Mommies, breastfeeding is actually really not tt difficult, just a bit of hard work.
Always remember that Milk production is a demand & supply process.
To speed milk production and increase overall milk supply, the key is to remove more milk from the breast and to do this frequently, so that less milk accumulates in the breast between feedings.
That's e reason why I tandem pump when my #2 only nurses 1 side, I pump/manual xpress every time after BB latches to make sure breast is empty. I even add in pumping in between nursing sessions in e 1st 2 mths when I was trying to build up my supply.
e diff in my supply was really v great. With #1, though I managed to TBF her for 1 yr but my supply is more or less just sufficient for her daily needs. I had to relay on nursing milk tea to boost my supply.
With #2, My supply was gd, by 3rd mth, I was running out of storage space & needed to purchase a deep freezer to keep my frozen EBM.
I didn't give up when baby Jed cldn't latch. I pump faithfully @ 3hrly interval, even @ wee hrs (Thank you Shelled for keeping me company on MSN during e wee hours). I was only getting 5ml during my initial pump & now after 10 wks of perseverance, I am getting min 250ml per session.
Pls don't give up so easily unless there's a medical condition ya.
