babiesmeme: Hello! my school already told the security guards to take down ppl's particulars going into the school. There's also a notice at the gate stating that those (including staff and students) who have traveled to affected countries will not be allowed into the school and to go home straight away. There are certain precaution measures taken by schools under regulations that we have to follow... The new mask that is being handed out are suppose to be better and more comfy.. I had to wear one during one of the duty. But as you are stationed in the office (which i believe is air-conditioned), it will be less stuffy.

Maybe you would like to bring up your concerns to your Principal, and see what he/she suggest? Maybe let you do work that minimises contact with the general public like paper work etc. My principal, vp, hods very understanding and deployed me to other stations that has minimal contact with the sick/large group of students when they know i preggie. I believe your school management should be very understanding as well

If convenient then you bring your kids lor, otherwise don't trouble yourself. My boy can sit there and eavesdrop on what the mommies are talking about. Just like the last meetup. He very kaypoh one.

I guess BATCH 1 should reach me by Wednesday, then gimme 1 day to calculate shipping &amp; pack the stuff accordingly. Your DH should be able to come collect on Friday! I keep you updated, ok? Also have to see how fast BDL process the package. But so far they haven't disappointed me yet.

my gynae also said can take flu jab but i dun wanna take the risk leh. after all its injecting virus into out bodies and worst it doesnt prevent from h1n1. the rest of the flu i not scared. h1n1 incr almost by 100 just yesterday alone. crazy lah!

my office offered me a tamiflu jab two days back. but i turned down the offer cos i'm not sure if it's adequately tested to be pregnancy-safe.

I checked with the Live Chat operator, and she told me the dimensions are 22" x 18" x 16" = 20.77kg. I dunno what this BBmallonline is doing lor! I requested for them to pack my order as compact as possible liao!

I've decided to merge the shipping costs for both BATCH 1 &amp; 2 then work out the individual costs. But if you guys wanna pick up the loot earlier, then just top-up shipping later after BATCH 2 arrive and I work out the shipping costs lor. I trust you all won't run away also.

errr.. e vaccine is not for H1N1? then take for what? I still tot of getting one from my company doc.. kept having flu nwadays n this morning woke up feeling feverish but measure no fever ley..took flu medi twice yest nw still feeling drowsy but at least flu clears liao..

seems like only myself, jul and shelled went for the 1st meet up.. so today will see alot of new faces again.. hehe..

Just happened to see ur post abt shipping when I cudn't resist popping in for a while.

I just got my loot from another Babymallonline spree. Same prob! My mattress protectros were like $36, but the shipping came up to $44! Nearly fainted! Seems like this BBM is in the habit of packing stuff into big big boxes now. So frustrating hor. All the savings from our cheap spree went into the shipping cost liao.
 
babiesmeme... i'm working in school too. don't worry too much, staffs and students who have travelled to affected countries were asked to stay at home for 7 days. ask your admin manager or principal not to assign u tasks that need u face a lot of pple... wear a mask if necessary...

Ling... wah u can tahan the long coach journey? i took bus from narita airport to hotel, 2 hours then cannot tahan already :p

tamiflu is recommended for both treatment and prevention. can prevent up to 50-90% of cases, but i've read that it's not certified safe for pregnancy.

Actually mine won't be so scary until $44. I agar agar counted, cos we have S$80.43 savings from the 20% off, shipping is actually S$70.96 only. I just dulan why the box so big. Divided by 9 mommies and their 39 items, the shipping won't be as scary as your other spree lor. I guesstimate 1 mattress protector maybe about $6/pc?

But I think even when you pay $44 for shipping, each mattress protector still cheaper by $10 than if you buy it here, cos total up you only pay $20/pc right? Fitted mattress protectors here are easily $30-$50 lor! And hard to find some more. Dun even know why shops don't sell it.

It's recommended that you do it after the 1st trimester, but since all of us now are already in the 3rd trimester, confirm safe lah. I do mine @ STRIP Wheelock (level 3).
