler, it'll be super fast, just soap him, rinse off and we're done. once or twice when my toddler was angry with my husband and didn't want to bath with him, my husband was actually quite sad. so far he has tried bathing the baby once before. next time when the baby is bigger and can hold his head upright, i'll chuck the bathing duties over to him. maybe husband and toddler and baby can all bath together, hahaa. as long as they smell/look clean after their bath, i shall close both eyes and pretend i didn't see what outrageous things they do in the bathroom.

i doubt my husband knows what LV stands for, or how an LV bag looks like. he's quite nerdy, and the only time he bought me a bag was when he was shopping at borders. luckily i don't crave for branded bags, and i do like the one he got for me =)

but very useful. now i juz wear when i wan feed bb, put bb under it n look n latch bb looking from the top. can monitor n c if bb is really sucking from the top thruout de feed too. figured out tat dun need front to back cover oso. cos most of the time, i only cover half my front, de side which i m nursing, n bring de rest of de cover to de back. so dun really need to wear nursing wear oso =p

i thought i can fit into all my normal clothes leh... but nope! seems like i can't wear all my bottoms, shorts, pants or skirts! my hips have expanded by quite a bit. thankfully can fit into some dresses but not all also. can the hips part strink back to before pre pregnancy size ah?? if it can't, how ah? then what am i gonna do with my entire wardrobe? *sad**

earlier hb n i went sembawang shp centre to have dinner at astons. i like semb shopping ctre..if only its bigger and have more shops. the escalators are stroller friendly. which other shopping centres have such stroller friendly escalators i wonder? after that went to eat my favourite zenzai desert at MOF. ooops! suddenly all that good advice given by my massage lady not to take cold drinks and stuff for 30 days went out the window. :p

Just had my baby shower with my family today...

I am really tired... Things got pretty screwed up during the preps.. Will fill you in next time...

Right now... I HAVE A VERY BIG PROBLEM.

Problem 1 was, I can't squeeze out time to pump today... My shirt was wet at night. 7 hrs of no pumping AGAIN! >.< Managed for a quick pump at home and got 140ml... Small problem...

Big problem,

Has anyone had sore nipples to the extent it is HARD? My " under supplied boob " Nipple is very hard and painful to the touch.. WHY??? =( It gives out a stingy feeling occasionally.. Now I only dare to pump on No.1 speed. And my yield is Not even 50ml After 3 1/2 hours... What do I do? T^T

7 hrs no pumping and supply still can yield 140ml is damn good wor...

when my nipples were soar previously, if i remember correctly it was not hard. hard and painful sounds like engorgement to me. its soar mah...of coz got stingy feeling, likely from broken skin! must apply nipple cream religiously then. it helps to heal and soften the nipple.

i think i need someone to help me out...gimme a live demo of how to use this pouch thingy. still can't seem to do it properly. no matter how i try, my gal looks so crampy and uncomfortable inside, her face will turn red! and she seems to be giving me the look that says "mommy, what the hell are u doing to me!". lol!

when my bb got angry with bb and lost his temper on bb... i freak out!!!! im so worried... the only things he cant control his temper is bb keep fuss &amp; crying? he get out of hands..

he bathe bb,change diaper,wake up when bb cry at nite for feeding....

i feel so heart pain when bb suck on pacifier... cuz they are suckin hard for noting to come... like very poor ting like tat...use so much strength in sucking but at the end no milk lo

You used my method to get letdown huh? Mine also splash like mad lor, I always have to unscrew to bottle to stabilise the air pressure in the funnel/bottle again. Apparently it's cos my letdown too strong, too much milk come out that it doesn't drip into the bottle fast enough. Then the suction start to get weak cos the air is not moving properly.

Sounds like you've set your pump to a suction setting too high, or you've pumped too long and caused soreness. (But I could be wrong.) Hard probably cos swollen lor. For me when it comes to pumping, really is slow and steady wins the race. If I try to make it faster, end up my milk stops dripping totally.

Yes I bot that model. Supposed to be better for newborns b/c it can recline lower. Also, it's supposedly portable - can fold up n carry along more easily - if u need to.

$139 is discounted price liao - no further disc

Oh I use Enfalac A+. I used S26 in the first mth. Sam seems ok with both brands of FM, no funny poo colour or constipation or diarrhoea.

So if it's because I set the pump too high... Now I use the minimal I would be better? Applying Lanolin will help?

I'd love to be slow... But time isn't in my hands when you'll never know when the little one's gonna "explode" and you don't have sufficient rest.

Sensitive to touch an stingy feeling on and off is what I feel... I jump when I accidentally hit my nipples in the shower.

Now after 5hrs... my supply dipped like crazy! Not even 50ml from the sore side... =(

I am very worried what's in store for me when I go back to work tomorrow...

in my initial BF days.. i apply Lanolin like nobody's business.. after every latch i apply, after every pump i apply..
coz its sooo sore!!!
minimal not so strong for the poor nipple ma.. try using a lower setting loh.. :p

My freestyle has 10 levels.. i always use only 2-3...sometimes 4.. but 4 makes me painful...
so i only use 2-3. i guess thats very low liaoz..
some poeple say freestyle suction no good.. i wonder if htey are using level 10..and how they endure it!!

do u have extra EBM in ur fridge?? or are u expressing for her daily needs??
actually it works better to latch and then pump after every feed..though the expressed amount is smaller.. but it helps to empty ur breasts everytime,
telling ur brain to supply more...
and latching on produces certain hormones that stimulates production..which pumping wont...
so if u only latch once in a few days.. its not effective...
pumping will also cause supply to eventually drop off and reduce....
my fren pumped exclusively throughout.. by 4th month, her yield is less than 100ml each time..
and she told me its dropping everyday...
so she intend to stop BF once the supply is gone.. thats like leaving to chance to me.
and she supplements with FM..coz she says her supply has always been low...
but well... no latch of coz low la...and it depends on how often she pump also..

u are diligently pumping daily..thats good.. but try to latch more often too... then ur supply will go up faster...
like what shelled is doing...she is feeding 2 now!!
she pump 30min before latch...and then after latch...

Pamelia, share with you my experience.

I experienced hard boots during last weekend. I am new so i jus tout maybe i am not pumping enough. I jus ignore the hardness.That time my breast already red, hot and hard.
On tues, i got high fever of 40 degree.Went to see GP. GP said is inflammation. so for the next few days, i ate medicine for my fever &amp; antiboties for my inflammation. I continued to pump (every 2 hrs if possible &amp; apply cabbage) the cabbage really helps to lower my breast temperature.

Now i am still on medication. I have stopped giving my BB BM since the visit to GP. I feel quite bad becos of my ignorance, my BB has no breast milk for 1 week.

juz pumped out another 45ml. erms. stress. bb better dun wake up anytime soon. though usually he will wake up at 930 looking for milk again. but he oredi drink at 7 n 8am respectively!! but maybe he only drink very little. cos both times he fell back asleep -_-

No lah, bb was not under my blouse. I was wearing nursing wear so it looked like baby was just sleeping with his face plastered to my boob. Oh, the wonders of nursing wear! The only moments of boob-nakedness is when revealing boob for bb to latch on, and when bb unlatch.

I don't think we expect to be able to wear bikinis until at least a few months later. We're not Hollywood celebs leh. I'm also almost back to pre-preg weight. The last 500g is just stuck here since 2wks ago! And yes, flabby jelly belly. Pffffft.

Anything that comes out from the ass should stink to a certain degree. That includes newborn baby farts, TBF or not.

Letdown powerful also no use leh. Just now I just pumped my left boob from rock hard engorged state – only 80ml lor! *faintz* Right boob rock hard can give me 170ml, left boob only 80ml?! What the hell...
But on the bright side, I think I pump alot faster cos of the strong letdown. I "playdoh" my boobs in ard 15mins, and that gets me abt 70ml (left) + 100ml (right) between feeds.

With 1 nipple down... I stupidly spilt about 50ml of my precious BM whilst doing transfering!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

I am so mad at myself right now.. Why the Eff didn't I put the bottle properly!!!!

I am asking myself the very same question for the past week too... Just yesterday along I couldn't squeeze time in...
Maybe I'd have to sacrifice a certain time slot to be appointment free...
